With the elongated Gameweek 20 finally sewn up, it’s time to look ahead to the weekend action. For eight fantasy managers, that means Quarter-Final time in the Paddy Power Cup V. Having battled through eight stages, they are just one win away from the prize-winning games. Here is the line-up…

At the time of writing, first out of the hat Sc8tt26 is the highest-ranked fantasy manager left, and is the only one in the top 1000 overall. If he’s considered the top-seed, then he’s been drawn against the second in Funkyav. Was it not for an abysmal Gameweek 20 score, the tables would be turned and Funkyav would be the man to beat.

Declan faces-off against Raasclart, whilst the last round’s top-scorer, CSKA AWFUL, takes on sleepingmaster. Finally, having reached the Quarters by the skin of his teeth, ChickenDevil comes up against soulman27.

I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing our Quarter-Finalists the best of luck. I’ll bring you the results shortly after the Gameweek has concluded.

    hello again, am on my WC this week – current proposed team is as follows:

    Thoughts pls? – trying a punt on odem as i get the feeling he may do ok in brunt’s absense – if not his price bracket is such that i could switch to Sturrridge – would have 1mm+ in the bank

      with 1 mil in the bank you might want to go for senderos over kelly as he is more nailed on I think and/or get a better gk to rotate with vorm.

      jones and bae are fine for now but in a couple weeks id probably switch them to kompany/richards/verm and someone like shotton/brown

      Haha I thought exactly the same after watching cup yesterday. Think we need to see him start the next few league games to see impact. Also Liverpool have some tricky fixtures after next 3 weeks whereas City's are good for a while.

    Opinions? My main concerns are lack of MUFC cover, and lack of funds to get Ba back..

      united have tough fixtures coming up so shouldnt be too bad. and in a couple weeks you can downgrade bae and use the funds to get ba back in

      Kompany going to miss 2 prem games . Richards is a great choice and cheaper freeing up money to strengthen else where . McClean is a better option then reocoker in midfield as your benchwarmer. Goals assists explosive bonuses hyped up by o Neill do signs gd for plenty more game time. Sounds a bit mad but vorm will concede more in the second half the season especially over next few weeks with fixtures . Sunderlands mignolet worth a punt . I'd go with Sturbridge over the yak due to supply and it's Chelsea and not Blackburn

    Damn the Gerrard penalty last night. Had him in my WC from the day I activated it last week and now added to the fact Silva at the same price maybe injured it looks like Stevie has become less and less of a differential 🙁 ..... hope my mini league don't got the same way as lots on here.
