Interesting developments from Italy, where Fabio Capello has used an interview with state broadcaster RAI to put himself on a collision course with the FA over the England captaincy issue:
"I completely disagree with the FA about the John Terry decision, and I have told that to the chairman. I considered and still consider Terry the England captain. I think we first should wait for the trial conclusion"
Seems a strange issue - and person - to pick a fight over, but Capello seems particularly annoyed that the FA went over his head to make the decision.Open Controls
The only reason the FA did it was that Capello refused to do it so they went over his head and did it. The FA has made the right decision. Any decent person would have stepped aside once the charges were brought but after all we are talking about John Terry.
