I have no playing GKs left. Yes, it really has got that stupid.

Sorenson and Stockdale. One has to go this week. What are you looking at? I have a few in mind but my defensive selections have been so unbelievably awful recently I defer to the crowd...

Schwarzer would double me up on another round of bl**dy Fulham home CS disappointment - and benching them for their away ones.

Sick of richards that POS letting me down all the time, everytime i buy him he injures himself.

Kolarov played the last 4 games. and just got MOTM. Hes locked in AFAIC.

    Richards>Kolarov

    My team:

    Al Habsi
    Santon, Kompany, Kolarov (Wilkinson, Kelly)
    Nani, Silva, Sess, Bale (Moses)
    Rooney, RVP, Saha

    Thoughts?

Mancini has been rotating the fullbacks all season.
Why do you think now because of one good game that Kolarov is as certain a starter as Kompany, Aguero and SIlva?
If rotation is whats bothering you put Kompany in, or Lescott.
Guaranteed 100% that the sun will rise in the morning and that Kolarov will be rotated with Clichy 🙂

Yeah I'm thinking similar, except Taiwo ahead of Evans. If their CS chances are similar (at least IMO) and he has obvious attacking threat (2 assists in 4) I should go for it shouldn't I?

Personally I would back the better defense over the a sh*t defense neglecting the opposition. Spurs were rocked yesterday and possibly this England Harry thing is proving to be a distraction.

I know what you mean, and the United defence is obviously better, but of course it's a trade off between defensive and attacking points and I'd think with how ridiculously attacking Spurs are (it caused the 5 goals yesterday) you'd have to put a United CS in extreme doubt. I was thinking the same too that Harry might be distracted, but between Bale, VDV, Modric, Lennon, Ade, Saha, Defoe... I really can't see Spurs failing to score. I can see them conceding loads though.

I think the problem your facing in this attacking vs defensive points is that the player in question is Taiwo and not say Baines or Vermeallen. Your call.

Yeah I hear you. Taiwo v Santon perhaps? Surprised no-one's mentioned him, I don't rate Toon's chances of a CS that highly but I guess with QPR's defensive form I have to consider it.

The only reason I didnt put him is because of the heated derby and he could get himself sent off. Sunderland were flying before and Newcastle defending has been a bit poor lately.

He's a in a bad defence in a field of very many bad defences right now though! I'm thinking playing him at home against one of the worst scorers in the League, Everton, plus with much better attacking threat than Evans, might edge it?

Not sure about doubling on the Newcastle defence like this. I was considering doubling expecting a defensive improvement with Tiote back, but certainly didn't happen against Wolves - we will have to wait and see. Also Sunderland are looking quite likely to net this GW against Toon wouldn't you say? I can't see MON letting them repeat this week's disaster.

Liverpool and Everton didn't have a game this weekend thanks to the Carling Cup final.

In GW29 they are playing FA Cup quarter finals same week as PL games, so anyone In the FA Cup or playing a team in the FA Cup has had their fixture cancelled.
And Liverpool vs Everton moved to midweek of that week probably. Some of the others might get put midweek then as well

Granville and Mark can't see why they shouldn't be put midweek other than TV rights issues about which games are shown live.

But there is no official word on any of it, so we have to wait and find out about rearrangements and plan accordingly.

Right now, it's best to plan transfers assuming certain games aren't going ahead that week.

And if Chelsea beat Birmingham in their replay, the Chelsea-City match will be cancelled too

Just because everyone's inevitably wondering which games are played GW29 I thought I'd repost for the millionth time Tosey's (linked) guesses from his analysis:

    "Fulham v Swansea
    Newcastle v Norwich
    Wigan v WBA
    Wolves v Man Utd
    Liverpool v Everton
    Villa v Bolton
    Blackburn v Sunderland

Teams with no game – Spurs, Arsenal, QPR, Stoke, Man City, Chelsea"

apparently spurs wigan got moved from a sat to a sunday with less than a weeks notice a couple of years ago so with that in mind the 2 games (spurs stoke and city chelsea ) could just be moved with less than 2 weeks notice

Now, I don’t suppose there are any Swans lurking on these boards? I was going do to zero transfers this week (barring injury midweek). However, I am quite concerned about Sinclair this week. I fear he may get the chop by the gaffer seeing as Swansea have hit a sticky patch and he has gotten the hook against Norwich and now Stoke. Rodgers isn’t afraid to change things either when it comes to the line up (not the way they play though!) They are away at Wigan as well, would be less concerned if he was at home. Gilf seems nailed on but I don’t see the point in that transfer if I am to make one, seeing as Swansea have a game in 29 and I need to plan accordingly. Besides, could always swap McClean for Gilf at a later date.

Note to self: Never again use the words ‘Gilf’ and ‘nailed’ in the same sentence before attempting to eat lunch.
