As we all know too well, the world of Fantasy football can be a fickle one. Within the space of a Gameweek or two, a must-have acquisition can quickly become dispensable in our quest for the latest man in form.

But patience, as our mothers dutifully instilled in us, is a virtue. And over the course of a long and tumultuous season, it could well be rewarded.

Arguably, nowhere is this erratic ownership cycle more prominent than in the recent case of David Silva.

The Manchester City playmaker, whose ownership ballooned from 160,000 to almost 1.5 million over the course of the first nine Gameweeks, has since found himself shunned. Almost 100,000 owners have parted company as of last weekend, earning him the ignominy of being the week’s most-sold player in Fantasy Premier League.

The appeal of Silva, in theory at least, is twofold.

The reliability of his pitch-time (he has started every Premier League match, playing 870 of a potential 900 minutes to date) has combined with the consistency of his point returns (attacking points in 50% of his matches, including two double-figure hauls) and a fondness for bonus points (an average of 15 baseline BPS per week).

Are managers right to jettison Silva at this juncture? Or is the case of an itchy trigger finger leading us down a dangerous path?

This week’s Technical Area will dive into Silva’s recent performances in order to determine the appropriate strategy for his still-numerous manager base moving forward.

It's what Nigel Farage proposed after brexit.

Remember he wanted closer ties with commonwealth countries instead of EU?

Basically like an EU with Canada Australia New Zealand and the UK.

So in other words, he wanted to just limit it to the white English speaking commonwealth countries

That included USA who would be too big for the rest to matter much.

What are the chances that Davies fills in at centerback with Alderweireld out? Dier could also play there, and this assumes that spurs will play with 3 at the back which is not guaranteed

Bavies could play LCB with Jan shifting to CB and Sanchez RCB..... but I think Dier will drop into CB and Dembele/Sissoko play midfield with Winks

When Alder got injured Dier dropped back (Rose and Aurier were on the bench could have brought them on and shifted Davis) Seems he prefers Dier to Davis.

Depends how the run in to Christmas goes. If he beats Utd at the weekend a lot will be forgotten, and our fixtures get a lot better. I think he will be here at the end of the season but a bad performance on Sunday will pile a lot of pressure on him. We will see.

Just feel Kiko vs a disjointed Everton & Mee in a solid Burnley defence are better options of a CS over Otamendi, although I will admit he's probably the last likely to score from all 3.

Morning gents, thoughts on the next move? Should i WC in gw12 as initially planned?

    Forster** -- Elliot
Wimmer Bertrand** Valencia -- Kola** Mee
Ritchie** Sterling Salah Sanchez -- Carroll
    Joselu** Jesus Firmino

    - If i WC in gw12, i would probably get rid of ** players (so atleast 5 players)..worth WCing or hold it for longer?

    A: Sanchez + Jesus >> Alli + Kane (-4)...any benefit of WC-ing then?
B: Sanchez >> Alli...will bring in Kane on gw12 WC
C: Kola >> Vertonghen (and bench valencia)..will bring kane on WC

They don't update it much, only when they can post an article to explain their decisions, which in my opinion is a mistake - they should definitely update it more often, even if it means partially abandoning the explanatory article.
