The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

      If you play with 3 at the back then A. Or Danilo instead of Kompany and a 4.5. You have a lot of options and your defence is pretty good.

    Can someone explain what is up with all the Iwobi love around these parts recently? I love him as a player and good chance he'll start the first game -but will likely be benched foin GW2 when Ozil is back in the lineup.

      two 4m defenders not a good idea IMHO. If one of your defender doesn't start you wont get a player in for him since you need to play 3 defenders. I would downgrade Atsu to a 4,5 and upgrade one of the defenders.

      Otherwise it looks good.

      I like the Ake/Zaha combination, both are on my team. I think there are better 6.5 like Walker, Moses, Cahill or even Kolasinac at 6.0. Don't fantasy any United defender except maybe Jones if he keeps his place. Safer and better route to United clean sheets is on De Gea I guess.
