Our Watchlist player rankings have now been revised following the first two Gameweeks of the 2018/19 season.

The Watchlist can be found in your sidebar on desktop, or via your slide-in menu on mobile or tablet. It acts as a collection of our current thoughts on player selection for each position, also citing the factors that affect their ranking on the list.

As a general rule, we try to commit to just one player per position per club. However, in some cases we where we believe double-coverage is advisable, two players will be listed instead. We’ve got further examples of that this week.

Form continues to play the overriding role in the factors available to us given that we are just two weeks into the season.

GOALKEEPERS

Ederson (£5.5m) sits atop the list of goalkeepers still, even if Manchester City failed to keep a clean sheet against Huddersfield. Even still, his assist for Sergio Aguero’s (£11.1m) first goal means he has averaged 6.5 points per game so far this season, and still has a favourable run of fixtures.

Petr Cech (£5.0m) rises slightly now that Arsenal have come out on the other side of a tough opening two Gameweeks and now face a more favourable run of matches.

Despite Cardiff’s tough fixtures, Neil Etheridge (£4.5m) simply had to go into the Watchlist after saving two penalties in as many Gameweeks.

DEFENDERS

Now without a rotation risk, Marcos Alonso’s (£6.6m) third attacking return in two Gameweeks sees him jump up the rankings. The Chelsea man is now behind only Benjamin Mendy (£6.2m) and Andrew Robertson (£6.0m), who remain the top two. Both players are still in top form and continue to have great fixtures.

Luke Shaw (£5.1m) receives similar treatment now that he has two two goal involvements in as many Gameweeks to the start the 2018/19 campaign.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s (£4.1m) red card in Gameweek 2 rules him out of Gameweek 3, damaging his appeal somewhat. However, the extreme value he offers in a strong defence means the Crystal Palace man remains in the Watchlist for his Gameweek 4 return.

Steve Cook (£4.6m) has shot right up after his goal and assist against West Ham, adding to his six-point haul from Gameweek 1.

Ricardo Pereira (£5.0m) makes a deserved appearance in the list after making it two assists in two as Leicester beat Wolves in Gameweek 2. As you will have seen from our latest Big Numbers article, he has the potential for more attacking returns this season.

After returning from World Cup leave in Gameweek 2, Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) gets a mention now that he has wrestled some set piece responsibilities away from Christian Eriksen (£9.5m).

MIDFIELDERS

The form and fixtures of Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), Richarlison (£6.8m) and Sadio Mané (£9.8m) make them the top three midfield options in FPL right now.

Joining them in the top four of the Watchlist is Arsenal man Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£7.1m) after his goal and assist against Chelsea. The Gunners now have a run of favourable games until a home meeting with Liverpool in Gameweek 11. The only factor that could detract from Mkhitaryan’s appeal is a slight risk of rotation with Arsenal’s front-three a little unsettled currently.

Pedro (£6.6m) remains the highest Chelsea option after scoring twice in the first two Gameweeks, although he still carries some rotation risk. That’s because Eden Hazard (£10.5m) is pushing a return to the side although Maurizio Sarri still seems to insist he is not ready to start matches yet.

Even though he played at right wing-back against Huddersfield and was not involved in any of Manchester City’s goals, Bernardo Silva (£7.6m) keeps his place as the highest rated midfielder from the champions, simply on account of his likelihood of starts. The absence of Kevin de Bruyne (£9.8m) and his versatility make him harder to drop than most of his team-mates right now. Meanwhile, Riyad Mahrez (£9.0m) loses his place in the list having registered just 85 minutes in two matches so far.

Ryan Fraser (£5.5m) receives a boost as his form continues ahead of long period of appealing fixtures for Bournemouth. The Scottish winger now has a goal and an assist in his first two outings with a porous Everton defence up next for him at the Vitality Stadium. James Maddison’s (£6.5m) first goal of the season also sneaks him into the Watchlist.

FORWARDS

That Arsenal fixture swing has propelled Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.0m) up the rankings. However, he is still marked with a C for form after failing to record any attacking returns in the first two Gameweeks.

Conversely, Callum Wilson (£6.1m) has three to his name making it very difficult for us not to push him up the Watchlist with Everton coming to Bournemouth this week.

Harry Kane (£12.5m) is also on the rise after finally proving he is capable of scoring a Premier League goal in August. However, we can’t attach fixtures as factor to him until after Tottenham have got a Gameweek 3 trip to Manchester United out of the way.

Differential Danny Ings (£5.5m) has managed 10 goal attempts in the first two matches, getting himself a goal against Everton in Gameweek 2. While Southampton’s fixtures are a little uninspiring, the former Burnley and Liverpool man can offer value at his price point.

Roberto Firmino (£9.5m) continues to fall down the Watchlist. Salah and Mané are clearly the go-to attacking options with defence also needed to be covered by the three-player Liverpool allocation.

B). Replace Firmino with Wilson for -4 hit.

Prefer Wilson's fixtures (and he looks electric so far) but Ings saves you money (and underlying stats very nice in short sample).

Depends a bit on what your squad needs. If both the same price I'd go Wilson for sure. If you need the cash desperately for another big move then Ings.

So I just finished watching the Scout Cast and I wanted to express my belief in what David touched on at the start about listening to your gut instincts as opposed to what others are telling you, ultimately causing you to second guess your own opinions or reasoning.

I completely agree with him and how this "strategy" if you would call it that, helps alot,

When I first started taking FPL seriously a few years ago I came to this site and I asked tons of questions.. Week in week out, constantly having my team rated by the community and not really making much of my own decisions or doing my own research...being somewhat of a "lazy" FPL manager.

I have since learned that making your own decisions by doing your own research is so much more rewarding, and on the flip side, when you fail, personally I feel like it hurts much less because you know you made that decision based on valid research and stats instead of being sat there being annoyed that the defensive midfielder who scored 2 one off goals one week, doesn't manage to keep that form up in 5 weeks following.. Causing you to mentally (or vocally!) curse those random people who told you to get said player simply because they scored well the week before...Neves is a prime example of that from GW 1 for me.

For myself, by implementing this mentality in my second year playing I felt much more confident in my team and my selections, I started to get so much more out of the game of FPL as well as football in general, learning so much more throughout the season about all teams as opposed to just the team I support.. (C'mon you Blues!!)

Now, I'm not trying to imply that the chat going on here on FFS isn't helpful to you at all. There are some very smart managers here who know their stuff and can give very honest and helpful information. But in my opinion, for every 1 manager that has done proper research, there are 5 others who are just following the crowd or using some poor information that they may have been given previously. Don't always be a sheep, be the odd one out at times and make choices based on your gut feeling, don't always listen to the crowd. To sum it up... do your own research before say asking an A or B question, don't just pick players who scored well the week before and ask if they are a good pick without checking and noticing they play City, Chelsea and Liverpool in the following 3 games...
And while I'm on the topic of the comments section, using a similar logic, when giving your answers to a question, maybe add credible information as to why your giving that answer. All of this will help you improve your game and I promise, you will improve your game, or at least you will feel confident in your team and that your selections may have failed because of random reasons like a random drop from the team sheet, an injury or just plain unlucky, and not because you had no stats to back up your selections.

Here's a little secret! The key to this game is being proactive, not reactive. Obviously you have to be reactive alot of the time, but your goal should be to try and find those gems before they hit that big score, not the week after resulting in possibly being priced out... And yes I realize that's no secret, and it's very obvious, but I don't think everyone here has that mentality or the "Gut instinct" to deter from the said "Template". I'm without Salah for example and have $3.5 ITB, and honestly I feel very confident, because the rest of my team is shaping up well and I have plans for the rest of my money being used elsewhere.. that's just me.

Im going to big up the members area again, but it is extremely helpful.. Use it if you have it available! If not, get it... If you can't afford it? watch more football! In my opinion, watching the games is most important to me, but using both are extremely useful in being a solid FPL manager.
All this being said, your not always going to have time to delve into too much research or watch all the games from that week, but just understand that if you don't put in the time your results may not be as good as those who have put in that time. FFS has many different tools, the comments section is only a small part of it. The more you utilize, the better results you should get.

So that's my opinion, it helped me significantly in the past and I hope it can help some of you. Feel free to add to this or give some of your helpful tips/advice to other fpl managers here.

I agree. I'm going with my own opinion this season and I'm off to my best start yet. I still use A/B posts to get some external opinions, but it's YOU who knows your team and rationale best.

Great Post! I think its very important to know why you have a certain player in your time or why you are making a particular transfer and not just get the player who scored last week.

Couldn't agree more, although it has taken me all three seasons on here to learn that. The data and insight available here is extremely valuable, but people's opinions have no more worth than your own.

This season I promised myself I would try to make my own mind up and go with my gut. Have scored 90+ in the first two weeks, and the only player I selected because of on this site was Josh King instead of Callum Wilson, and we all know how that one turned out...

I would add that when you rmt or ask for opinion, bear in mind that people will absolutely think completely differently at times. Example: I think Pedro is a brilliant fpl signing, others don't and will convince you why he isn't. The opinion is there to help you weigh up decisions, but yoh have to decide for yourself.

Yup exactly, and those that say he may not be a good pick, some of the reasons have merits due to the unknown of hazard. I have pedro also, and as a blues fan I think he should start over Willian, but you can never know for sure until hazard makes his first start.

Well said mate. I have created a few rules for myself this season and I'm planning to follow it.
      1) No Hazard for the entire season
      2) DDG in goal for 38 weeks
      3) No hits at all
      4) Punty gutsy captain always
      5) No early transfers for prices

Even if I don't do well, I'll be satisfied that I didn't make the mistakes which I made Earlier!

This seems like a really bad, rigid strategy - I actually completely disagree with all five. You have to be willing to adapt.

#1 Hazard will be a great option, especially as TV builds and we can utilise those extra few millions without making sacrifices. Hazard is one such player we can take advantage of.
#2 DDG is a flat out mistake.
#3 is silly because while I think on average hits are bad, you have to be WILLING to take one in a worst case scenario.
#4 Punty captains will lose you points in the long run.
#5 The market is faster this year. While you have a WC and occassionally 2FT banker, it's often worth it IMO because those 0.1s will become millions very quickly.

          Cheers! Thanks for your opinion.
#1 I really dont have a good history with Hazard. Whenever i get him, he seems to just turn off. I wont like him in there before each week. I would rather have Mane/Eriksen/Alli/etc. These players arent too bad either.
          #2 Mou bus coming soon
#3 Having a strong bench this season. I have to get 6 points that week from him, which is tough to predict
#4 First week - Sanchez, Second week - Mendy. Both have got me returns. This week captaining Sterling!! Its fun this way! Salah is 13m. Not in my team
          #5 Points over pounds!

I respect the rules you've set for yourself, but I think limiting yourself like that could burn you as Lobito also mentioned.
In my opinion, Hazard will be extremely valuable this season.. Sarri is very attacking, unlike previous managers, and he is arguably playing for a big move after this season.

DDG is an unknown for me right now as united look very shaky.

No hits has some merit, but if I'm being honest I've gone the other direction.. I think hits have some value over the season.

I'm a big fan of using a punty captain, but not always. I think the key is to be more open minded than following the crowd of "Salah (C) every week"

Those are my honest opinions to you, I respect that you've made rules for yourself, but you risk limiting yourself quite significantly in some areas over the season

Hazard has burned me a lot previous seasons. But surely i shall reconsider if he goes bonkers.

Just 2 games in, and in the first one, he conceded after 90mins. I will just put him there. Set and forget.

Just wanted to change the style of play. Dont feel a -4 is returned immediately. Dont want to take this risk.

My team is Salahless. Gone with TAA, Mane, Firmino. Last game for firmino to impress. If he fails, Robertson coming in for me

          Thanks for your opinions mate.

I actually do the exact opposite of these 5!!

Hazard will have a proper time to own him.
        DDG is poor value.
        Hits are often successful.

I am not saying that they wont score point coz they will (prob 200+ in whole season each). Just think that Hazard and Auba could do atleast same amount of points and without Salah the rest of the team looks much better.

But half the game doesn’t own Salah, so that necessarily doesn’t mean that you are following your gut more than Salah owners.
This post is about making your own decision and doing your own research, not whether you are in the 45% (oooooh so brave) people going Salah less.

Yes, thats true, 45+ % of people in FPL doesnt own him. But on this site there is like 90+% of people who have Salah in there team and you exchange opinions with them not with whole 5 milion FPL players. Most of them on this site will tell you that Salah is to risky to take out (and thats true). Taking out Salah means you are in that "10 or less" % of people here, people who shares there opinions on this site. So yea, in this smaller scale going Salahless is "going with your gut" and could backfire easily

Not sure your percentages are right at all (after GW 4), but that’s not the Central point in my post. Even though I think Salah will be shipped by most/ a lot if Mané matches or outscores Salah again.
For me it’s just as much going with your gut to say that Mane’s points aren’t sustainable. I’ve watched both Pool games and Salah just looks tons more dangerous.

Again, my point was, you can follow other people advice without thought whether you going without Salah or not.

I agree that you can take salah out for some gw during the season, myself toying with the idea of mane/salah out for hazard gw4. But taking him out before a home game with Brighton, did you really do your research, salah threat is way higher than mane 3 goals show. Good luck for Gw3

Yup, I agree. I'm making a big claim here, but if hazard can stay fit I think he out scores Salah this season. Part of my reasoning for going without Salah is that my team structure is much better, and Mane + Rob combo is doing just fine.

I usually keep away from it now a days, I poke around looking for valuable comments. Check out all HTs but yea it's got out of hand lately. I like the progress of trying to rid of the RMTs as I feel it's all opinion.. People need to make their own decisions as I've mentioned in this HT.

I don't see how years of practice, deep thought, endeavour to understand the game etc equates to "going with your gut". Your "gut" is still based on legitimate understanding of the game. That's why "go with your gut" is such horrendous advice particularly for newer players. You're not giving anything helpful to add to their decision making where they can actually learn something.

This is a really good post but I don't understand why people equate experience and skill with "gut instinct".

They titled the hot topic that, but I don't think that's bluntly what he said.

He's saying do your own research, read some opinions here, but ultimately, make your own choices on which players to get. Not posting a ton of RMTs and questions throughout the week and just following the advice given. There's good advice and there's bad advice here, from some managers that just follow what everyone else does, and a tendency to chase last week's points (I understand it's tempting).

Exactly, it's an excellent post, but doing the work is nothing to do with gut feeling. It's learning to understand the game so you can make better decisions. Most RMTs and A/B questions are antithetical to improvement IMO, especially with the short format that a comment section gives.

I don't post RMTs or A/B for that reason.

"Also, feel free to edit it or give me your two cents on it. I understand that I'm implying "Go with your Gut" whilst also saying do plenty of your own research.. Hopefully it doesn't come across contradicting but I think that they compliment eachother well.

      Nice post.
Being proactive is the best way but is so hard to do early on. You have to spot players coming into form (not necessarily scoring the points yet) just as they are about to play a good run of fixtures. Keeping an eye on the sleepers like eriksen Kane hazard silva(David) who are all proven assets that will come good when they are about to go on a big run also sets the top players apart from the rest.

Watching the full 90 mins is not easy, but at least watch MOTD and ideally the Sky match re-runs which are longer, plus the Premier World series which has some manageable stats for the next fixture. Deep stats are great but eye test for me all day long...

First of all, I want to say that your message is of course great. It is one we should (and HAVE) been reminded about a lot lately. Trusting you gut, doing your own reasearch and making your own decision is the only way that will make the game fun - and make you better at it in the long term.

That being said, I think we have seen and heard this a lot lately. Again, I think it is fine to get it repeated once in a while and try to get a few more to “follow this strategy”.
BUT, most of the people that actually want to PLAY the game and want to make their own decisions, they already do this. All the (newly created and old) accounts just spewing A/B questions and RMT will always be there, as there will always be people not wanting to get really involved with the game. They are looking for quick solutions and results for their game.

What I’m trying to say is that most FPL managers on here of course will agree with you. But the game is getting bigger and that attracts a lot of people that aren’t really interested in the game. I applaud your efforts, just don’t think it’s will change anything writing a few hot topics or saying it on the ScoutCast.

That's sort of the point of this Hot Topic though, to try and get to the casual managers. This isn't at all for those who already use it, it's a nice reminder like you said, but this is a helpful post for those that aren't playing like this.

Those who use this site but follow the crowd without thinking for themselves - I would call them sheep, not casuals.

But perhaps some of them might see this Hot Topic and be encouraged to be a bit less sheepish!

Of course, using the term casual can be interpreted in different ways. For me it means a manager that rarely does research and usually just brings in a player that did well the week before. Ultimately "casually" playing the game of FPL

Good post and like you say, actually watching the games and seeing if people pass the eye test is so important. I do feel quite a few people here rely solely on stats and don't watch enough.

The community here is helpful and I tend to use it when I'm in a quandary. Eriksen vs Mane was the perfect example. I was set on Eriksen for pre-season until a couple of days before and did all the 2017/18 research on the members area and it was a no brainer. But then I actually thought about it and only wanted one of them for 6-8 weeks ideally and went with my guy. Saw that Mane had the better fixtures and Eriksen was more of a season keeper. I gambled on the more explosive option (thanks to comments from users here) and now I am flying.

Why do people throw around the term season keeper when no one besides Salah was a season keeper last year?

Eriksen is a great FPL Draft pick, because he'll most likely get 200 points. In FPL, if anything, he's the complete opposite of season keeper because he'll test your patience and his returns don't always come when you want them. In FPL, you gotta go with short term picks, and then transfer them out when their fixtures/form isn't good anymore.

You also need to have a good noise filter.
there is some good advice available from other posters but the answers you get will depend on how you ask questions.
All managers have flaws to some degree.
some managers suffer with confirmation bias, they ignore evidence that doesn't accord with their set views. they ignore the advice their given and keep asking the same question until a couple of people agree with them instead of thinking about what solution was suggested.

Others are guilty of anchoring - refusing to change their mind about a player when the facts have changed.ie King 2 years ago to King's playing position this season.
I was also guilty of putting too much weight on his pre-season form myself.

Mine in the past has been choosing players with good fixtures over someone in great form.
You've got to adapt to the circumstances each season

        Definitely,
I think noticing when you've made the wrong decision early and not being stubborn on selections or to have any bias towards certain players or teams helps alot.
Being able to step out of your comfort zone at times helps alot also, I remember a couple years ago I dropped Aguero when I had a "gut feeling" something about him wasn't right, the very next game he played he scored 2 goals... But I stuck to my decision and it payed off very well. I was able to distribute funds elsewhere in my team and I beat most of the community to the punch after he eventually got injured and was losing his place/sharing minutes with Jesus.
The community can be your best friend or your worst enemy.. The key is deciding for yourself what you want to take from things.

Recognize, too, that different managers have different philosophies of playing. Some take risks, some are conservative. Case in point - answers to the question as to who is best 5.0 MID. Conservative managers are most likely to say Kante. Risk takers might plump for Brooks, Hughes etc. You could be getting opinions from managers that approach the game very differently to you.

Or "Make your own Final Decision" may be good, but I also don't think it really matters so long as it catches the eye and people give it a read! You can interpret it however you want really.

just play the game how you want.
Don't see the point in playing how other people do if you're not enjoying it. I want to look at my team and know it's mine and not somebody else's. I don't want to copy Ronka's or Egerserdoff's teams I want to try and beat them 🙂
Personally i take hits and a few risks. Sometimes it pays off. Gut feeling is a big part of my playing. e.g. I've gone Ings for King not because he's cheaper but he's a good player who works hard and is hungry with a point to prove.

Two big scores from Kane and Auba and wheels will be turning. All Salah is the greatest and scary and other talks are because you can do well (for now) with Arnie, Wilson and so on (or so it seems). Two braces from Lukaku and no more Salah + 4.5 mio mid talk. Mane+Richa, Mkhi+Haz...Salah was great last season, he will be this season but he is 13mio. If he does not deliver like last year (or even if he does), a lot of funds locked. And it is ok for now since no hauls from Auba, Kane, Lukaku...this is the only thing that keeps this game almost "template" from the start (at least in comments). Everybody is Mane vs Salah (and "Mane can't keep it up?!"), "must have", "budget forwards are ok", 4-5-1...i am just waiting for two braces from THE forwards and storm to start.

Yea, I like to look at players as Points Per Million. For now I think other players are better value that are cheaper. That could of course change, but I took the risk going without Salah so that I had more money spread out for easy changes in my team to start the season and catch price rises. It payed off, but it quite easily could've backfired as well.

Couldn't agree more. I used to use the comment section a lot more. Have found a lot of it very repetitive and binary recently, so have spent a lot more time in the members area - really helpful when you delve into it. Gives you confidence in your hunches too.

Main thing that's v easy to ignore (and I've been guilty of this before) is that there are a million ways to play this game. Money in defence, three big hitters up top, 5 at the back, loads of hits, chips in SGWs etc. A guy won it 2 years ago not picking a Liverpool player all year because he was an Evertonian! Last week this place was full of chat about death of the premium strikers and then Aguero scored a hattrick. There are about 25 players I want in my team currently, a team can be v different from yours and still great.

This is the best post of the season so far. Couldn't have said it better.

Incidentally, it's what Jay Eggersdorf (world number one, nearly always top couple of thousand) also says. He has one of these Patreon.com accounts and he explicitly says on his YouTube video, he is not going to just tell subscribers who to pick - not only is that pointless for them since they will never beat one of his team and he may have a bad season himself anyway - but he will tell them what kinds of things and stats he looks at, the decision making process. There are too many people on this site - and in the world generally - looking to avoid all responsibility and looking for a scapegoat (but never giving credit to Scouts when they make a good call either).

Interesting, he is definitely right! Or at least in my opinion anyway. Thats why I don't like responding to tons of questions on this site because it's all just "my opinion".
Most times where I'll chime in is usually when it's obvious that the person needs help and has valid arguments. Almost always reminding them that it's only my opinion.

It seems as though he has the same logic as me, may be worthwhile if I got in touch with him! Is he around these parts anymore?

      Such a great post.

If you do the research and make a decision based on your own, reasoned logic, if it doesn't work out you only regret the outcome not the decision itself. Personally for me that means not following a 'gut' feeling, or taking a punt. I follow the Joe (Jonny) approach, form, fixtures, and ownership.

Nothing wrong with being a "Dullard" as he calls it, but in my opinion I don't think playing that way will ever "win" the game of FPL. I think you need to take some (educated) risks at times to really progress in this game. Getting it wrong may hurt, but when you get it right, I think the positive gains outweigh the negatives.

You obviously didn't read the whole post, there is plenty of value in this site, if there wasn't, I wouldn't be a member. Articles, hot topics, member's area? My post is focusing on making your own decisions.. Based on your own research, and not focusing on the comments section listening to people who may not have done any research of their own.

Seriously? I've been here a good while now. First time that's been said. I'm pointing out that the site has uses that we all take advantage of to help make decisions based on more than "gut". I do. Gut is fine but if it's just that, why bother with anything else. I'm actually pointing out that none of us do it alone in this game. We all use websites who've done research for us (like the price change ones and this) and we all get information from each other like news on injuries, opinions on players playing positions and so on. Quite funny I'm getting labelled a troll after quite a few years on here by a poster I can't say I recognise to be honest.

Your last few posts, "Davies to Mendy? No, Everton fixtures are better than Leicester" Sorry, but neither of those players play for either of those teams
"Rate my team, (posts team full of extremely cheap and unused players)"
"Don't pick him, the guardian are thinking of dropping him" "is using this sites information your own research?"

Like really? Did you ever go to school? Did any of the projects, assignments, essays etc ever include you to "research" to come up with an end product? Don't give some crap saying that I implied this site isn't useful, when I clearly stated it is in my post (and that I use it myself)
It is doing your own research, for your team and to find out about players or teams.. And also watching the games, which I also said is very important, it's all your own research!

Like come on, how am I not supposed to think your trolling me? Read all the comments and read my whole post...its very clear what I am getting at.

Now you are here saying "Everyone uses websites and checks things" are you really saying that EVERYONE that uses this site reads the articles? Checks twitter? Watches full matches or highlights week in week out? C'mon man, like that's not even close to true!

      Completely agree with your sentiments.

Question: what indicators determine your "gut" instinct? Is there certain data you look for or something else?

Akin to a racehorse coming into form, how do we assuage a footballer doing the same for ff purposes?

I guess I just like (or don't mind) taking risks.. I don't overly like to select the favorite captain choice each week, I vet other players first, basically cancelling players out based on many different factors in the members area.. This question is pretty wide open, and I could go on forever and explain exactly how I play... but really I just get good vibes from players if I'm being honest. I watch enough to know when a player has potential or is looking like they are due a haul, sometimes even if the stats don't quite line up.

Ultimately I like to have an open mind about things and take chances... An example would be when I captained Hazard against Man City 2 seasons ago when he scored 2 goals, he didn't score in the previous 3 games.. There were other favorites for captain that week, and noone on this site would've recommended him, hell, I wouldn't have even recommend it to anyone.. I just had a feeling.

Hope that somewhat answers your question.

The key to your answer is in the watching of football matches. You'd think the stats might cover everything but the key is in the watching and knowing football.

I thought it was quite interesting to see how left-footed Salah is. From situations where he's breaking / running in behind, that won't make too much difference, but for crosses that surely makes him more likely to favour balls from the right ie TAA. The trouble there is that Robertson is by far the better of the two in that regard.

Need help on what transfers to make for GW3. I have 2 FTs and plans to take an extra hit.

    Foster
    Mendy Robertson PVA
    Salah Mané Richarlison B.Silva
    Aguero Zaha King

    Bench: Fab Peltier AWB Stephens

Was planning on doing King, B.Silva, PVA —> Ings, Mkhi, Alonso

Don’t know whether to get rid of PVA or B.Silva

Have no bench at all with AWB red.
Luiz, Bailey to start? Or shall I switch to Bellarin?

    Hi Guys,

Doing well topping my leagues so far but what do you think about me taking a hit to bring alonso:
    Fabianski (Patricio)
    Robertson, Mendy, S.Cook (AWB,Peltier)
Mane, Salah (C), Richarlison Mkhi (Cairney)
    Arnie, King, Aguero

    1FT, 0.9mn ITB

    A) King to Ings
    B) AWB & King -> Alonso & Kamara (for a -4 hit)

save FT, i have a similar team and Alonso imo isnt worth a hit. You could also do King and Cairney to Ings and Pedro, just another one to consider

    Who to bring in?

    A) Mkhitaryan
    B) D Silva

both have great fixtures, MCI slightly more appealing, Mkhi slightly cheaper and less of a rotation threat.
