The EA Sports Player Performance index is now available and the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) have awarded the bonus points for Gameweek 22 accordingly. Here’s our match-by-match breakdown of how they are shared out…

    Well, after my WC I had second worse result - I have been afraid that I ruined it all with WC and wanted to give up.

    But now I had quite a nice score.... and I am still climbing up and I have a motivation to continue.

      Got none of them and won't get any either unless Valencia keeps it up for one or two more games. Fixtures are not good and United are not at the top of their game. Still, he's pretty likely to do well so if you buy him I think it will be decent.

        I don't think it's worth getting Valencia in with that team. If you really want him you'll need to chuck either Enrique or Sturridge or both and upgrade Ireland. Selling the other four makes no sense.

      Decent team, I like the Sess/Barfa rotation idea too.

      Sorensen is a worry though and so is doubling on Stoke defs. Lindy could be good value and Kelly as an alternative to Shotton?

      Maybe Welbeck as another striker option? Not too keen on Fletcher myself.

          Sorry yeah didn't notice Senderos. Maybe Lindy instead of Sor to avoid the Stoke doubling, avoids the risk of Sor being dropped too.

          Up front is tricky. Helguson has great fixtures and should be nailed on as long as QPR don't buy a striker. Thats a bif if though. Sturridge is fine I think unless Chelsea buy a right sided forward, then you have to worry. Would rather have Welbeck or Zamora in my team than Fletcher.

          I'm also looking at Danny boy, as long as he remains first choice, which he is right now, and is playing to well not stay there, he's great value. atm I will have Evans, Welbeck and Tony V in a wc team, I may put Clint in after GW24 for either Tony or Bale (but for Tony V I'd have to lose the Verminator unless i go with Schwarzer/Sorensen rotation rather than getting Cech and Bogdan

              I also can't decide whether to rotate keepers or just by Cech or Hart (rotation is by far the cheaper option, saves about 1.5 million, but may be more risky)

                Dont get Hart, he just isnt worth more than Richards or Kompany.

                Cech however does offer quite a bit of value above his defenders except possibly Cahill.

                    Cech against Norwich apart, keepers don't generally score bonus. Keep cost under 9.0, if at all possible.

    so I see Cech got another BAP, were it not for his United fixture in GW25 I'd contemplate getting him and Bogdan and just playing Cech every week. Chelsea have some nice fixtures after United, and with Essien on the way back their defensive record could improve massively.

    Hey, what do you reckon about bringing in the Boss as part of the defence? Chelsea fixtures are not that bad and they seem to rotate well as part of a ManUn, ManC, New defence line. Just noticed that last time the Boss scored well (the first three GWs) his price rose to 6.3. At a price tag at 5.5 and two decent GWs, surely he should be someone to keep an eye on.

      Price rises were skewed at the beginning because of all the wildcarding. Also can't see Bos getting a run of 3 games with Ivanovic fit and Cahill in.

        Looking in the past fixtures, the Boss was in the 1st XI in 16 out of the 20 possible games he could have played (taking off the 2 games he was suspended), so it seems unlikely that he will be put on the bench just because Ivanovic/Cahil. Considering that Chelsea are still in the CL this is when Bos becomes a rotation risk. Would AVB pick him up in CL or Prem games ahead of Ivanovic/Cahill?

      If I had him I'd keep him until he went off form to be honest. He's a great player on form. His finish was just sublime, what a goal.

      He's playing as striker, so I'm happy with him playing in away games, but dependent on the rest of my team. He's my 5th midfielder anyway.

    Just wanna throw a bit of perspective out their for the knee-jerkers:

    - Walters: Yes he missed a penalty but players do from time to time, hes still got an impressive home ppg and Stoke have some sexy home fixtures coming up.

    - Newcastle & Liverpool defences: Both obviously took a battering this week but they arent suddenly useless after 1 game. They are 2 of the best defences in the league. I would not be at all surprised if they both got clean sheets next week, i bet it happens more than you think when a team gets a battering.

    - Villa (in particular Keane): Do you remember when Villa won at Chelsea then people started going mad for Villa players, what happened the week after? They lost at home and failed to score against a team who hadnt won away all season.

    - Sturridge: So he was out for 2 games, comes back and doesnt score now hes not worth having? 9 goals, 3 assists, 14 baps. 7.5m for a striker in a top 6(?) side who regular.

    Thats all i can think of for now. Im not trying to affect anyones decisions on players and teams etc. just merely trying to add to the other side of the arguements and as i say, bring perspective! 🙂

        I think if you have a defender, keep them for the Wolves game, our away record is generally still good. After that i might get rid of Skrtel, as i say im not saying what right or wrong, just my thoughts.

      Disagree about Villa, I think they're playing quite well now, 2 wins and 2 draws is quite decent for them. They get their chances! Still not sure about Keane yet though.

        Honestly i would quite like a punt on Bent but Villa are just a bit too negative under McLeish for me and they can keep clean sheets, cant see where the value is personally.

      Villa didn't actually play that bad against Swansea. They lost because of 2 individual mistakes. It was one of those games where any other day it would have been a clear win for VIlla.

      Agree with all of that except Walters. His stats are terrible and he's been overperforming ppg-wise all season, he's due a return to mean. Plus there are lots of good alternatives.

        Yeah I agree I said on here last week that in his previous 10 games he only had 3 shots on target (1 a pen) so unless Stoke keep winning penalties his points will suffer.

      Disagree on Walters. Yes he's got good fixtures and an impressive home record, but he can't do anything away, and there's a risk of him being off penalties now, after missing 2. His home PPG is all down to the penalties he's had, and i can't just be relying on that with him. All Walters has in his repertoire is pens. I've sold for Sess who has outscored him this season without the aid of penalties, and he can do it home and away.

      Pretty much agree with the rest. Although i don't think Sturridge is a nailed on starter anymore.

        I know Walters is a penalty machine and cant do it away but id say in some ways its similar to Adam last season, i know he got a few assists too but his point were mainly down to Pens. If you can get someone to rotate with Walters then its not too bad. If he is off pens then i will most certainly get rid but until then i think hes a decent option. Id possibly look to do the same if i didnt have McClean but im not sure i would like to double up and it would cause some benching issues (again)

        What makes you think Strurridge isnt a starter now? He obviously wasnt quite ready the game before last but came straight back in the side last week even tho they won and he can actually score goals.

          Just purely based on the fact that they won their last 2 games without him in the side. He comes back and they can't score against Norwich. He'll still start alot but isn't as nailed on as say Mata for example.

      It's not really Sturridge who's the problem the whole Chelsea team looks lethargic and lacking any creativity, added to the fact they couldn't score against a side who had failed to keep a CS in their previous 21 games.

      I have Walters, Taylor, Krul, Sturridge. Still gonna watch Keane next week see how he gets on, he has a tendency to not work very hard for the ball and relies alot of the mid to feed him, this certainly what he does when playing for Ireland. Remind me a bit of Hesky without the donkeyness.

      Definitely play McClean and bench Simpson. Then it's a matter if you mind having two players in the Wolves/Pool game, could go for Sturridge and then choose whether to back Fletch or Enrique against each other.
