With an international break looming, our our partner game Yahoo are going out with a bang with another big weekend contest.

They are offering a bumper Premier League £5k Saturday contest for the upcoming Gameweek. This consists of the five Saturday matches that take place from 3pm onwards, ending with the 5.30 pm clash between West Ham United and Liverpool at the London Stadium.

It is guaranteed to run, costs £5 to enter and is a multi-entry game, which means you can select up to 10 teams. The top 230 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £10, with £500 going to the first place.

Our featured XI below will therefore focus on this contest, which is the
biggest payout on offer in Gameweek 11.

Driven by Opta data, the Yahoo game has a scoring system is an ideal offering for members of our community on the lookout for a Daily Fantasy Sports game.

New players can sign up and claim a free £50 in credit to your account when you deposit just £5. Promo code: Fantasy50.

Also, be sure to check out our Strategy Guide before picking your starting lineup, as this gives you a better idea of the mechanics of the Yahoo game and those players in line to benefit.

FFS Strongest XI

Lukasz Fabianski – £15
Virgil van Dijk – £14
Florian Lejeune – £13
Christopher Schindler – £13
Matt Ritchie – £21
Pascal Gross – £21
Aaron Mooy – £20
Grzegorz Krychowiak – £13
Mohamed Salah – £27
Tammy Abraham – £21
Daniel Sturridge – £20

Swansea’s Lukasz Fabianski offers the security of save points at home to Brighton. The Polish international has made more stops (41) than any other keeper and faces an attack that has mainly struggled on their travels – prior to their win at West Ham in Gameweek 9, the Seagulls had scored once in four road trips. This could boost Fabianski’s potential, bearing in mind that that keepers earn double the number of points as defenders for a clean sheet, as well as points for wins or draws.

Virgil van Dijk could find profit at both ends as Southampton welcome Burnley to St Mary’s. Since returning to the starting XI in Gameweek 7, he’s produced more interceptions and blocks (both nine) than any team-mate. The Dutchman has also produced four efforts in the box and is the leading defender for successful aerial duels (27) over that period – that could be vital against a Clarets outfit that’s conceded more set-piece attempts away from home (28) than any other side.

We turn to Newcastle centre-half Florian Lejeune for the visit of a Bournemouth outfit that has failed to find the net in three of their last four league fixtures. Since being handed a first start of the season in Gameweek 8, the Frenchman has produced at least double the number of interceptions (six) than any team-mate. Lejeune has also managed three efforts inside the box across the Magpies’ last three – second only to Christian Atsu’s six.

The defensive contribution of Christopher Schindler looks key to keeping out West Bromwich Albion. The Huddersfield centre-half has produced more interceptions (25) and blocks (nine) than any team-mate and sits second for successful tackles (32). He’s up against a Baggies attack that are inside the bottom three for both shots in the box (17) and efforts on target (nine) away from home.

Brighton’s Pascal Gross has been one of the most consistent Fantasy performers of the season ahead of a trip to Swansea. The German has claimed attacking returns in five of the last seven Gameweeks and places joint-fifth for chances created (23) along with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Christian Eriksen. Gross’ delivery from wide is also favoured by the Yahoo scoring system – he is ranked sixth for crosses (64) overall, rising to third when it comes to successful crosses (19).

Newcastle playmaker Matt Ritchie has claimed four of his five assists at home this season ahead of Bournemouth’s visit to St James’ Park. The Scotland international offers strong all-round potential in the Yahoo game against a Cherries side that has yet to keep a clean sheet away from home. Ritchie is the Magpies’ top-ranked player for crosses (71) and successful crosses (17), while he sits second for shots (19) and interceptions (12).

Aaron Mooy looks similarly crucial as Huddersfield welcome West Brom to the John Smith’s Stadium. The Australian international has scored both his goals at home this season, netting against Newcastle and, of course, in the 2-1 win over Man United in Gameweek 9. The Terries’ set-piece specialist is their top player for crosses (62), successful crosses (11), chances created (16) and successful tackles (35).

West Brom’s loan signing from PSG, Grzegorz Krychowiak, looks a bargain pick in midfield. Since being handed a first league start in Gameweek 4, he’s their leading candidate for successful tackles (18) and interceptions (23), while he’s also been fouled more times (16) than any team-mate. Krychowiak’s presence in the final third has also seen him chipping in with two assists in seven appearances ahead of the trip to Huddersfield.

Mohamed Salah is one of two Liverpool attackers in our line-up as the Merseysiders visit a West Ham side that’s conceded at least twice in four of their last six matches in all competitions. Placed third for shots inside the box (29) this season, the Egyptian is joint-top with Harry Kane for efforts on target (21) and has scored in three of his five away appearances.

Swansea’s Tammy Abraham completes our line-up for the visit of Brighton. The on-loan frontman has played a part in 71% of his side’s goals when on the pitch and has struck three times in as many matches at the Liberty Stadium. Up against a defence that’s conceded twice in three of their five away trips, Abraham has the form to steer the Swans to a much-needed victory.

Salah’s team-mate Daniel Sturridge also earns a rare call-up. He started and scored against Huddersfield last week and followed that up with a midweek goal against Maribor off the bench. With Philippe Coutinho ruled out, Sturridge can profit against a porous West Ham defence that could be severely hampered by injury and suspension.

As Yahoo allows late swaps up until each kick-off, our listed line-up could be subject to change.

This Week’s Contests

The Saturday 3pm slot, covering the five matches from that time onwards, offers Yahoo managers two of the three biggest prize contests of the weekend.

Both are guaranteed to run.

As discussed earlier in the article, the Premier League £5k Saturday contest has the largest pay-out.

There’s also the Premier League £2k Saturday contest, which costs £10 to enter and has a minimum win-back of £20 to the top 60 Yahoo managers. You can submit up to two teams for this contest and the winner earns £200.

And there is also a big-money offering to consider the following day, courtesy of the Premier League £2.5k Sunday contest.

Covering the three matches from 2.15pm onwards, this costs £5 to enter,
with the top 125 Yahoo managers sharing the prize pool. First place earns you £250, with a minimum win-back of £10.

Yahoo are also running a Premier League £1,000,000 Perfect Lineup Cup, which takes place over Gameweek 1-19.

It’s free to enter, with £500 in prizes and £50 for the best team every week. Over the 19 Gameweeks, there’s £40k in prizes on offer, with £30k shared among the top 5,000 and £10k going to the winner.

The Yahoo Cup also has a “£1,000,000 challenge”, which gives away £1m to any user who selects the perfect line-up in any given Gameweek to score the maximum possible points.

You can open an account and get started immediately.

If you register and deposit £5 or more, Yahoo will also give you a £50 bonus to be used as cash to enter paid contests.

Register here to claim the bonus.

You must be over 18 years of age, resident in the UK, and of legal capacity to register with Yahoo Daily Sports and open an Account. If you sign up, please always play responsibly.

Thinking of this WC team for GW12. Any issues? Sorry RP, bottomed a few pages ago.

    DDG
    Jones, Stones, Daniels, Moreno
    Eriksen, Sterling, Salah, Richarlison
    Kane, Lukaku

    (Elliot, RLC, Mee, Ngoy)

    Questions:
    A) Eriksen or Alli?
    B) Salah or Coutinho?
    C) Is Sterling too much of a rotation headache to have in a WC?
    D) Stones+Lukaku or Azpi+Morata?

A Ali , money in the bank and improving

A If Alli keeps up his RM-form against CPA him
      B Def. Salah
C I'm Keeping sterling on WC, his minutes > points have been amazing. IRL that's handy as well so Pep will play him and CL Last 16 already in the pocket.
D Stones+Lukaku, let's hope Pogba gets back not too long after IB

I've sold him for Sané so I'm almost expecting Silva to haul!

My thinking is that De Bruyne and Silva will help Fernandinho out a little more and play deeper. City will rely on the pace of Sané and Sterling on the break... maybe playing back to front a little quicker.

I sincerely hope that Sane and Jesus gets benched this week and that Pep will play Aguero Sterling and Bernado silva.. (none Jesus and Sane owner)

But I would expect him to play Sterling, Jesus and Aguero given Sanes minutes recently.. they can always bring him on for a late cameo.. benching Jesus twice in a row seems harsh and so does benching Aguero given he didnt play the last PL match and only played 75 min midweek.. So its.between Sterling and Sane this week I suppose?

What is your prediction on the front three?

Why would Sané be rested against a rival?? He's on fire and is just 21.

No room for sentiment in making sure everyone has an equal number of minutes. Pep will pick the team to beat Arsenal.

No, he is just moaning at his board about too thin a squad, same as he been doing all season.
