Gameweek 13 gets underway at the London Stadium as West Ham entertain Leicester in David Moyes’ first home match in charge.

The Hammers’ recent home form underlines the work at hand for their new manager – over the last two in front of their own supporters, they’ve scored one goal and conceded seven.

With that in mind, it’s little wonder that – outwith the injured Chicharito (9%) – every West Ham outfield player sits in less than 2% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) squads.

We’ll be keeping an eye on our Spot the Differential candidate Manuel Lanzini, who scored in the corresponding fixture last season and also netted in the Hammers’ previous home match, against Liverpool in Gameweek 11.

While the hosts fell to defeat at Watford in Moyes’ first match in charge, their visitors have found decent form under new manager Claude Puel.

Aside from last week’s 2-0 loss to league leaders Man City, the Foxes picked up four points in the Frenchman’s first two in charge, scoring twice on both occasions.

Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy found the net in the 3-2 win away to the Hammers last term and both remain the men most likely to punish Moyes’ side.

Sitting in 4% of squads, Mahrez is certainly the form option tonight – he’d bagged two goals and three assists in four prior to last week’s clash with City.

Vardy has frustrated his 13% backers with a single goal in six, yet with the fixtures turning in Leicester’s favour once their midweek clash with Spurs passes, he could yet re-emerge as a third forward option over the festive spell.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Early thoughts here. Currently on this

    Pope (bou)
Ota (SOU) Daniels (BUR) Clark (wba)
    RLC (bri) Rich (MNU)

Bench Elliot (wba) Duffy (CPL) Ward (bou)

    Play Pope or Elliot
    and then..
RLC vs Duffy and Daniels vs Ward

Don't think Newcastle can keep West Brom out?
And Palace have been getting on the score sheet lately which makes Duffy not so appealing. Lofty is gonna get a goal soon I feel

          Maybe they can

I feel Burnley has better defense as compared to Newcastle

Oh sorry misread that. Ya Ward over Clark potentially. Just feel like spreading the risk with Pope in goal and Bournemouth are coming into form. Maybe Lascelles will be back by then anyway, Clark may get dropped regardless and make my decision for me

Alonso or Azpi. Who is less likely to get rotated?

I still favour him over Azpi personally

I've my eyes on DLC and Niasse when he's back. Defence is good so happy to be able to rotate 343 442 352. Wilson is a tad expensive for this plan. Peter Crouch is another one I'm watching. At 6m though, there's slim pickings

Tough one. See how they do today. Double Burnley defence is a transfer waiting to happen though. Interesting to see how City are defensively with Mangala and Ota holding the line, they may be leaky

Going B would mean i will have 2 players from liv,che and mci.I like to balance out coverage

However A means 3 che, 1 from city and 1 from liv.

Saying that Hazard is in such great form and us hard to ignore

        1. Pep says
          • 10 Years

I don't count defence as a double up to be,maybe thats just me. You're getting the defender for clean sheets.
So I consider it a choice of double Chelsea or double Pool.

I have Haz at the minute. Morata coming in for Swansea. Over the next 4 weeks or so I'll decide whether Hazard is worth owning and if not he'll be out for Coutinho or Pogba but having Hazard is nice because I can swap to anyone for 1 transfer

With imminent rotation, especially City players; it is a must to have a solid bench.
Who are you guys going with?
    Normally i would have a throw away defender and a 4.5 mid/forward.
The gameweeks coming up I will have:
Gross in place of a cheapie.
Mee and Gomez as back up.
I thought about Cork but I prefer Pope and Mee.

Unfortunately not. Although if Haz emerges as reliable & Lukaku starts scoring again while Kane keeps blanking, then yes.

                  Bit harsh.

I listen to 3 podcasts, this, who got the assist and the FPLMag podcast whenever they decide to record.

Scoutcast is definetly the most entertaining and goes into most detail about strategy.

I value all their opinions but at the end of the day, I usually have my mind made up about what direction I'm headed in with my team. Nice to here other points of view too whether they're relevant to me or not.

4-5-1 with two of Niasse/Wilson/Murray as second & third strikers allows for a great 11. You can have a midfield of Salah, Haz, Sané, Pogba, Richarlison, one of Kaku/Kane/Morata up front for captaincy, and still have Alonso/Azpi, Ota/Kola alongside a few cheaper defs.

    1. Holmes
      • 12 Years

i tried that last year for 5-6 weeks and it was fun, feels like it has high potential, allows many premium players.

Only issue is switching formation if and when required

It's a good point. There's a real inferiority mentality going on with that top order. Weak. England won't be anywhere near top test teams for a while.

This Aussie team can be had in my opinion. It just needs a player that is willing to concentrate and bat through day 4. It's a tough ask with this group because they just don't have that Smith mentality player. It had to be Cook to do it but his eyes light up and he wanted points when there should've been consolidation.

Sorry for the slight rant but I'd also like England to win this series but I just get frustrated with Cook.

Kun + Choupo + Naughton + Fabianski >>>> Niasse + Hazard + Alonso + Speroni for -8. That would give me this team:

    Elliot Speroni
    Alonso Ota Daniels Ward Hunem
    Salah Sane Hazard Richarlison RLC
    Kane Morata Niasse

    do it?

    1. Demel

Niasse is suspended. Aguero could well be benched today and a huge captain differential on Tuesday. There is a lot of downside here just to get Hazard and an upgraded defender.
