The first of a rapid-fire pair of Double Gameweeks is now finally upon us, and brings with it an opportunity for diligent managers to make up considerable ground upon less-prepared rivals.

The four extra fixtures also offer the opportunity to deploy one of their potentially game-changing chips, with many now stuffing their benches with Double Gameweek assets ahead of a weekend Bench Boost.

With this in mind, this week’s Technical Area is dedicated to identifying the ultimate Gameweek 34 Bench Boost side, as recommended by Fantasy Football Scout’s own Rate My Team (RMT) tool.

In addition, we also sprinkle in some standalone statistical and eye-test observations of recent form for the key assets involved.

        "FPL" didn't take the goal off him. It was reviewed by the Premier League and given to Eriksen on the day. Nothing at all to do with FPL.

      I don't understand what the fuss is about the goal points not being awarded after the gameweek when red card minus points are not returned if a card is overturned.

      Plus it's boring now.

    I know this could massively backfire, but seriously considering:

    Salah, Aubameyang, Alonso out

    Sanchez, Kane, Lowton/Long in (-4)

    Gets me an in form Sanchez for his 2 fixtures and avoids Salah's inevitable rotation later on (even if he somehow starts and plays 90 this week). Pretty scared of losing Alonso too but he's so out of form at the minute and could easily see Chelsea conceding both games.

    Thoughts?

      Big gamble, but clear upside. I would consider Auba Alonso out for Kane and Lowton atm, but Sanchez definitely worth the gamble if Salah is rested.

        Thanks - if I'm keeping Salah I will probably keep Alonso too and lose Willian or Gross instead for funds. Tempted with Sanchez though, those fixtures couldn't be better

        Thing with Alonso is every week he has the potential for double figures, which is why he's been stuck in my team for so long. He was great a while ago but realistically I should have ditched him on my GW32 wildcard (probably would have done had Kane been fit then)

          I think for a lot of people he's a fear pick. High ownership and that mythical defender who can absolutely smash up a team. But he's just not worth it off form imo.

                Whether those chances are actually converted is a very fine margin I’d rather see him getting 0/10 chances converted as an in indicator for future returns then scoring 2 /2 chances

          Not really - but have 11 or 12 for 35 and 2FT for 36. So can make a few adjustments.

          The unspoken downside of FH34 is that players like Kane have risen in price so much over the past week or so that a few compromises may need to be made...

      You can have up to 16 teams in your league, including yourself. We recommend 8 as a good number so that there are enough of the top players to go around all the teams.

      I'm pretty worried about Salah's minutes. He did have a muscle injury only last week, top 4 is pretty safe for Liverpool now, and they need hit fully fit to have any chance in the CL. If I was Klopp I'd bench him this week.

    With the Ben Mee injury, I have the following choice. Currently lacking a good captain with no Kane/ or United attack. Ideally want both.

    A) Stick to original plan. Mustafi and Auba to Smalling and Lukaku (Free, No Kane).
    B. Mustafi and Auba to Kane and Long (Free, No United attack).
    C. Mustafi, Auba and Gross to Kane, Long and Lingard (-4)
    D. Mustafi, Son and Auba to Pogba, Long and Kane (-4).

    Seems sensible to ensure both Spurs and Utd attack now for both dgws.
