Gameweek 36 finally comes to an end this evening as Southampton entertain Arsenal at St Mary’s.

Alexis Sanchez will again be the focus of most managers’ attentions. Sitting in over 27% of FPL squads, the Chilean was the most captained player (11.2%) in the round of fixtures but a blank at home to Man United in his first match of Double Gameweek 36 means he has now netted just once in seven league appearances.

Meanwhile, his team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks to add to a pair of assists in the 2-0 weekend win over Jose Mourinho’s side. The Gunners’ wing-back has been drafted in by over 15,000 FPL managers this week for a Double Gameweek 37 against Stoke and Sunderland.

For the Saints, Manolo Gabbiadini was the fourth most transferred in player ahead of last week’s deadline, with over 108,000 taking the plunge.

Yet a blank against Liverpool took his run to one assist in five, as Claude Puel’s defence racked up the points at Anfield instead thanks to a fourth clean sheet in seven.

Thanks to his spot-kick stop away to Liverpool, the Saints’ Fraser Forster leads the way among the Double Gameweek contingent on 16 points ahead of tonight’s 7.45pm encounter.

    Sanchez and Hazard owners - what are you doing? I am going to keep Sanchez and I am debating getting rid of Hazard - I think he will do well but I also think he will only play 1 game. On the other hand his minutes were managed last match and he only played 70 which could be an indicator he will play both games.

      I'm concerned but I just can't justify to myself this move to directly swap him for KDB. It would be for a minus 4 as well and that seems like madness for a guy with a good fixture on penalties.

        It makes sense if you don't think they will play. Sanchez will definitely play. Hazard is a coin flip if Chelsea win the league next match.

      Keeping both. I think after today I might captain Sanchez though - original plan was Hazard.

      My gut feeling is Hazard will play both games, I think people are going over the top worrying about rotation. I agree he might not start the 2nd game if Chelsea are the champions by then, but I do think he'll feature.

            I know mate. I was just being pedantic. Why would he risk that though when there would be nothing in the league worth running the risk for? If they lose, so what? The title is already theres and a key player is fit for the final.

              Pure guesswork, but I'm thinking Conte would want to play him at Stamford Bridge after they've clinched the title for a victory lap so to speak, and it's more likely to happen in GW37 than GW38 so close to the final.

          Yes, that's exactly the point, I do. Sane and Sterling are the big risks, I think esp. if Aguero gets fit. I suppose Jesus is Pep's golden boy, but otherwise I'd consider him a risk. Was not nearly as impressed as some other folks around here. Thought he was awfully static a lot of the time.

            First proper game back after injury. He was hardly going to be The Flash. He will be better next match. I Kev will play but may be forced deeper. Aguero won't feature IMO

          Good question. I have thought about him. But Montreal seems locked down, just a matter of where he plays. But when Kos comes back, I can see a back three of Kos/Mustafi/Holding with Monreal taking Gibbs spot. Not sure that will happen though.

            Interesting - This is a fear of mine also. Although my opinion is that Holding will drop out - so I'd opt for Monreal for a certainty of starts.

        Gibbs hasn't played most of the season. I think it very likely that he gets dropped rather than Holding and Monreal moves to LWB. . But even then, Gabriel could come in for Holding, who knows. He's been benched after his dreadful game at Spurs but Wenger might give him another chance in one of the games.
