The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

      Nice. Not sure Hegazi will start, or for how many games he will feature. Mounie?? I'm split between him and Rodriguez. Huddersfield have been so poor in attack he could be good or an absolute car crash. Rods is proven at prem level but probably playing behind Rondon. I've gone with Rods at the moment.

        Yeah Hegazi is a bit of a punt in my opinion too, but WBA fixtures look decent and think if he starts he may keep his place. Also he could be easily swapped for another £4.5m defender once some of the other options fixtures improve. Mounie also a gamble but I can't see WBA scoring many and as you said JRod will probably end up playing a deeper roll. Again Mounie gives an option to swap to JRod or Tammy if they hit they ground running.

        Yeah a bit of a punt, but not many options for a third striker in that price bracket in my opinion. Fixtures look half decent hoping he carries on his form from pre season.

    Been happy with my team a while but now I'm really starting to think that maybe I need to double on Man City attack.

    I fear they may come out of the blocks fast and I expect them to score the most goals this season as well as win the title.

    I just really don't want to lose any of my strikers: Kane, Lukaku & Firmino. But other than KDB who I already have, their midfield doesn't have much to offer.
