What would you make of this team for next week:

    Vorm

Looking fine although it helps if you tell us your bench too (or LINK YOUR TEAM)

Not keen on Cahill as a fantasy player as he wont play every game and Chelsea DF is shipping goals left right and centre

Bench is Enrique, Luke Young, Dyer and Mignolet/Ruddy, I actually haven't got Vorm or Kompany in yet, it's something I might do, wondering how to improve my defensive performance next week basically! I hate that I got Cahill in to be fair, I just want to get something out of him if I can. If it looks like he won't start though I'll have to get rid of him quickly.

You get killed on this game if you wait to do your transfers this season. Sure it wasnt the case last year (but stand to be corrected?).

I had exactly the right money to do Morison>Ba but wanted to wait until Ba had played and see how he looked before taking a 4pter (already got Sigs for Walters with my FT). As I am on China time by the time I got back from watching the 2 games (3am ish here) it was too late to fire up the computer and risk the wrath of waking up the missus.

So wake up this morning and Ba has risen so I'm 0.1 away from Morison to Ba. Think my team is looking grand for this week anyway so I'm not too fussed but any suggestions of where I can free up the funds to bring in Ba after the Spurs game?

    My team is:

    Mignolet (Krul)
    Kelly Caulker Richards
    Sigs Bale(vc) Silva Sess Dempsey(c)
    RVP Aguero

    Bench: Morison Simpson Huth
    Bank 2.2m

Obviously Huth looks the obvious candidate to downgrade but I suspect he will have his ban rescinded and be a great differential during his decent run of fixtures. I'm aware Stoke have a lot of games this month but I still fancy a few cleanies and some possible attacking returns from old Huth.

Any suggestions are more than welcome 🙂

Simpson - Santon if you haven't had him since the start. Or you could always go for the other Demba. I think he's only 7 and he looked better than ba yesterday

It does actually but there are a few problems. One is that Ba is only one more rise away from it not working and by the time Newc play Spurs it will probably be out of reach.

Alsdo I'll be taking a 4pt hit to do a Newc>Newc DF switch. But needs must I guess to afford the enigma that is Ba

Would be for an 8pter if I made the move this week. Cant justify an 8pter to be honest.

In all honesty it will end up that I'll get rid of Huth for someone like Evans or Shawx to afford it. But I will do it reluctantly thats for sure. I fancy Huth to do well in the coming GWs

      If Huth price is dropping,

Huth > Evans ( Bench him this week)

And then Morison > Ba after deadline on saturday for a FT as Ba will rise only 0.1 more max this week..

Anybody think Chelsea yesterday were totally marking valencia out of the game ??

Every time he had the ball there were around 3-4 players who would crowd him from all directions for almost around 70-80 mins.. which resulted in 2 fpl points..

But as soon as CFC were under pressure he was left 1 on 1, looked very attacking and his cross to rooney sort of directly resulted in the 3rd goal..

What do you guys think ??

They werent that slow for Valencia to have a poor game..

My primary purpose watching the match was Valencia as hes in my team (:P), So I was keeping a close eye on him.. And every time he had the ball 3-4 CFC players would just run at him, not only stopping his runs but also stopping his forward/sideways passes.. and on the other end Ivanovic was man handling Young not giving him even an inch of space..

When scholes came on and young off united started attacking through the centre and the left.. and Giggs also shifted to the left and was out smarting ivanovic and even evra started making runs so chelsea started focusing on the left leaving Val alone..

If you see the match again you'll see valencia was more threatening towards the end of the match even at the LB position..

This is what I could make out..

    Mignolet/Sorenson
    BAE, Senderos, Caulker (Santon, Shotton)
Ben Arfa*** Dempsey, Valencia, Bale (McClean)
    RVP, Dzeko, Cisse***

Need to transfer out this week with 2FT.

    Would like to know:

    1) Who would you bring in for them?

Unlimited funds, I have quite a lot in the bank from removing Rooney (...) and Torres in the last 2 weeks.

My thoughts for the striker are Aguero (need to get him in for that upcoming BLA, BOL, and I'll transfer Dzeko out next week and bring Ba in) and Zamora (Great fixtures).

Midfielder I'm thinking Taarabt (Fixtures and great game the other day, unlucky) and Siggy.

    2) Mignolet (ARS) or Sorenson (ful)

I'm inclined to go with Mignolet, I have a feeling Arsenal will disappoint. Also,

    3) Is it right to bench McClean after such good form?

    Silva + Santon > Valencia + Dawson

was considering getting in richards/komp for dawson but then i cant afford silva, and city have really juicy fixtures coming up. Also didnt want to get rid of mata, very nice home fixtures in next 3-4 gwks.

    Thoughts?

    Lineup this week would be:
    Vorm
    Caulker- Evans- Senderos
    Silva - Mata - Bale - Dempsey

I like Mata, perhaps even over Silva if he keeps up his form. However, I don't think we're quite at this stage yet.

If you go for that team then you have the option of downgrading 1 of Silva, Mata or Dempsey for someone cheaper and bulking up at the back in a feew weeks.

Yeah, quite good I'd say. The Newcastle lads rotate with Senderos and Caulker (if I remember correctly) and you play Jevans every week.

Ba Aguero RVP is probably the best front 3 at the moment and the strength of your midfield 4 makes up for Reo-Coker.

          I'd say your set.

I'd keep hold of Valencia (he's the one player I dont have that I really want and can't get)

Mata has been a poor fantasy player for his price this year. He probably wont do anything of note for a good few GWs now after last nights returns, so I'd get rid.

But it's very much a judgement call you've gotta make 🙂

Gaff, if Mata can score big vs utd, he can definately score good vs the likes of:
        BOL wba STO??

Its not that hes a poor fantasy player the strikers he was/is providing for couldnt find the finishing touch. If chelsea start bagging goals(like they did today) then that means mata bagging pts!!

He's a great player no doubts in real life. But whatever the reasons may be, he's not worth 9.0+ in the fantasy game. Purely my opinion of course as there are plenty of people who champion him on here.

But to me Chelsea are still a very suspect team with nobody to put their chances away so I'm not too fussed who they are playing. Until they start showing some consistency I wont be buying any of their players. Especially for such a high price.

Also if you can ride out the Pool game (which could still prove fruitful for Toni V) then Utds fixtures ease up considerably.

As a compramise I guess you could do your proposed transfer and then Mata>Toni V after his nice run of fixtures

We obviously disagree! I think Mata will outscore Valencia now for the rest of the season. Whether his points will justify the extra cost I don't know.

as a general rule i dont like the notion of a 4 point hit to bring in two players with road ties, one which i wont start. i like who you are adding, i like who you are dropping, i dont think a hit is necessary. save the tranny and get both next week.

price rise possibility of silva? currently at 68%. Im just saying double toon rotates perfect with the rest of my defence, and i see silva a necessity in the near future, but would like to keep mata in for his good run from GW 26-28 (BOL wba STO)

Sorry acqua I disappeared for 20 mins....

Silva and Santon are definite players to get in and Dawson definitely should go for now. Just not sure about losing Valencia. He's delivered in good and bad fixtures this year and yesterday's 2 was more of a surprise than par for the course. People are worried about the wingers getting some of his points but his great run started while Nani was playing every week on the other flank. Young is in iffy FPL form. I'd keep V if I could.

    Am I stupid?

    My team is:

    Vorm/Sorensen
    Evans J/Caulker/Williamson/Richards/Enrique
    Demsey/Silva/Sess/Bale/Reo-Coker
    Aguero/Ba/RVP

I am thinking of Sess > Mata this week then Reo Coker to McClean next.

I have 4.0 in the bank so I have some options, I just thought some Chelsea coverage would be good and Mata done ok on the weekend...

I predict Mata will outscore Sess over the next 4 weeks but not by much.

McClean looks better value that Reo Coker as well so go for it if there's nothing else you want to change.

I suppose Enrique's fixtures are quite bad but it depends how much you'd lose by selling him and who you'd get in. You can afford to bench him and play Jevans and Richards every week and rotate Calker/Williamson.

The rest of your team are tried and tested FFS favourites, that's why it looks samey. I wouldn't really want to tinker with it just because of that (despite my name!)

Sess > Mata is a nice move in my opinion but I wouldn't dare touch Silva, Dempsey, Bale, RVP, Ba or Aguero.

How about Reo-Coker>Sigs and then use the cash to upgrade in DF at another time?

Sess is one of the most in-form players in the game and is playing upfont some games. Would seem a shame to get rid for Mata who's either very hot or frezzing cold (mostly cold though)

No, he's risen twice already in 2 days, right?

So in theory he can only rise .1m more. I'd be surprise if he rises more than that anyway, most people who got him in did so on WC on Saturday (hence the Saturday night rise) then the knee jerkers yesterday.

Will be interesting to see anyway.

May be Mata > Sess/sigurdsson instead and avoid a hit..

Right now mata is too inconsistent FPL wise.. Only Chelsea player I would have is strurridge..
