Fantasy managers will be heavily reliant on the exploits of their Liverpool assets after a tough start to Gameweek 3.

Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), the most captained player of the weekend, will be the key focal point while Sadio Mané (£9.8m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.5m) should make a difference too.

Salah himself has 54 percent ownership while the other members of his front three are both backed by more than 30 percent.

There will also be hopes for another Liverpool clean sheet with Andrew Robertson (£6.0m), Virgil van Dijk (£6.0m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.0m) in 19, 18 and 16 percent of squads, respectively.

Liverpool are unchanged for a third Premier League match in succession, great news for Fantasy managers currently tripled-up on Jurgen Klopp’s extremely settled side.

Meanwhile, Pascal Groß (£6.9m) was named on the bench as Yves Bissouma (£5.0m) comes into the line-up to play just behind Glenn Murray (£6.5m)

There was one change in defence with Leon Balogun (£4.5m) coming in for Lewis Dunk (£4.5m).

LIVERPOOL XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Robertson, van Dijk, Gomez, Alexander-Arnold; Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita; Mané, Firmino, Salah.

BRIGHTON XI (4-4-1-1): Ryan; Bong, Balogun, Duffy, Montoya; March, Propper, Stephens, Knockaert; Bissouma; Murray

Richarlison red and ban disrupted my plans. Now I have to replace him with 4.5 or 5.0 mid in order to get Salah.

Team for next week will look like this (-4):

    Kepa, Stekelenburg
    Mendy, VVD, Trippier, Luiz, WB
    Salah, Hazard, Fraser, Neves, 5.0
    Mitrovic, Aguero, King

    Thoughts?

Urgh the bonus system is such a joke.

King gets 3 bonus for scoring a pen, but Salah gets 0 for being the most dangerous player on the pitch.

It truly is. You can do nothing all game score a goal and get 3 bonus...see Danny Welbeck....or you can be dangerous all day, by double teamed non stop and lose the ball a couple times, score the only goal of the game and get none. It’s designed to punish aggressive players.

Leading my mini leagues but likely playing my wildcard tonight.. sometimes it is better to do so from a position of strength rather than weakness. Will monitor Hazard / etc. tomorrow but with no CHE/ARS cover and 4-5 medium size issues (Richarlison, Austin, BSilva, Peltier, Begovic/Boruc combo, etc.) it's a move I think will pay off now that we know a few more important pieces of info. I could easily just do two/three -4s or so over the next few weeks... but think it's the better option...

        Begovic* - Boruc*

Van Dijk* - Shaw* - Peltier* - AWB - MENDY

        SALAH - MANE - FRASER - BSilva* - Richarlison*

        AGUERO - Austin* - Kamara*

Players in CAPS (6 players) will likely stay. The remaining 9 will likely go.

Thanks, it's not easy since I can get 8-9 decent players out next week and just do a -4 to get rid of Richarlison / Austin but a clean slate + price rises to Robertson/Walcott and other targets makes it more appetizing. It just means a -4 in the future if things go haywire unexpectedly versus -4 now and saving the wildcard for a rainy day.

Or perhaps make 1-2 transfers this week and play the WC next week during intl break?

            • 16 Years
            7 years, 4 months ago

Also an option but the fixtures are nice for CHE, EVE and ARS this week and I could make some money on a few risers (Robertson, Walcott) this week.

          2. Ibracadabra
            • 16 Years
            7 years, 4 months ago

I think I would do Richarlison + Austin out for a -4 (15.4M to spend) but then I still have Shaw, Van Dijk instead of Robbo or TAA, Bournemouth GKs at Chelsea, and BSilva a rotation threat going into GW4...

            1. Licious Lizard
              • 12 Years

Yeah maybe you should just play it.
I just Think it’s always better to play it over international breaks. Not sure I believe it’s that much better in terms of value, But there are always a couple of injuries.

Tough call. But Theo good price, good fixtures, on form and will have more of the chances with Rich out imo.

Decent, sensible transfer imo going to Theo. Can't go wrong going to Pedro either looks like almost coin flip

Weird day. But on a positive note, today reminded me the best FPL feeling (aside from getting 198 points in a DGW) is a punt paying off. So much clever/good advice on here and Twitter, but nothing like your own thoughts paying off. Had Walcott from the start. Now the third top midfielder, with Huddersfield at home next.

Does this team need a WC?

        Patricio* Hamer*
        Mendy Alonso TAA Tomkins Kabasele
        Salah Mane Dilva Richarlison* Cairney*
        Kun King* Quaner*

Could also look to get in Hazard for Silva and Robbo for TAA

Why get rid of wolves keeper? Cheap and they have nice run of games. They were tightest defence last year by long way in championship

        A) Richi --> Walcott
        B) Richi+auba ---> Hazard + Zaha for a hit

        Chaps,

In the South of France at the moment so no chance for MOTD. Did Neves look decent at all in the early kick off?

        Thanks

Hey guys, is my priority to sell Mahrez or Richarlison? 1 FT and 0 ITB. Thinking Mahrez > Mhiki?

        Hart
        Shaw - Robertson - AWB
        Salah - Rich - Mahrez - Pedro
        Kun - Auba - Ings

        Patricio - Tomkins - Cairney - Bednarek

Redcardison first if you don't want to hit.

Yeah he annoyed me too but I like Jan Hammer's Miami Vice music.

Richarlison getting sent off is probably a good thing, as I had him in GW1, imagine if I transferred in GW3, I'd be fuming. fuming.
Easy out to Walcott and I pocket the £0.1m King's price drop means i need to upgrade him to a £7m striker (with Aguero/Zaha) at some point.
If I do it this week it'll cost me 4pts, as Walcott is done. So...
Plan A - Arnautovic, but the injury worries me, positive is his value might not change unless that flat drops off and he's known fit. Will be though?
Plan B - Tosun, feel a bit concerned with too much toffee in attack, but might be a good move doubling up if most people move Richarlison to Walcott. Ownership is 1/4 of Arnautovic and I want push up the rankings when it seems there's some bandwagons already.
Plan C - Keep 4pts, keep King against Chelsea away in GW3, keep risking being annoyed i "upgraded" pre-season (this week was a fluke). I have Neves as an option, but he offers cover for a rotation for B.Silva.

I'm most concerned about King dropping to £6.3m than Tosun/Arnautovic going up (i think?) and losing choice of Plan A & B.
But do you think I can afford to or should wait a GW before making a move to A or B or spend 4pts now?
        Which Plan?
        Thanks! Good luck.

I didn't have room for Sessegnon in this midfield:

Hazard Salah Mkhi Richarlison Guendouzi. Now I just got the friendful nudge I needed.

Bonus? All the -4 hits or FT wastes of people getting in Richarlison late. 🙂

Only if you plan to use WC, or are prepared to do a -4.

Would rather not do either to be honest. I guess a week is a long time to wait
