The Big Numbers – Gameweek 27

We turn to the Opta numbers next and roll out our usual post-Gameweek members’ article looking at some of the standout players across the previous round of fixtures.

Sergio Aguero, Jamie Vardy and Eden Hazard’s run of goals arrive under analysis, while we also cast an eye over Spurs and Everton’s recent displays in attack.

Meanwhile, cut-price midfielders from Brighton and Watford are finding form as both sides prepare for a run of four home matches in the next six Gameweeks.

Alonso is fixture proof and has shown he can score goals against the top 6. Sellers be wary

When can we expect another fall for Alonso? Or Lingard for that matter?

I agree with this. I'd hardly be scared of the Man U attack. And I don't think they are defensively as great as is widely believed.

Yep. Not doing early transfers before cup games, been burned by that before.

I have a little money itb, so losing a little value will not endanger my planned 2 ft's before next deadline.

Leaving it to last minute-ish, will chill til then.

How many people have dropped Alonzo to make his price go down? He has the most points as a defender, the most points per match except for Bailly. Remember when Salah would not go down after 500,000 people dropped him and the reason was he was injured. Now Alonzo is injured and is owned by 22% and he drops.

Hazard, Niasse, Ramsey and to a lesser extent - Walcott and Wilson- have completely trolled me this season. Not a hope of returns when I have them and as soon as I get them out the score for fun. Get them back the do nothing again.

So I held off of Kane ➡ Kun and the latter done me over big time especially last gw. Very frustrating.

I thought of all this when I was considering bringing Niasse back for Wilson tonight which I didn't do. So no doubt Niasse will score big over the nxt few games.

It’s not just the chance of injury to the player you transfer in to worry about, it’s the other players in your team that may be injured too in FA Cup games or just in training etc.

The thing is all of Kane's remaining fixtures are easy on paper except for the Chelsea and Man City ones. On the other hand, Spurs have a fierce competition to finish in the top 4 unlike Man City who almost guaranteed the title

If you had all chips except TC which order would you be looking at.
    Does this seem ok?

    BGW31 - No Chip. 5-7 players.
    GW32 - Wildcard.
    DGW34 - Bench Boost.
BGW35 - Cross fingers that I have enough.
    DGW37 - Free Hit.

    1. TallestJohn
      • 7 Years
      6 years, 1 month ago

Pretty reasonable, when it comes to wildcarding you might find you can set your team up for both DGWs which would enable you to play FH in 35.

    2. @fpl_phenom
      • 8 Years
      6 years, 1 month ago

I’m hoping that the GW32 wildcard gives me the players for both DGW’s , free hitting in GW35 then my team reverts back to the heavy hitters for the rest of the season.

    3. Hotdogs for Tea
      • 8 Years
      6 years, 1 month ago

      GW34 TC
      GW36WC
      GW37BB

GW32WC kills your BGW35 team, but if you just run your team through from 31 you should have 5 or 6 double game week players and a decent team in BGW35. Run your team through the fixtures and scenarios though to see what it looks like 🙂

WC in 36 and BB in 37 will give you the perfect fit/use of those chips and the maximum points over the last 3 games, rather than watering them down in earlier use without the FH chip

      1. Hotdogs for Tea
        • 8 Years
        6 years, 1 month ago

Forget that, thought you didn’t have FH

      WC GW34
      FH GW35
      BB GW36

What people seem to be overlooking is that many of the teams that look likely to play in GW31 (Liverpool, Watford, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, West Brom) also have decent GW32 and GW33 matches, so it might not be necessary to wildcard right after that BGW.

Depends how you want to play GW31. If using fh on GW35 then start to prepare to GW31. Team looks ok anyway. e.g. Alonso is still winger when he plays.

I think I want to plan for GW31 and use FH35. I'm on top of cash league by small margin and want to be one step ahead of rivals.

Sanchez, Otamendi, Depoitre -> Eriksen, 4.5, Firmino ?

I've looked at this and i can get up to 4.9 for a defender (Mee/Naughton). Having no Firmino has really hurt. I need him.

Good moves but will see how FA Cup pans out.

      Dingo,

I have all chips available too & WC of course.. I'm struggling on finding the best way to use them ALL over the BGWs & DGWs, as there's only 2 of each.

How're you thinking of going around that?
