League leaders Manchester City travel to the DW Stadium tonight, looking to put breathing space between themselves and their city rivals. The Dugout Discussion chatroom opens in anticipation of the conclusion of Gameweek 21.

Both team sheets have been handed in, and here is how they line-up on this horribly cold Monday night…

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Stam, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, McArthur, McCarthy, Gomez, Crusat, Rodallega, Moses.

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Savic, Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Barry, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko.

Roberto Martinez continues with Albert Crusat, who manages to shake off a slight back injury to start tonight. James McArthur begins for only the third time in the league this season, replacing Mohamed Diame who is unavailable thanks to the African Cup of Nations.

Manchester City are forced to partner Jolean Lescott and Stefan Savic at centre-back once more, despite a very ropey performance in their defeat to United last weekend. Elsewhere, David Silva is restored to the starting line-up, Sergio Aguero partners Edin Dzeko up front, and Pablo Zabaleta replaces Micah Richards.

Follow all the action in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

Team at the moment for GW22 (BANK = 0.4m & 2 Free Transfers)

    Hennessey
    Simpson Enrique Jones
    Silva Bale Nani Drenthe
    RVP Sturridge Adebayor
    subs - Vorm, B.Johnson, McAuley, Assou-Ekotto

Like any of these potential moves?

    1. Jones & Drenthe > O'Shea & Larsson/Sessegnon
    2. Drenthe & Adebayor > Dempsey & Crouch
    3. Drenthe & Adebayor > McClean & Crouch (would give me cash to upgrade Crouch for GW23)
    4. Jones & Adebayor > O'Shea & 11.1m FOR (Aguero, Torres, Bent, Crouch)

What ya reckon? Any appeal or back to the drawing board?

I'm doing 4, except I don't have more than 4.2 to spend if I get Aguero (which is the plan) so will have to settle for Kelly I think

I think i really need to get a defender so 1 or 4 is looking most likely at the moment. Of course i could take a 4 point hit and look at shipping out Jones, Drenthe and Adebayor or even Nani.

I would go for 4 then. Question is who do you bring in. If you don't own Sturridge I would be tempted to go with Torres..he could explode against Norwich

Yeah Sturridge is a big problem when looking at Torres. Cheers for the help though mate, it might have to be Aguero. At least i can stop watching Citeh matches from behind the sofa then!

You have Sturridge already, that's fixed. You should just buy the player you think will score more points! Be it Torres or Aguero...

That doesn't change the fact that if Norwich over perform or Chelsea struggle (for whatever reason) on the day i may as well only have 1 striker. I know what you are getting at and i'm sure logically you're probably right but it just doesn't sit well with me

We (Chelsea, know you're a fan as well) haven't actually showed signs that justifies doubling up on attacking cover.. It could easily turn around against Norwich, but I don't see us putting more than 2 past them tbh. Reckon it will be a physical, hard-fought affair without much finesse to it.

I actually do expect there to be goals in the Norwich game, but fully agree that there haven't many signs pointing towards us scoring many goals.

This is informed guesswork but do you think 2 goals or more for Torres to break his dry spell is plausible? The fixture is right, the real life form getting there, but the result?

As you can see I'm thinking of the captaincy for an edgam.

You reckon Sturridge AND Torres might be pushing it a bit? I'm not particularly against it as Norwich are very weak at the back but if for some reason it's not Chelsea's day then i'm pretty much fooked!

Sorry I didn't see Sturridge. That might be a few too many eggs in one rather flimsy basket alright.

For a 2 week punt Zamora might not be a bad choice either. The safe option is probably Aguero.

    FPL has two seasons.
The wet season - Lots of goals. Attacking points dominate. Big GW scores from big name players. Player choices predictable. Belief that wet season will continue forever.
Dry season - few goals. Defensive points dominate. Low GW scores all round, with small name players punching above their weight. Player choices unpredictable. Belief dry season is always about to end.

Call me nuts but I've been watching Torres all season and regard his lack of goals as an implausibility about to be rectified - him and Sess is the ideal but won't financially work. Not very patriotic but Welbeck might kill us.

I actually just tried to get Torres in there instead of Studge before reading this, but it would mean a mid of only 5.4m or less for Ramsey's replacement, and there's not much there for a 2 week punt.

I already have 3 MUN so Studge and Sess looking likely to re-enter my team....

    hi all

im considering benching adebayor (to have for wigan) and im wildcarding in gw24, so would mean playing the in form dyer for this week at sunderland in a 5 man mid

    planning to sell jones instead

which would you get in and why?

    a)Huth
    b)GJ
    c)Skrtl
    d)Cahill
    e) Clark (villa mid)

at present im thinking huth or skrtl, i may even go crazy and captain huth if i get him

preferably would want for 2 gws though (and huth would have utd next) pre wildcard

    cheers

Oh tell me about it; shifted him for Hibbert two weeks ago thinking he'd lost his place. We all know how that turned out! To rub it in further my closest rival had him subbed in because Richards didn't play!

I'd take Murphy over Walters. Or go Sess and Dyer/Moses/Allen/Sigurdsson; not entirely convinced by McClean, I think Sess is worth the extra money. Simps -> Williamson/Santon if you need 0.2m extra. Cahill -> Senderos if it turns out he's not nailed on.

On a roll and don't want it to stop, this weekend looks like a veritable mine field as predictions go, I am going to stick with my team (linked) and save the transfer to have two frees for the early kick offs in GW23, most people agreed earlier on, any input?
