Gameweek 26 concludes at the home of the champions for a match-up which became a very different proposition only late last week with news of Claudio Ranieri’s departure.

The Foxes now hand the reins to caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare in a bid to halt a dismal run that has seen them lose all of their last five, with not a single goal scored in the six.

On paper, this seems a formality for Liverpool, then, although Jurgen Klopp’s men will surely be anticipating a reaction both from the team and the vociferous Foxes faithful tonight.

Nonetheless, the Reds arrive in buoyant mood. They come fresh from a fine 2-0 victory over Spurs back in Gameweek 25, a match that saw Sadio Mane emerge as a two-goal hero and a Fantasy hot property ever since.

Mane has been involved in 17 goals (scoring 11, assisting 6) – more than any other Liverpool player and is backed by more than 366,000 new owners, with over 113,000 FPL managers handing the Senegalese the captaincy.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Wouldn't want any other manager at the club but he's had a mare again. His strength is becoming a weakness, he is too loyal to some of these players. Everyone knew Vardy would destroy Lucas.

The inconsistencies of the performances has to be a major worry they go from one week looking like world betters to looking like complete chomps the following week not sure if Klopp had any genuine tactics tonight as he wasn't sure what way Leicester would play. He should've been prepared for Leicester going back to what they deep best last season almost played straight into their hands saying that City did the same earlier this season

Build a defence and work from there. Just pathetic really. Our best defender plays for Palace whilst we have 2 midfielders over the age of 30 playing in defence. It just doesn't make sense. It'll probably get a bit more worse before it gets better. I trust Klopp, but I don't trust these players. Maybe 3-4 at max.

I have Lukaku ibra kane with kun lined up next week.
Looking at ibra and kane afterward, they have some good fixtures.
Lukaku has a few tricky ones in a few weeks and Costa seems to have slowed down, so maybe

Liverpool now destined to finish 6th. Its not happening for them anymore. Can anyone see them bouncing back to their early season form or has Klopp completely exhausted them now with his season of hard pressing tactics.

Mane at AFCON was a joke of a scapegoat for the title challenge falling apart. Tonight was just embarrassing. Would be amazed to see him scrape into the Top 4.

I decent excuse, I'd put merit to the idea that it destroyed any momentum they may have had. Now they are struggling to bounce back to any form of momentum.

They need a big injection of funds this summer to get lots of strength in depth. That's the only way Klopp's pressing game can work if he is able to rotate to keep players fresh.

Yep crazy amount of football still to play but we have a good big squad and if rotated effectively we can succeed i reckon.. Can't be rolling out the big guns for 2nd legs when your 3 nil up like last week though.. Pogba Zlatan Mkhi etc should have had the feet up for the cup final last week rather than playing against St Etienne

                Agreed
But i think it was because St Etienne were so good at Old trafford; it made Mourinho weary.
Unreal how Zlatan, at his age has played so many games; and he doesn't even look fatigued.

Is there any other job in the world where employees can just decide to stop trying in order to get their manager fired?!

I think its a disgrace how the players have acted.....people will say owners were justified now but should players have so much power that can down tools to get someone sacked?
