The first of a rapid-fire pair of Double Gameweeks is now finally upon us, and brings with it an opportunity for diligent managers to make up considerable ground upon less-prepared rivals.

The four extra fixtures also offer the opportunity to deploy one of their potentially game-changing chips, with many now stuffing their benches with Double Gameweek assets ahead of a weekend Bench Boost.

With this in mind, this week’s Technical Area is dedicated to identifying the ultimate Gameweek 34 Bench Boost side, as recommended by Fantasy Football Scout’s own Rate My Team (RMT) tool.

In addition, we also sprinkle in some standalone statistical and eye-test observations of recent form for the key assets involved.

    Who is the best defender to get for Mustafi, Max price 5.5? First options that come to mind are Smalling and Christensen but both are rotation risks? Current defence:

    I had about a million spare this week that I couldn't find a use for elsewhere so have gone for DDG and Courtious in goal this week.

    I know it's a transfer down the line or a 'waste' of 1 million but hoping with the history of keepers doing well in DGW's it serves me well!

    Anyone else doing something similar?!

    Two questions guys 🙂

    1) I have BB and Free Hit for context. I have Mustafi and Aubameyang in my team but don't think they'll keep a clean sheet or score many vs Newcastle so wanna sell for Kane and Smalling/someone else with 2 games. However, Arsenal have two games in GW37 and I'll probs want Arsenal players by then. So should I get rid now only cos they've got one game or keep them to plan for GW37?

    2) What's the update with Johann Gud - should I get rid or keep?

        Why? I'd have thought the more Elite players may have noticed there is a better opportunity for BB in 37 and that a FH for 34 maybe has more better options that one in FH35.

        But...there is a template to follow in bb34 so people don't need to think 😉

            I went the other way and it's not paying off at mo but more due to terrible luck which is what it's about . Not keen on following what the herd do on here. It doesn't feel like any achievement. Not saying you have followed anything you're self. We know a lot do though
