We’re left punctured and deflated like that old plastic ball you used to kick over the fence into the neighbour’s garden.

That neighbour is Pep Guardiola, who appears to take great pleasure in putting his big teamsheet tinkering garden fork through our bouncy double Gameweek dreams.

Recorded in the dying stages of Manchester City’s non-event clash against a stubborn Stoke, Jonty, Andy and myself are left rather flat during this episode of the ScoutCast.

Even the most imaginative accountant couldn’t hide the fact that, after transfer hits aplenty and having witnessed Messrs Kane, Costa, Hazard and Lukaku grab hauls, all three of us depart Gameweek 27 in the red.

Gathering ourselves after that disappointment, and steered by your questions, we nonetheless press on to offer our latest musings on the minefield of blanks presented by Gameweek 28, while checking in on Sanchez’ fading star and third striker options.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience, pastry and all, via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Pretty sure this is the first time I've ever taken a -12.. Quite hopeful that it'll pay off though..

With Phillips confirmed injured Im torn between getting a west ham mid in for coverage in gw28 or getting tom carroll longterm in preparation to moving to 3-4-3? Im already on -4 pts (-2) to get llorente and lukaku in.

    Jaku
    Brunt-Baines-Coleman
    Mane-Cout-Siggy-Phillips*
    Lukaku-Llorente-Barnes

    Subs:Heaton-Sterling-Valencia-Yoshida

What should I do with Philips then?

        Rotation risk imo

    2. Miguel Sanchez
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 9 months ago

I'm in the same boat. Phillips to T.Carroll allows me funds to get Sanchez back in one move when i want him back but King has three nice fixtures and can contribute a few goals.

      1. OldBenKenobi
        • 8 Years
        8 years, 9 months ago

yeah im looking to get Kane in for Barnes and Mane to Sanchez in the coming weeks. dont fancy having to shift out another mid to get them in. Im thinking a -2 for Carroll this week might be worth the risk

        1. Miguel Sanchez
          • 9 Years

Let's go for Tom Carroll. Would only leave myself with benching issues next few weeks with Josh King and Andy Carroll together.

          1. OldBenKenobi
            • 8 Years
            8 years, 9 months ago

Yeah I will just do Tim Carroll in and hope for an assist or even clean sheet. I dont have the luxury of a WC so dont fancy being left with players solely for gw28 and it screwing up my team.

    3. timPgoodwin
      • 11 Years

Same dilemma but I already have Antonio and Andy Carroll, so looking at a mid at 6.0 or under that gives me room to move to 3-4-3

Looking at King, Tom Carroll, Zaha, maybe even Grosicki

Probably GW31 if the DGW is confirmed for GW32. GW36 seems a bit too late to WC and vital points could be gained easily prior to that..but will try to get 15 DGW players to maximize on bench boost for gw37!

Gone from 8k to 120k over the last 6 weeks. Only had 6 starters for the week and had to change someting.

Did Zlatan, Sterling, PvA and Iwobi to Mane, Cout, Llorente and Coleman for a -12.

Lost the plot or worth it? Since I don't have enough starters I consider it more like a -6.

    Will it work?

Mane Firmino Siggy (Sterling) (De Roon)

    Lukaku Llorente (Aguero)

    Cheers guys!
