Play Pickford (at Bournemouth - likely with Coleman, Zouma, Keane and Digne in front) or Foster (home to Palace but against Zaha et al)? Thinking might just toss a coin

Pickford. I think both have about the same chances of a CS, so I'd go for the one who imo will have more saves.

      Two quick questions:

      Who to start?
      A) D Luiz (new)
      B) Bavies (mun)

      Who to captain?
      1) Mané (BRI)

That's because people here think that Kun is a rotation risk + he won't do well because it's an away game.

I'm headstrong with my thinking and I feel Kun (c) is the way to go this week.

Great starting XI tho, you might have to sort out your bench in a week or 2 in case of a no-show. Unless you're gonna WC soon.

Maybe.....never really invested in my bench 2bh and Wan Bisaka is a gift lol. From my 11 Schlupp and Pedro are my worries, everyone else should be fine i reckon.

Aguero will probably see some rotation too .... you could get a bad day with Schlupp, Pedro & Kun benched 🙁

      Hi guys!
Been having this question in my head for the past week.

      Alonso vs mkhitaryan vs lacazette

      Who should i prioritise?
      Thanks guys. Appreciate it.

Laca isn’t nailed on it seems.
Think it’s between Alonso and Mkhi.
Depends on who you’re going to ditch.

        Laca not nailed.

        Mkhitaryan might be rotated.

Alonso plays like a winger + picks up clean sheet points.

Higher points ceiling and cheaper than the other two.

Think Emery likes Mkhi, doesn’t he?

I bought Mkhi and Alonso this GW.
Both teams with some good fixtures.

Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Rambo, Laca, Iwobi vying for 3 spots behind Auba.

A couple of poor performances (which he is very capable of) and he might find himself on the bench.

Mane is pretty much locked to go out. Salah was also going out for Sterling but last week benching has installed some doubts. Considering different alternatives, might end up keeping Salah though...

            Mane, King to:
            a) Hazard, 5.6
            b) 4.9, Kun

            If I calculated it right...

Have 1.4 in bank, so Hazard with Zaha is possible. B option will make midfield week, so probably not a good idea

      Pick one
      Currently on this
      A.
      Ederson / 4.0 (442)
      Alonso Robertson Mendy Shaw/Pereira WB
Mane Walcott Fraser Hazard / 4.5
      Aguero Auba / 4.5

Can afford this if one of them drops tonight.
      B.
      Hennessey / 4.0 (442)
Alonso Robertson Mendy (WB / Cedric*)
Mane Walcott Mkhi Hazard / 4.5
      Aguero Auba* / 4.5

      Wait, wait, wait, goddamnit wait!

Every year the same old pattern of knee jerk transfers. This week I had miraculously saved a transfer (so rare), and decided to early transfer king (to avoid a 0.1 drop) and Boly for Robertson and Kamara (couldn’t afford Mitrovic)... holding onto Lacazette for another week. Days later emery says he won’t start laca - I could have kept king instead and got Mitrovic. Dang. I may be a bearded old man, but I’m not patient!

I kept a free transfer and got Hazard. But I'm not happy about it, he probably won't start and there will be a late flurry from spanish giants trying to sign him. Should've just bought mane for this week

It’s hard to keep the finger off the transfer trigger especially at this stage of the season when the price changes happen so quick

It's hard when so many non casual picks are firing from the off. Most have had a great start on here so makes sense to make some moves.

Does anyone here have a good memory of their triple captain production? I'm considering using it in a single gw because in my memory, DGWs seem to disappoint quite often whether it be due to rotation or just lack of production. Cheers

Last year, double GW's were a fail yes. But the season before, many BB and TC squads produced 180 odd points in GW 37. Sanchez got 25,Kane got 27 points and they were the obvious TC choices.

I triple captained Payet and it went very well during a double gameweek. Sanchez as well, he got something like 30 points. Last year was the first double gw fail for me and most people. I'd still use it for dgws

Gave it to Kane last season, I think it in some odd dgw not the usual 'after 30' ones..He gave me 1+2, so mere 9 points. It wasn't a hit in other DGWs either if I remember correctly

Sanchez & Aguero got 25 points each in 15/16.

Sanchez & Kane got 25+ points each in 16/17.

It’s really only been a disappointment last year.

Awesome thanks for your input guys! I think last year I put it on Aguero vs Newcastle on it was a mega fail! Salah is tempting this week, and then Aguero again vs Newcastle is tempting, but I guess I will go with the herd as I usually do with this.

Double GWs can be great I think it just feels worse when they fail.
Being used to 180+ with chips in dgws and then barely scraping 100 was horrible. But only one fail year maybe still the way to go.

I remember when my flatmate used it on Aguero when he scored 5 against Newcastle. No good memories of myself though, and I usually go for double gameweeks so you might be onto something

With rotation being more frequent, especially in the top teams, I think we could see a increasing number of managers taking their chances in a sgw.

      Wild Card Criteria:
Look approx 5 weeks ahead and not just the next match.
Wild Card early to get price rise/drop benefits.
Choose fixture proof players as the backbone of your side.
Ensure there are easy routes to players you might need later.
      Can anyone add to this?

A lot do it because you start analysing your side when seeing other teams and realise you can get more out of a WC than first thought.
I have avoided it by pre-determining when I will use it. Pretty simple this year due to world cup return rotations and the mass of easy fixtures from GW3.
Not the end of the world though. Good luck going forward mate.

Okay I have a question..On wildcard, what do people mean when they say build team value first by temp team and then Build a team you want on last day..You don't gain anything if a player's price rises just once before you transfer him out right? And players who do rise twice, will most probably

        1. MAVER!CK
          • 8 Years
          7 years, 4 months ago

be the once that are in demand or a must haves..in this case Mendy, Mane, Aguero, Richa. So how exactly do you build a team value?

Press the button early and build a team with prospective risers and move out potential drops. At the end of the week your TV will rise and then do surgery to what you want. I think drops are most important to keep an eye on.
If you press the button late, you will be paying premium for players and may lose money in the old side who drop in price.

I’m stuck with Ramsey in my draft and considering what to do - I’m top and most good players gone so need to think outside the box. Worth a punt swapping for Iwobi do you think? Obviously on draft don’t need to worry about wasting transfers so the risk being stuck with a worse option than I had before.

Also stuck with Lacazette but no idea what do with him, options very limited and Ings will go early so might just gamble on him getting some productive involvement.

No fault anywhere, have drafted a similar team. Weak bench could burn, which is difficult to solve when other pressing issues undoubtedly arrive. I do like it, especially the D Silva pick.
