The first of two Sunday fixtures gets underway at 1.30pm as Brighton and Hove Albion welcome Arsenal to the Amex Stadium.

Chris Hughton’s men arguably merit the tag of favourites today.

Unbeaten in their last four league matches, the Seagulls scored nine times over Gameweek 25-28 – only Man City (12) and Liverpool (11) found the net more often.

Our Spot the Differential pick Glenn Murray notched four of those strikes, while Pascal Gross (one goal, two assists) and Jose Izquierdo (two goals and an assist) have also been crucial to their recent output.

Up against a Gunners’ defence that conceded 16 big chances in that period – at least five more than any side – Murray was drafted in by over 70,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers for Gameweek 29.

Meanwhile, over 39,000 acquired Gross, who has played a part in 53% of the Seagulls’ home goals and goes in search of a fifth double-digit haul in front of his own fans.

But in terms of armband appeal, both Murray (3,465) and Gross (2,144) are well behind the Gunners’ Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang as the most captained player for today’s early encounter. Over 34,000 have opted for the winter signing, who has one goal in three league outings since arriving from Borussia Dortmund.

Elsewhere for the Gunners, it’s disappointment for the 34,000+ who drafted in Aaron Ramsey for this one – having recently returned from injury, the Welshman is rested altogether, with Arsene Wenger perhaps having one eye on the midweek Europa League clash with AC Milan.

Sounds like you did the same as me... I wanted Mahrez but was stuck between ditching Son or Sterling for ages and ditched the latter... even if fit I figured Pep just doesn’t even need to risk him such is the depth at City.

Same here, I bought him though at 7.9 but ... points over value ... had to shift him and Leicester have such great fixtures

Good man. As we discussed during the week, it wasn't a guarantee he'd start but I thought it looked awfully good. Good luck.

You still train as part of rehabilitation. It’s not the same as the intensity of a game though and such is City’s depth, Pep simply doesn’t even need to play him.

    More bench points...

I emailed FPL with the half bench points idea. They thanked me and said they will pass it onto their design team lol. I.e straight to the junk mail

Wow, so they answer mails? Ive complained about the single game week people cheating their way to the weekly prices, got ignored both times.

        Maybe they liked my idea...lol

Thank you for your time writing in and expressing your feedback and ideas.

We really appreciate hearing from keen FPL managers like yourself, and so your e-mail has been forwarded to the design team for review.
