Gameweek 17 will be the last set of Eliteserien fixtures ahead of the league’s summer break. This mean means we can fully focus on Fantasy Premier League before wading back in to Norwegian top flight action next month.
This week Brann, Haugesund and Odd play Europa League qualifiers. Rosenborg played a Champions League qualifier this week, where drew 1-1 withDundalk, so watch out for rotation and injuries. Helland was subbed with an injury during the week and will most likely miss this weekends match against Sogndal.
FANTASY LEAGUE STANDINGS
Colmans Mustard remain top of the Fantasy Football Scout league, but an impressive gameweek score of 80 put Sangomango in second place, just six points behind.
On Giant’s Shoulders has taken the lead in the H2H league.
STOCK CHECK
Rising
Christoffer Remmer (5.4, Molde, defender)
He continues to impress in his wingback role with another assist and a clean sheet away to Aalesund. The Molde man is one of the hottest defenders in the game right now.
Aleksander Megalvis (4.6, Lillestrøm, defender)
Speaking of hot defenders, Megalvis is arguably the hottest of them all right. In his last match he earned a goal and an assist and was unlucky to not earn a second assist and bonus points. He has now scored two goals (including a penalty) and four assists in the last five games as a right midfielder. Scorching.
Vegar Eggen Hedenstad (6.8, Rosenborg, defender)
Rosenborg haven’t improved at the back, but Hedenstad has beefed up his attacking returns with two goals against Sandefjord, as well as an assist in the Champions League qualifiers this week. With Helland ruled out with an injury this is set to hand Hedenstad a greater share of set pieces.
Erling Knudtzon (8.3, Lillestrøm, midfielder)
Knudtzon continues his impressive goal scoring run with another goal and seven fantasy points in his last run out.
Chigozie Udoji (5.8, Lillestrøm, midfielder)
Partnering Knudtzon up front this guy is going under the radar and is arguably a better value pick than Knudtzon. He’s scored nine points in his two last apperances.
Eirik Ulland Andersen (8.3, Strømsgodset, midfielder)
This man doesn’t stop impressing. Picking up another goal and assist last time out puts him among the top midfielders in the game, although he didn’t start the six first games.
Björn Bergmann Sigurdarson (10.1, Molde, forward)
The best player in Eliteserien right now? He’s certainly right up there. Two goals last weeks means he has now scored seven in the last eight.
Ohi Omoujianfo (7.8, Stabæk, forward)
After a goal against Sandefjord, he followed up with another against Brann. He could easily scored more.
Matthias Vilhjalmson (8.5, Rosenborg, forward)
Vilhjalmson continues to reward those who took a punt on him a while back. He notched eight points last time out and he’s scored 38 in his last five games. Although still not nailed in the team, he has surely done enough to guarantee a place in the starting XI.
Falling
Andreas Lie (5.2, Aalesund, goalkeeper)
Lie continues his fall after a zero pointer against Molde and his third yellow card of the season: he’s now suspended for next week.
Thomas Grøgaard (6.1, Odd, defender)
He’s still out injured and unsurprisingly is one of the most sold players this Gameweek.
Samuel Adegbenro (7.3, Viking, midfielder)
A disappointing blank in a great fixture against Sogndal dents his appeal further. He’s now facing Odd away next Gameweek, who barely concede goals. He’s also expected to leave in the summer break, although it isn’t certain yet.
Tonny Brochmann (7.0, Stabæk, midfielder)
Continuing his blank streak, he now has four blanks in a row.
Anders Trondsen (7.5, Sarspborg, midfielder)
The Sarpsborg midfielder is doing very well for Sarpsborg, but with no attacking returns in six games his Fantasy potential looks grim, even though he has picked up four bonus points over that period.
Daniel Braaten (7.2, Brann, midfielder)
The Brann midfielder missed the game against Stabæk with an injury and makes the “falling” list after blanking in the two previous Gameweeks as well.
Mos (8.9, Aalesund, forward)
Another disappointing week for the Aalesund attacker. He has now blanked in five of the last six Gameweeks.
DIFFERENTIALS FOR GAMEWEEK 16
Haris Hajradinovic (7.3, Haugesund, midfielder)
My top differential pick this week. He’s been doing well recently playing behind the striker for Haugesund and has a good fixture against Aalesund at home this week. Keep an eye on Haugesund’s Europa League qualifier tonight for injuries.
Chigozie Udoji (5.8, Lillestrøm, midfielder)
As mentioned above Udoji is a nice differential to Knudtzon. A good home fixture against Stabæk this gameweek.
Christoffer Remmer (5.4, Molde, defender)
The Molde wingback continues to impress and is up against Strømsgodset at home. Strømsgodset had their best half of football against Kristiansund last week, but their away record isn’t good. There could be potential clean sheet and attacking returns for the 3.1% who own him.
