We can reveal that Mark Sutherns has played his Wildcard for Gameweek 3 of the 2018/19 Fantasy Premier League season.

Joe spoke to him in the latest episode of ScoutCast Extra Time on Friday afternoon to find out his reasons for hitting the button and making a raft of changes.

You can watch that video below or on our YouTube channel.

Mark explained that a lot of his decision revolved around how volatile the transfer market has been since Sergio Aguero‘s (£11.2m) hat-trick in Gameweek 2.

With managers all over the world chopping and changing Mark was faced with a situation where several of his original assets were facing price falls, and those he wanted to replace them with were going in the opposite direction.

Joe made the case for sticking with Mark’s original Gameweek 2 team but it will definitely be an all-new line-up in Gameweek 3.

In our latest edition of ScoutCast Extra Time, Mark takes us through two different teams he is considering before Saturday’s 11:30am deadline – one with Eden Hazard (£10.5m) and one without.

On WC and pondering how to upgrade Odoi to Pedro possibly. Suggestions? Or not worth it?

    Ederson (Hamer)
    Robertson, Alonso, Mendy, WB (Bennett)
    Salah, Hazard, Mhiki, Richarlison (Odoi)
    Aguero, Zaha (Kamara)

Alright folks which do you prefer - the stronger squad or the one with Pedro in it. Something is nagging at me that I need a squad with Aguero/Mendy/TAA/Mkhi/Pedro all potential rotational risks.

    Ederson 4
    Alonso Mendy BELLERIN Taa awb
    Mo Mkhi Richi KANTE Westwood
    Aguero Auba Ings
(bench looks like Ings/awb Westwood Bennett and can afford to rest TAA for poor fixtures)

    Ederson 4
    Alonso Mendy Taa awb BENNETT
    Mo Mkhi Richi PEDRO Westwood
    Aguero Auba Ings
(bench looks like Kante Ings/awb Westwood)

I'm not saying either but I will say that so far I've captained the highest scorer of each gameweek 😎

You know what I always said, this captain and vice-captain system is way better than the captain twists and manual subs of other fantasy games 😛 Yep, never had a problem with this captain system at all!

    Captain:

    A) Mane
    B) Aguero
    C) Hazard?

I've gone Salah-less this season which makes a fun, if stressful, captaincy decision most weeks (seems to be okay till now, though the main reason for going Salah-less was to have KdB/Hazard + Firmino over Salah + 6.5 so it's not really working out well with Bobby it's just the other picks that are carrying me - hopefully a 9.0-9.5 striker really starts hitting the ground running soon)

If you didn’t have bench cover for Shaw (AWB & Peltier), would you transfer him out for a hit (up to 6.0m to spend)? Or would you ride it out and risk the donut if he is an out?

I'm eyeing off the Spurs boys (Davies and Trippier)

It's a hit in advance if you are selling Shaw. You save the hit next GW or take one elsewhere.

I like Chilwell too from those listed but I'm in the fund raising mood and keep the change for somewhere. I'm assuming the other defenders of yours are at least two of City/ Liverpool/ Chelsea which is enough unless you are playing four at the back

I have Mendy and VVD. i think i'll risk it this week and hope Shaw plays. The other option is David Luiz. Good stats and a great run of fixtures...

If you are on a wildcard do not be influenced by the scores from last week. You will probably want your 4.5 for some time, Cook is unlikely to be the best option, just happens to be the one with the points.
Do not even worry about close by fixtures, or teams in poor form. Personally am hoping some Wolves players drop to 4.4 tonight as want one of them. They have started poorly yet will improve wilth time (same with Fulham probably) would rather take a cheap defender from one of those sides.

Also the likes of Cedric who has been forgotten

I think I would find any pre-80s car really hard to drive.

I'd probably have to say the Porsche 911 2RS. I'm not one for saying old cars are better than new so I'd like the 911 styling with the updated handling and gadgets.

0 itb for each of them pretty much haha, Im lurking towards the wilson option and playing 433 or with jorgi it would be 352

For me C looks best. I'd be tempted to go mitrovic instead of Zaha and upgrade Bennett to a 4.5. Also maybe Kante over jorginho 🙂

Hey all, bit of a who to bench conundrum this week. Currently on:

    Hamer
    TAA, Mendy, PvA, Alonso
    Mane, Salah, Mkhi, Rich
    Mitrovic, Aguero

    Patricio, Ings, Cairney, AWB.

Have I got it right or do I play Ings over Mitrovic, Rich or maybe PvA?

Need some advice please DZ !

If Peltier doesn’t play, I’ve got no 3rd defender to come on after AWBs red card.

    Would you;

    A) take a -4 to take Bednarek for Chilwell/Periera?
    B) run the risk of Peltier not playing and do Bednarek to Periera for free next week?

You need the person coming in to score 4 just to be level who are you certain will do that

This is my thoughts exactly. And there is a chance Peltier plays, which would then make that -4 look even worse....

I’d probably bring Periera or Chilwell in.

Peltier won’t play with 90% certainty and u have no bench so taking a hit actually costs 2 points cuz u have a starter who would get 0 points. It costs 4pts when the lad ur shipping out is a starter..

He was dropped due to tactical reasons based on them having a home fixture, so now they are away he has a chance of starting again if tactics swing once again.

i was in a similar situation and did Peltier to Le Marchand, fancy a fulham clean sheet and he was in the bonus vs spurs despite them losing 3-1

Even as a united fan, I don’t have much faith in shaw. Will he play, if so how long, and will he be good considering his lack of match fitness?

Too many questions surrounding him right now. I’d stick to someone else mate

I started with Shaw knowing the risks and was ok with it. Obviously I got lucky, and that's half the battle. like someone said, I'm hoping someone drops to 4.4 tonight or in the next few days and bank the cash. cheers again.
