In our final article of the evening, we check in on the Opta data in the first members’ article of the Gameweek, pinpointing some of the most impressive performers over the ten fixtures so far.

Delving into the numbers, our attentions turn to in-form midfielders from Everton and West Ham ahead of a reduced Gameweek 28.

Swansea and Southampton both supply us with a pair of eye-catching assets, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s numbers come under analysis as his owners take to the transfer market in light of today’s suspension.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Is Jones worth bringing in next week? United have a good run of fixtures till the end of the season

Cannot believe Whelan is my top DGW player this week ,who would have guessed that?
Hopefully he continues his good form against City.

I'll of had him for 10 weeks on Saturday! Defoe was on a blank streak so I'd still say taking Alonso out the day before his haul was my worst transfer.

There's no point in getting Llorente is there is want Kane the week after

Same with mane. Have Firmino and Man City maybe not ideal if hazard, Sanchez and Spurs mids are better options?

Unless you've got 11 playing Llorente will only cost you 2 points at worst and could be a big upside. Unless you've already got Kane and would have to sell

      The same with Mane

What is the best 4-man midfield after GW28? Money no object.

I'm thinking Mane, Sanchez, Eriksen, Siggy (alongside Kane, Lukaku, Llorente, de Roon)

    What do you think?

Depends on who you're selling though. No point selling Alli for Coutinho. You're going to want Alli back. Selling Ibra for Lukaku makes sense. Selling Stan for someone playing makes sense. If you're not gonna want the player back, then now is the best time to drop them but if you're gonna want them back straight away, it's another transfer so probably isn't worth it

Not quite sure as to how much this would impact Arsenal's performance in future but there has been serious questions regarding their performance in the recent time undoubtedly.

Would you hold on to not getting Sanchez atleast till post GW30 (they face City in GW30) as City would pounce on this opportunity to hit Arsenal on their terrible morale.

    Jaku
    Brunt, Coleman, Robertson

      Sterling to Coutinho

      • 9 Years

This. Ake doesn't play. Don't think Friend does either. Therefore it's only a -2 point hit to do one of these to Mawson or Funes Mori

I have 3 SWA and perfectly fine with it - Mawson is only gonna play sth like once every 2 games, Siggy is Siggy and Carroll is the perfect 5th mid.

+ SWA have good fixtures between now and the end of the season

There's Navas and Nolito as back up

Aguero, Sterling, Sane, Yaya probably most at risk of rest or reduced minutes

Personally, they'll all start (KdB in for Yaya) with Navas and Nolito being given minutes as prep for Saturday

Otamendi will probably start instead of Stones too

I agree. Yaya looked tired. Silva is captain and key player for Guardiola, maybe rested but may also play deeper with KDB as no.10.
Rotation in defence probable. Otamendi and Zabaleta maybe start vs Sun.

Is everyone ready for their season defining moment tonight?

If Kun bags a brace, a lot of people will be happy. If Kun blanks or gets benched then the managers who saved their TC will gain the upper hand and there's not much you can do about it except plan your WC very carefully.

I am not in a bad position actually.... Ranked 12k overall and trailing narrowly in an important ML..... If Kun gets a good score, I gain a huge advantage.... And as you said, if he is rested or blanks, WC and bench boost will hold the key....

      Season defining moment haha.

It's a triple captain. One more captain than any other week. It's not season defining at all.

Picking Lukaku over Kane as captain last week was just as major decision as far as point swings.

Everyone has over hyped this chip for it to be far more major than it is.

Pedro could be a better should than Hazard given the price.

Kane will come to my team for GW29 faster than you can say "I'm wearing my speedos"....

It's just that I had Kane for those home games against Hull and Burnley, and capped him too, and he got 2 points.... 4 captain points... Then in the next game he missed that pen, and looked really bad, then I sold for Costa... And then in the next game he gets 16 points.... His run from there when I sold him was 16 - 2 - 17 - 5 - 2 - 6 - 1 - 20 - 13..... Argh.... Already decided that Kane will be in my team next season for the whole season.... 😀

I do blame then... Sold Alli and Costa for City players too (who will be benched tonight)... Ahhh, the misery.... 😀

But the risk in selling them was always there. These are consistent points scorers, just because city had a double GW doesn't make the sgw players less likely to score. I kept Kane and Alli. They just put 4 past Stoke and are back playing 352 which has seen them produce lots of double figure returns over the past few weeks. You cannot blame a player for scoring just because you sold him

People over rate triple captain. It's not that major, just one more captaincy point.

Ya, they can get you some decent points, but you still need the rest of your team to score well too.

I am on 60 points with TC Aguero, Sterling and Pieters

HtH rival 70 points with Aguero C, Sterling and Pieters.

I need 11 points from Aguero to win my HtH this week, but the main point is that either of us could realistically score 100 points and still lose the HtH

    - how crazy is that ?

Like most am hoping for a rout tonight, but have a feeling it's going to be a big anti climax with random scorers, resulting in rage transfers for Aguero->Lorente and Sterling->Liverpool mid 🙂

    Randolph (Jaku)
    Coleman, Evans (Holgate, Alonso, Holebas)
    Mane, Firmino, Siggy, Phillips, Fletcher
    Lukaku, Llorente (Kane)

    Holgate > Fernandez(Swa) -4?

Would have 11 starters and playing def afterwards.

    Mane Firmino Siggy Antonio
    Lukaku(C) Llorente

Bench: Pickford Alonso Friend De Roon Aguero

Would you take another hit to have 11, or save?

    Ml leader leading by 40.

He has kun(tc), sterl, kdb, pieters, grant

I have kun(tc), sterl, grant and Crouch.

Kinda don even care what kun does. Rather hoping for a goal or two from Crouch!!!

    How wierd is that?!

Just to spread some positivity: Even if Aguero were to start on the bench, there's always the possibility he could come off the bench and score a hat trick, right? Lewandowski scored 5 goals in 9 minutes as a substitute after all 😉

He plays so deep though. Could have had more goals the last night if Sterling could pass the ball better. He had a horrible game. Has his pass for Kun's goal not deflected coming past the defenders feet, it wouldn't have found Kun he would have had no goal!

Lol I know. Some of the crosses delivered by Sterling and Sagna were so bad, some of us would've been able to cross a ball better -_-

Triple Captaincy Chip - don't overrate it.

I think most would agree that if we are going to be realistic there is a very, very, very slim chance of getting a better triple captain than last seasons 25ish points for Sanchez or Aguero.

So this week if Sergio only manages a 1 point cameo tonight then he will have 8 points. So 17 points less than the max we could expect. Is 17 points really that major in the grand scheme of things?

I mean last week most of us went Lukaku over Kane for captain which was a 14 point swing. I went Lukaku and although it's a shame I didn't go Kane, I know it won't ruin my season.

It's one extra captaincy score, nothing more. Those thinking it will make or break our seasons are over reacting. Also, so many of us are in the same boat so it matters even less.

Its relative, really. If another standout option, say in gw 33 or 34, with high percentage of TC, gets a 25-30 p haul, than an Aguero 8 points could potentially harm you.

    C) Siggy
