We can reveal that Mark Sutherns has played his Wildcard for Gameweek 3 of the 2018/19 Fantasy Premier League season.

Joe spoke to him in the latest episode of ScoutCast Extra Time on Friday afternoon to find out his reasons for hitting the button and making a raft of changes.

You can watch that video below or on our YouTube channel.

Mark explained that a lot of his decision revolved around how volatile the transfer market has been since Sergio Aguero‘s (£11.2m) hat-trick in Gameweek 2.

With managers all over the world chopping and changing Mark was faced with a situation where several of his original assets were facing price falls, and those he wanted to replace them with were going in the opposite direction.

Joe made the case for sticking with Mark’s original Gameweek 2 team but it will definitely be an all-new line-up in Gameweek 3.

In our latest edition of ScoutCast Extra Time, Mark takes us through two different teams he is considering before Saturday’s 11:30am deadline – one with Eden Hazard (£10.5m) and one without.

    Got a hard decision

    A. Ferdnandinho
    B. Neves

Who to play, defensive midfielder or set piece taker. What would you do?

Defense is Mendy Shaw Bailly WB Peltier

0.8 ITB and maxxed our on Liverpool coverage (Salah, Mane, Firm). Should I take a hit for one of the Utd defenders or just hope for the best? What team looks like they can pay off the -4? Arsenal?

Arsenal def are leaky in last game they weren’t really talking to each other after plays. Would stay away from them for a bit until form changes.

Wouldn’t take a hit either just let it ride. Shaw will prob play

Utd 4 clean sheets in a row against Spurs at Old Trafford.
I expect another busterclass from Jose

Double on the Palace Defence .Ditch Shaw. (I'd ditch Bailly too later) Spurs Central defenders or get VVD over Firm long term.

I'd take 1 hit this week for sure Utd are a sinking ship. imo

Fellas, what's the vibe on Lacazette? I've been holding since GW1 hopeful he makes an impact or gets a start soon. Hate having 9.5 tied up if he's not getting minutes, think I'll give him one more week and save my FT

I’ve had him since the start too. I’ll keep him if he starts today or he doesn’t start and they lose again. If he starts auba will be on the wing and I reckon laca will score. Wait and see.

Probably Ederson (no competition for the jersey) because Bravo’s injury.

Alisson actually, as I heard Aguero was a decent replacement. At least city have a good back up.

He could indeed. Fairplay if you own him, but I can’t see myself getting him in unless he becomes pretty much 100% nailed. 11.0 is an insane price hike. He is not the same quality as Aguero or Auba, imo anyway

      1. Moosie the Staggie

He couldn't really be priced any lower.
He had a score that is better than anything Kun has ever achieved in FPL, even Hazard has only once bettered that total in 6 seasons.

Sanchez a large pressing issue imo. Problematic not having Salah or any ARS cover imo.

Could do Firmino Sanchez to Zaha Salah (what I’d do personally)
or Pedro firmino to Auba 5.0
      or Moura to mhki

Just feels so boring captaining Salah week in, week out. Especially with Auba and Aguero in my team too.

Went punt on Mendy (c) last week, and was ALMOST a huge success - pretty damn close to getting CS, another assist and what would likely be at least 1 bonus in that case. Add that up and it’s 16pts x 2 = 32 *sigh*

All that said, will still be captaining Salah this week. All the permacaptain people out there (and the fixture this week) make it hard not to tbh

Yes, downgraded Mahrez to bring in Aguero this week.

Definitely is fun, especially early in the season when the risks aren’t that large. And if there was ever a game to do it, that is definitely a contender imo. For not havin aguero last week, and my highest scorer mane on 10, 16 is a respectable c score ig. Just annoyed about the non CS

Anyone else feel that Bernardo Silva is either going to play RW or get benched this week? Gundogan and David Silva will be the preferred pair in CM imo.

Just think Bernardo and David are both advanced midfielders and you need someone with them to sit a little deeper like KDB/Gundogan. Also from Pep's comments, he really seems to like Gundogan.

They might drop Jesus this week.

      I'm guessing they go:

      Stones Kompany Laporte
      Gundogan Fernandinho
      Bilva Mendy
      Dilva Sterling
      Aguero

May well be benched to allow mahrez and or sterling and or sane starting imo.

But if isn’t and plays RW are you saying that’s bad?

Playing RW would be the ideal scenario and I'm an owner (for now). I just think he's not as nailed on as the general consensus seems to be

I think he'll play on the right where he'll do a good job for the team but be less exciting fpl ponts wise than in the middle.

You'd think the ff Guru's would be licking their lips with the KDB injury with a more structured guess into the Citeh m/f conundrum.

Not a bit of it__It's tough . Walker benched ! Sterling benched!

It's the walk of shame really...We have to stick our necks out in an orderly fashion.

Shame you’re priced out of Luiz to Alonso.

If you aren’t averse to the -4, i could potentially see ddg downgrade (Schmeichel maybe??) and Luiz to Alonso paying off. United a shambles rn and Alonso could get a lot of attacking returns in the near future

I'm playing Hamer over Lloris but if you think United can keep a C/S then its gtg

gtg but play Peltier over Ings and Hamer time.

Good pay dividends mate. I have Auba Aguero Salah (+ Mane) to choose from, and really quite fancy Auba this week (maybe even more than Aguero), but I personally just feel Salah is a safer bet especially with that fixture.

Hope it works out for you though; I’ll still get the basic Auba points if he explodes! 😆

How does this potential trade next week sound?

Salah, Pogba, Jimenez > Mane, Auba, Neves (+0,7m to bank) (-4,)

    Leaves me with.

    Ryan
    Luiz - Mendy - Robertson - Bailly
Mane - Fraser - Maddison- Hazard
    Auba - Kun

Button - Never- AWB - Kamara

If I had Salah- I would not be excited about trading him out, even though I have confidence in my player Aubameyang

It is basically the question. Will Auba and Mane outscore Salah and Pogba?

Gotta say, I wouldn’t be losing Salah. There no other way to get Auba? I’ve got salah Mane Auba aguero myself, just cheaper 4th mid and def is all

Potential trade sure but it’s unlikely since if Salah does what we expect him to Brighton you probably won’t want to get rid

Play 1: Coleman (bou) or Moura (utd). Thanks.

Unless Coleman is involved in the goals, he could very well be looking at 1 or 0 pts. Moura should be at least guaranteed 2 pts and possibly more likely than Coleman to be involved in an attack so Moura for me

Yeah I’d do it. I have bilva and Fraser myself atm, no Alonso. Going to hold onto bilva for now myself, but if I like the move to get in Alonso.
