That’s just enough time to join Jonty, Andy and Az in revisiting the Gameweek 31 scenario and chip strategies that dominate your community questions.

While I’m away, the boys also consider the Gameweek 31 traps to decide whether we’re in danger of being distracted by the mediocrity on offer. The fate of premium-priced defenders is also discussed before they preview Gameweek 28, as I crash back in to make my late contribution.

    Best non-blanking gw31 defs?

    Have Robertson. Ideally under 5mil but am open - have to make the change this week so decent gw 28-30 fixtures would be a bonus also.

      Flip a coin on defenders. most fixtures pretty dull but costs less to insert defenders. I personally want 3 Pool attackers in 31 so I would look for hopeful clean sheets. Fancy Stoke cover but not until GW31

    2. Get 6 players out for 31
    3. Get 7 players out for 31 with a -4

    Currently have ibe, Wilson and Salah.

      Can't you get 7 for free?
      2 Pool + attackers maybe.
      GW31 defenders may all struggle so playing short Isn't too bad.
      Need to commit this week or next If FH Is the plan.

    Thoughts appreciated on my WC team with 2.3itb:
    Ryan (Fabianski)
    B. Davies, VVD, Maguire (Lowton, Francis)
    Salah (c), Eriksen, Mahrez, Walcott, Stanislas
    Kane, Firmino (Niasse)

    I have 7 for gw31 which seems average.
    Any players you don't like. My list is Maguire as isn't Leicester defense a bit iffy. Can score big but I want cs's. Francis plays gw31 but Bou have bad defense. Will change Ryan to a gw31 keeper in gw31. Will want to bring back KDB/Sterling later.
    Just 1 question. Would you play Walcott or Niase. I'm now thinking Niasse will get a few goal scoring opportunities.

    Can you activate a WC the same week as another chip?

    People are talking about activating their WC at GW33, presumably because the 2nd DGW teams will be known then, but does this WC mean between GW32 and GW33? Then BB between GW33 and GW34?

    Or can both be activated between GW33 and GW34?

    Who is untouchable in your squad even through blanks/doubles? Unless injured of course.

    For me Salah and Kane, probably even DDG.
