The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

      Surely Kola is a beast but he is not nailed imo. You should wait and watch. And Dawson is a punt too. Think WBA fixtures are a trap.

    Aguero or Jesus.

    This changes a few things for me. I just can't seem to downgrade to Jesus despite his popularity on the board.

    Kun will still be a major factor and has spot kicks. I think in the beginning especially worth the 1.0

    Thoughts?

      i dont know if jesus is as good as kun but he is cheaper....so i stick with jesus although still think kun will outscore jesus...

    I've started a H@H league that I hope you'd like to join. The league is limited to 19 teams, so each team plays the others twice. Playoffs for the top 4 teams start GW 37, with the finals GW 38.       Must have 3 big forwards? MF is similar to mine, but your Def is a little weak. I'd say try to upgrade Stephens to another 5.5, but will probably be hard. Good squad though.

      Alonso and PVA are two incredibly attacking wingbacks both with great home fixtures.

      I really want Aguero, but Kane seems to be a staple. I just think Aguero can obliterate Brighton even with 30 minutes while Kane tends to start slow. I really like Erikson too and I'd say I prefer a £5.5m Palace asset to a £7m one. I'm obviously worried about Aguero's playtime. I have been on this decision for days.

        I was on Monreal but his lack of attacking threat and Arsenal's frustrating defense has made me remove him. About Stones - I took him last season to start with and he was terrible. Rotation risk as well.

        I like PvA but he plays against Pool GW2. Playable you think? Also, is he even nailed on with Schlupp lurking? I already have Cedric so don't want to end up with 2 non playing defenders to start with.

          Schlupp is deputy.

          PvA is very attacking and will probably end up with 5+ goals and 5+ assists.

          Even though he might not get a CS in GW2, he is more likely than Davies to get attacking returns in that fixture anyways.

        he's going to play, but that doesn't mean points. Spurs too many attacking threats to get assists and 50,000 at St. James' will back at least 1 goal. Then it's Chelsea in GW2. no thanks on Davies

    There's way too much smoke around Spurs now for me to be getting in their players. You've got the Wembley thing, you have fairly difficult first two fixtures, you have the wage/recruitment thing which the players are clearly very unhappy about. They have Dier at RB instead of a proper RB, looks like Rose is going to leave.. Anyone feel the same way?
