If I promise to spare you good, bleary-eyed folks an RMT, could you please help with the following?

    1. Can you make subs between matches in the same day, or will the game be locked, in which case you'd need to have subs that play on following days? [for example, a Muslera/El Kaj GK combo wouldn't work in terms of subs if the Uruguayan failed to keep a cleanie?]

    2. Can you create any allowable formation with the in-round subs, or are you restricted to the formation you selected initially?

Soz if these questions seen dumb - played this once before, but it was super-casual!

    Good luck all!

      7 years, 6 months ago

      1. You can't. Only before the first game of the day (or gameweek) starts.

      2. Any as long as you have minimum 3 defenders and minimum 1 forward.

So is everyone just gonna keep changing captain from one day to the other even if they don't have a decent captaincy pick, my two options for first 2 days are Al-Dawsari and Belhanda... would be worried about a red card from unknown players..read somewhere that Al-Dawsari head-butted a ref once..

    1. Reiko

Looks good besides the bench. Belgium have the best CS odds for firts 2 rounds I think. Mane is also a reasonable shout imo. He has 3 good(ish) fixtures, so perhaps your friend isn't planing to WC during the group stage, or Mane is a placeholder for Salah. I have Mitrovic myself.

Mitrovic was one of the first players in my first draft. Have a horrible feeling he's going to do well and he's no longer in my team.

Mane too is great shout. Senegal exceed expectations, he's bound to get goals.

Bench far too weak imo, when you have the option to sub in players daily.

Time zones are causing me a headache.

The Fifa WC game has kick off times in CET. Google says "There is no time difference between Central European Time and United Kingdom" says its 01:45 in both regions.

So why does BBC have the game kicking off at 4PM and on the fantasy site 5PM.

    What am I missing?

      CET = UK time +1

Yeah I thought that, so why is Google lying?!

It's currently BST, google actually says "There is no time difference between British Summer Time and Central European Time".

Not sure that explains the difference in what they're saying though.

Yep, we are most definitely in BST in the UK and apparently that means its same time as CET.

But from experience, mainland Europe is always at least one hour ahead of UK anyway, we put our clocks backwards/forwards same time, so time difference is always the same. Not sure why Google is so wrong here.

It's the FIFA FF website that's wrong, it should say the deadline is 17:00 CEST (Central European Summer Time) not CET
