With the final match of Gameweek 28 not taking place until Thursday, our usual members’ article focuses on the nine fixtures already done and dusted.

Gameweek 31 plays a part in our assessment as the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) transfer market rushes to acquire Liverpool’s in-form Brazilian and Stoke’s playmaker at a time when Bournemouth’s frontman is shown the door.

Meanwhile, we cast an eye over Man United and Brighton’s strikers, while a certain Huddersfield midfielder makes a claim for consideration as a differential.

      Yep. Rafa had Liverpool sussed at St James' ( refuse to call it the Sports Direct Arena). I was at that game. Salah, Mane and Firmino were anonymous.

        Can't decide whether to ditch Sterling or not... Hate decisions like this. My midfield could become:

        Hazard / Salah / Mahrez / Walcott / Shaqiri

        It'll mean no Man City attack for at least 3 GWs.

    This season is crazy for me. Everything that could have gone wrong has. Last season my battle was to finish in the top 1k. Top 10k is usually a realistic aim.

    This season I am not even in the top 1 million!!

        I didn't bring Salah in until the new year. I wildcard to the template to catch up. The template collapsed. Chose against Aguero. Chose against Firminio. Too many to describe. I don't think I have turned into a bad manager. I have just had terrible luck (last season everything fell my way).

    With news of Fantasy Eliteserien back, I decided to check whether Fantasy MLS had opened, and it has: https://fantasy.mlssoccer.com. I played that a few years ago and really enjoyed it, until I get bored and stopped checking my team.

    The format is very similar to FPL, but had the 'manual subs' rule, like Fantasy UCL and the summer international tournaments around. This means you can replace a player who has played badly on Saturday with a player who hasn't played yet.

    BIG DIFFERENCE after reading the rules: this is not the same for captains anymore (i.e. if Salah fails to deliver on Saturday, no worries - just replace his armband with Kane, who is playing on Sunday. that doesn't work).

    I've made a team, wondered whether anyone else in the FFS community is playing? I'm surprised that a Norwegian league is getting more attention than MLS, which I really enjoy following. The manual subs rule puts me off, but I'll try and give it a go, especially if I get off to a good start.
