Gareth Bale saves the gameweek, as Tottenham’s 2-0 win draws things to a close. Time for us to round things up, rummaging through the Opta data to pick out the statistics that matter, taking a punt at the Fantasy Premier League bonus points along the way…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

My rival is going out of the cup to a dead team.
The dead team is ranked 74,000 though! Not a bad ranking for making only 2 transfers all season, both in gwk 6.

sorry fellas have that was my younger brother, just been out fetching some ice cream and more refreshment, logged out of my fpl eam site but accidentally left this on. apologies on his behalf for whatever hes done, he says he tried to write some offensive stuff and it stopped him so thank god! he also, despite joking that hed linked my team to some dodgy adult website, has actually managed to link as when he came on i had my history page url on a word document ready to link it, so at least he did something useful. sorry if whatever he has written has caused any annoyance, he says hes just reposted the same things loads of times but its stopped him as it said u couldnt do repeat posts, cant be bothered to trawl through the pages so just want to say sorry for any trouble and annoyance caused. ultimately luckily ive come out of it with a linked team and he didnt muck up my side so not too bad, but sorry for whatever hes written. bloode 14 year olds, particularly when intoxicated

Right gentlemen... the plan last week was to use 2 freebies to transfer Larsson & Ba out for Sturridge and Osman this week. But my defence looks slightly precarious now with Enrique, Jones, Evans, Naylor and Simpson.

please stop reading if you bore easily:

I have 42 points with Vorm, Enrique, Evans, Brown, Nani, Silva, Bale, Sessegnon, RVP(C), Ade, Sturridge

Cup opponent has 38 with Ruddy, Caulker, Raylor, Silva, Bale, Larsson, Brunt, Rooney(C), RVP

yes he had only 9 eligible players, captained rooney, and im still sweating it.

Am i safe from bonus shenanigans?

nahh. no one ever saw chiefs thing coming. but it happens, thats why its so hard to go undefeated. cant take your foot off the pedal for anyone. 49ers are a good team, great defense, but havent really played a juggernaut offense like NE, NO, or GB. they wont be able to control the clock with the running game like they have against other teams, and they played the weakest division in football.

On the other hand as a fan of defensive play I'd put forth the arguament that says the 49ers & Ravens are good solid football teams in all three phases and stand a good chance of beating those teams if they play to their full potential.

As those type of teams tend to play well in post-season and teams reliant solely on offense tend to find themselves less effective when the refs allow a little more leniency about in coverage I can smell the upsets brewing already...

defense wins championships they say. i whole-heartedly agree.

i can totallyy see the ravens or steelers representing the AFC instead of NE because of their defense. I just dont think there is defense in the league this year dominant enough to stop Rodgers or Brees. Maybe they can once every 5 times hypothetically matched up. But odds are Rodgers or Bress would dissect those defenses through the air in clinical fashion more often than not. Both SF and BAL are stronger against the run, but can be beaten with the pass.

Don't mean to offend anyone .. Just plain humour 🙂

    if EPL was a classroom:

Arsenal is a boy who works hard
through out the year but fails to
    succeed.
Manchester City is a spoilt child who
purchases all the expensive books but
is never interested in reading them.
Liverpool is a child who had stopped
studying long ago and is very proud of
    the academic achievements of his
    grandfather.
Manchester United is a boy who
passes all the exams and performs well
in the final exams and tops the class.
Finally,Chelsea is a boy who fails and
blames his teachers then his family
finds a new teacher for him every year.

          It's basically:

          Ba/Silva/Jones-->Aguero/Bale/Smalling (4pt. hit)
          or
          Silva/Ba/Jones-->Silva/ADEABAYOR/Jones (no hit)

Red arrow and down 4k places, that was some serious damage limitation during that Spurs game.

That's stumps. Australia needs to add on another 50 runs to have a chance, in my opinion.

Anyone considering Odemwingie. Fixtures look fairly decent until gw 27. Home games against Eve, Nor, Swansea, and Sund. Away games against, Tot, Stoke, Ful, and Wolves. Nice little differential to Sturridge as well. Can see WBA scoring in all those except Tot away.

Sturridge has to cool off eventually doesn't he?

Ba and Verm out -----------) Ade and BAE in

Should I do these transfers now with a 4 point hit, or spread it across two GWs??

is it likely price rises/falls will stop me doing this next week????
