The Team Statistics area of the Members Area has a wealth of data available to help guide our Fantasy selections and yet, to this point, we’ve somewhat neglected to highlight some of the information found there.

We’re addressing that from now on, with regular Numbers Game articles focusing on the data produced within a Gameweek, with a regular check on the attacking and defensive performance of teams over the previous four Gameweeks.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Valencia to MClean and Dzecko to Kun? Only losing .1 on Valencia so can bring back in later on, probably for Dempsey when fixtures tighten for Fulham,
Just a doubt re Kun/Dzecko though.... I went between them chasing their points early season and got it all wrong. Makes me fear that Aguero will be benched and Dzecko will choose to score 4 again.

kun should be alright.. city cant afford to drop points, neither can they afford to take chances at this stage of the season.

It seems ridiculous to transfer Valencia out when he's only missing one game, especially when after Spurs they play West Brom and Wolves, plus they're one of the few big teams that will play in GW 29

Fair point, but most likely will wildcard in 28/29 anyway and get him back in. Motive for the move is to get Aguero in for the next two in place of Dzeko. Can't afford otherwise.

I.m thinking of doubling on Newcastle defence.

    Bardsley>Raylor. Already have Simpson.

    Would then bench McClean.

    Yes or No please?

I would much rather have R Taylor than Bardsley. But I'd be cautious to bench McClean, he is the man of the moment for Sunderland, and they don't have a particularly difficult match this weekend.

the only issue is Raylors fitness. Is he a deffo starter and is he likely to last 90 mins -v- Bardsley nailed on to start however Odem is dangerous and likely to score hmmmmm DECISION = dont bench McLean!!

2.3 in the bank and 2FT, looking to get Rooney in for w28

    This week: Sess > Sigurdsson
Next week: some transfer + Wellbeck > Rooney

Need to find another 1.2m to make it happen though.
    A) Silva>Ya ya

Someone unsure what to do with Valencia. He's out for at least a GW and the GW he returns is a tough one against Spurs so that's two GWs I could do without. Mata has one great game at home to Bolton followed by a decent game away to Brom. It's tempting to punt on Mata for 2 GWs and bring him back in. Right now I would lose 0.2 on him, but he's already fallen once and is already -30% to the next fall so I may well lose nothing so price might not be an issue.

    There's Yaya too.

It's not a bad transfer at all, presuming you can't/won't get Silva it makes perfect sense to bring in someone who's 3.1 cheaper and made 3 assists in 2 games since returning from ACN, plus with lots of double digit scores.

Sorry I've just realized I already have triple City coverage so actually Yaya isn't an option.

It's more like Valencia vs Mata vs Young vs Siggy/Ox/Walcott (lol)?

I have the same front 8 as you and I am probably just going to bench Valencia as I don't particularly want to bench any of the other 7 this week anyway. Dempsey's away form is not great but QPR's defence is not the best either and it's a local derby.

It is a tricky one though as Mata could rack up a big score this week, not so sure next week away from home. Chelsea will need an early goal this week to settle the nerves, if that doesn't come it could be quite a tense and edgy affair.

Yaya is tempting but I have Kompany so out of the question for me. Just a question of if 3 City attackers is overkill? If it's just for the two home matches it could be a profitable punt.

You already have a problem deciding on who to bench, why would you take hit to bring in more players. You'll want Valencia from gw 28 onwards so no point in transfering him out. Bench Valencia for next 2 gw, others in your team have decent fixtures.

Hey disparate dan.. you around? just realised you can watch audition on youtube.. divided into 9 parts.. watch the first 3 mins of part 6.. if you like it watch the whole thing.. it's pretty slow and different.. gotta be used to korean/jap horror movies.. as for amnesia dark descent.. i'll describe this small bit i was playin.. entered a hallway with a few lit candles.. as i walked forward a random breeze came into the windows and blew them out.. started losin sanity in the darkness so lit one.. just ahead i hear a scream.. a monster was standin infront of me and could see me in the light though i dint notice him earlier.. no weapons in the game.. so i turned around and ran.. found an open door, entered the room and shut it.. moved a table infront of the door to block the door.. the monster started bangin against the door.. table began moving.. i turned around and entered a closet.. could barely see through the crack as the monster entered.. waited a few moments and then my character began goin insane in the dark.. so i opened the door and walked out to light a candle.. foolishly left the room door open.. moments later the monster saw me and i was dead:)

If you captain Aguero for both matches possibly. Rooney could well explode against Norwich and Spurs though, he has a heart for the big games.

Obviously been fearing the Zab for a while with him coming in last week. Firstly, is Richards first choice anymore? Second, what reasons have they identified for Zabs playing this week? Rotation? Rest? Tactical? Injury? I figured perhaps Mancini is giving Richards a break after his Porto injury.

I fear this too but ain't got the funds to upgrade to kompany and I hate sideways moves. Richards could easily start and play well. If you look at the games he's missed, they're usually away from home.

Personally I was fairly confident Richards would start this week and I saw the home/away stats thing showing something like 9/10 starts at home and quite a few for Zab away. At the end of the day Richards has the most minutes behind only Lescott and Kompany and I can't see him becoming a squad player. I can't afford many more restings though.

Yeah I noticed King Cabbage saying this last night. It's a fair enough point, but I fear that's more correlation than causation tbh.

Besides, Richards played midweek, picked up a niggle, and City should have too much quality for Bburn even w/o their first choice RB.

He may well play, but I've got enough money and no pressing transfers, so Kompany it is

Did he? Fair enough I didn't see the match and just went by posts on here. I'm still leaning towards Zabs starting though, and of course we're going to have this vague rotation worry every GW now by the looks of it.

Normally I'm transfer averse, keeping players if at all possible, but as I say I've got the money for Komp and would just like a nailed on City defender I can stick in my XI and forget about.

In your situation it's probably worth it, at least you have security with Kompany.

Richards did keep playing after his injury but he does strike me as injury prone and I do wonder if keeping him in the side is going to pay off or not. I really do need an attacking defender though and he's one of the finest.

Yeah that's the great shame. He's an excellent fantasy player, and is definitely first choice RB. It's just that City have such incredible squad depth that Mancini can afford to rotate everyone, Kompany and Hart are the only exceptions

If r.taylor plays, he plays RM, simple as that. Cabaye and Tiote will def be CM. So it comes down to whether he'll be in front of Guthrie, Obertan and Ben Arfa. I'd be most worried about Guthrie keeping his place as he's been playing ok, however I'm pretty condfident Taylor will start tomorrow. Trouble is that there's plenty of options for that spot so coule be the first to be subbed if things not going right or lose his place if pardew wanting to try something different.

I'd say that's a pretty accurate assessment so it's whether you want to take the risk. Could pay off handsomly but could also crash and burn. I'm stuck with the same decision and still don't know what to do for best!

Cisse is known for is goalgetter skills. I think Newcastle brought him in for that reason, with the intention to make Ba more of a playing striker. Sure, he'll still hammer in goals, but I think it will be more spread now in Newcastle. 😉

Before, you knew if there ever was a pling in a Newcastle match, Ba would be involved 2 out of 3 times.

So I've started a new team just for the fun of it. Wanted to get in differentials and see how that would work out against my top side. Was pretty pleased with the result, got a lot out of the budget I think, but then came the injuries:

    Krul (Al Habsi)

    Kompany Raylor Evra (Rangel, Kelly)
Dempsey Yaya Cleverly (inj) Modric (ill) (McClean)
    Cisse Aguero Torres (inj)

Especially the attack there had brilliant fixtures the next 2-3 gameweeks at least.

    I'm now considering:

    Krul (Al Habsi)
    Richards Raylor JEvans
    Dempsey Yaya Young Modric (McClean)
    Cisse Aguero Suarez

What do you think? Don't want the 40 % ownership guys on this team. I want to see how a team a little out of the preffered will do against the expected best. 😉 Suggestions for other differentials are appreciated.

I like it, it's the differential express.

What would you do about the injuries? Stick or toss?

'Arry said Modric picked up an injury and is fighting through it, Richards isn't a guaranteed start, but the rest of that second squad looks good...for differential purposes.

The one without Torres, injured or not.
