Dugout Discussion – Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

Gameweek 32 concludes at Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace – with victories in four of their last five Premier League matches – look to maintain their recent revival against London rivals Arsenal.

Sam Allardyce’s’ Eagles have kept clean sheets in their last two home outings but a shut-out looks unlikely this evening: they face an Arsenal side who have scored in each of their previous twenty matches in the Premier League, with key Fantasy asset Alexis Sanchez a big factor in that statistic.

The Chilean has notched 12 goals and supplied five assists on the road this season – more than any other player – and is backed by 309,000+ or 7% with the captaincy this evening.

He’s supported by an in-form Theo Walcott, with the FPL midfielder boasting goals in back-to-back Gameweeks as he bids to provide us with a cheaper alternative to Sanchez. Impressively, Walcott has scored 18 goals from his last 23 starts in all competitions.

    Would you King > Zaha (-4) this week or do Son > Zaha for free next week? King plays (tot) while Zaha plays (LEI) so hit may pay off.

          It's the -4 selling one hot player for another. Zaha has done well against two top half opponents lately (Chelsea, Arsenal), but I would not sell someone who scores a goal a game for another who scores well every other game. For DGW34, it would be tempting.

    To save money to get Ibra for DGW34 I need to do one of:

    A) Baines > Holgate
    B) Baines > Barragan
    C) Lanzini > Zaha

    B and C mean an extra transfer later, but I also get an extra DGW player. Already have Valdes.

    Well that was a mad week. I had all of Valencia Walker and Carroll as no shows and put Coutinho last on my bench due to his illness. I finished up with 89(-4) after auto subs. I'll put that down to a lucky week I think.

      It's ok but don't think u need double palace. They play Liverpool and spurs in the double, most likely only get returns vs liverpool imo. Take benteke out for someone origi maybe?

        Thanks - think I would go double Palace for the double but then be looking to get one of them out fairly quickly afterwards. They also have decent fixtures over the next 3 GWs.

        The alternative would be to do something like Defoe out for Benteke this week and use my 2nd FT on a defensive switch...

    Keep seeing people say Zaha has bad fixtures... how is that the case?

    They've just beaten Chelsea and Arsenal. Liverpool defence is atrocious. Leicester with their mind on Champs league and just shipped 4 goals away. Burnley away are Burnley away. Spurs is obviously tricky but as we have just seen, they get right up for London derbies at home. Am I missing something?

      I'm torn as leading my Cash ML and closest chasers have him - he's surviving because of his 2 dgw's later in the season but a line has to be drawn somewhere on these performances.
