The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

A few weeks back, over 2200 registered and now we are down to the last 16 of the Paddy Power Cup V. They’ve come through seven stages and are two victories away from playing for a prize. The draw for the next round has been and looks a lot like this…

1RaasclartVs.Mr Bungle
2mendersVs.CSKA AWFUL
3NattVs.Declan
4Der-Hammer95Vs.Sc8tt26
5soulman27Vs.runty
6ChickenDevilVs.Timmy Loving
7VereWinnerVs.sleepingmaster
8Bruce BaerVs.Funkyav

Top-seed, and 181st in the world, Der-Hammer95 has a tough assignment against 1,241st overall Sc8tt26. Of course at this stage of the competition there’s no easy games. In fact, there are only two teams with less than 1,000 points.

As luck would have it, those two Fantasy managers yet to hit four-digits have been matched together. 250k in the world VereWinner takes on 127k in the world sleepingmaster.

Last week’s top-scorer, Mr Bungle, once again finds himself as the away team in the first fixture of the round. There’s obviously no disadvantage to coming out of the hat second, and Mr Bungle actually has the effective lead going into his game with Raasclart. The 83 points between them means the ‘visitors’ will go through with a draw.

All ties will be played over the upcoming Gameweek 19, good luck to all!

Please note – with such a short turnaround from Gameweek 19 to Gameweek 20, we’ve made the decision to postpone the Quarter-Finals until Gameweek 21. This will ensure that the draw can be made and published well in advance of any deadline – it will also remove the double gameweek fixtures as a factor and bring the January wildcard into play for the last eight.

Can I get some perspective please. Am I crazy to be considering dropping either Ba or RVP?

Ba gonna get less next two games and potentially off to Africa after that. Money would allow me to upgrade a crap mid to Valencia.

RVP likely to be rested, gone off the boil, likely to get injured soon. Could get the roonpig back and give him the armband this week.

Both would be selling at their likely peak, rather than watching my profit dwindle away, again.

    Crazy or genius?

ridiculous justification of getting RVP, depending on when you bought him. if you got him at 12, losing all that money would be lunacy, being rested for one game is not good enough... he is a long term keeper till injured. And he hasn't even had so much as a niggle this season if memory serves so injury hopefully won't be an issue (knock on wood).

Get rid of ba, won't be able to much at liverpool/united anyway, sturridge is the man especially considering drogbas african adventure will make chelsea rely on him even more

What are all the people with Mata, Silva, Nani, Bale midfields doing for the DGW?

Downgrade one to Drenthe and upgrade a defender?
Nani to Valencia to upgrade a defender?

Really don't know what to do and i guess i've gotta decide tonight because Valencias price is rising.

Thinking of Starting Krul and Evans with Vorm and Enrique (1st sub) on bench as I am sticking with Ba and hate conflict between def and fwds.
    Wrong?

Also Enrique has attacking potential anyway
Double also. Evans wont play at all

I normally try and ignore conflicts with def and fwds, for example I am having 2 spurs attacking facing Vorm. I still have Ba and am benching Enrique as I think Newc will score not cos of confilct of def and fwds.

Evans probably won't play anyway. Enrique plays like he could get a few attacking points (not that he's delivered many yet) even if Ba scores against him.

    How does it look??

Please talk me out of getting rid of Vorm for Foster!!

    Vorm
    Enrique/Baines/MaCauley
    Nani/Bale/Walters/Drenthe
    RVP/Rooney(c)/Sturridge(vc)

    Westwood/Formica/Ward/Naylor

I've looked at getting rid of Vorm with the WC - had some nice home fixtures in the first half but they toughen and I can't see them maintaining their defensive form all season.

For this week though? Definitely keep Vorm.

It's not worth a hit to get rid of a GK who is guaranteed to play (full stop)

If Swansea lose 2-0, Vorm probably still gets 4 points from the saves he'll make.

My opponent is ranked like 1.2 mil, has Torres, Rooney, Nani, Bale, Jones, Silver...and get this; Captains Leroy Lita (yes he started him). and get this he VC'd Joe Hart. For some reason he started Ricardo Gardner of Bolton Wanderers fame. I'm gonna say this is a semi-dead team with only three transfers all season thusfar...

Is anyone of the same opinion as me.... RVP will start vs QPR! Surely they will need to ensure 3 points after dropping 2 against Wolves!?!

Ive got him as my Captain with Nani as my VC but keep seeing comments on here that RVP will be benched. Hope not.

I think it's a game Arsenal can win without RVP - I see him getting a few minutes but nothing substantial - think United will score more in any case, so angling for Nani (c).

Good evening all! So I've already made my two free transfers for this week and would love a second opinion on my squad set up for the week.

    I've done:
    Evans OUT - BAE IN
    Ba OUT - Sturridge IN

    Team looks like:

    G: Krul

    D: Jones - Enrique - BAE

    M: Silva - Nani (vc) - Bale - Drenthe

    F: Sturridge - RVP (c) - Adebayor

    B: Vorm - Jagielka - Gower - Tierney

Do I got my subs right? Think it looks good for the week and will have 5 players playing in the DGW.

Unfortunately I drew a guy only 30 points behind me in the cup this week, go figure.

    Differences:

    Me: Adebayor, larrson, kompany, bae

    Him: welbeck, richards, ramsey, koscielny

I think I got him beat, barring some crazy captain points?

Also he only has .5 in bank so probably won't bring in some big hitter out of the blue... he and I both went RVP (C) and Nani (VC) last week, I'll probably go nani (C) and expect him to do the same...

Hard to say. I think the WBA game could make Mancini field his best XI, on the other hand he may give the "reserves" a chance to prove themselves as the starters failed to deliver last time out...

I meant that their previous game against WBA, where they failed to win, could force Mancini to field his best XI as they can't afford to lose any more points with the form United are in.
