The Fantasy Premier League community are scrambling to find a replacement for the suspended Richarlison (£6.7m) for Gameweek 4.

The Everton man was owned by 38 percent of FPL managers ahead of a Gameweek 3 trip to Bournemouth in which he was sent off for violent conduct.

He is set to miss Gameweeks 4 and 5 with a midweek EFL Cup tie able to absorb one of his three-match suspension.

We’ve gone over the numbers to find the best replacement for Richarlison, as we know there is great interest in alternatives.

Fantasy Football Scout members can view the full extent of our research which heavily relies on our Opta data.

We’ve taken a look a whole host of options who largely sit between the £5.0m and £7.1m bracket. While some Fantasy managers may be able to make multiple transfers to replace Richarlison with a more expensive asset, these factors cannot be factored too much into our research. Therefore, this article aims to find the best alternative in a straight-swap, give or take a few decimal point millions.

For example, we have included Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£7.1m) in our comparison, which would be a jump of £0.5m for anyone who bought Richarlison at either his starting season price of £6.5m or £6.6m; £0.4m for any managers who can sell him for £6.7m.

Bernardo Silva (£7.6m) also played a part for anyone holding a little more cash in the bank.

We have also compared the possible candidates against Richarlison’s numbers for the first three Gameweeks, in the hope that we might find an option who can replace him longer term.

Do you think that I need to WC this team

    Ederson Ryan

    VVD Lindelof Tomkins Cook Kasabele

    Salah Sigurdsson Richarlison Moura Jorginho

    Mitrovic Aguero King

I wouldn’t. Richarlison replacement with your FT. Could go Walcott but you have siggy anyway, so maybe Pedro? Don’t like Lindelof but then I don’t own any Man U anyway atm. Rest looks fine to me.

I don't really see the point in getting rid of King. I think his price will go back up, and he offers good value. I assume you bought him at 6.5 so you'd lose 0.1 on him. But I suppose it depends who you plan to replace him with. I assume you used your FT on Walcott, and I think I'd leave the rest alone for this week.

    A) Mkhi.. good fixtures but is he nailed? Arsenal fan forums seem to think he is replaceable and that umeri hasn't decided his best 11 yet
    B) Moura.. poor fixtures but playing alMost as a striker for spurs.. nailed until Richarlison returns and the way he is playing he should start more often than not and could be one of the bargains of the season at his current price.
Which one do u prefer? I can't quite decide between the two. Fancy Moyra just cause he is more nailed for the next 2

    1. Valar(Keith)

Considered Wally.. but I wouldn't want him long term. Mkhi/Moura I could potentially want for the foreseeable though dependant on their performance over the next few

Mikky is much more nailed than Pedro and Moura thats the most important thing.

I will go for Mikki personally.

Is he though? Only 2 out of Ozil, wally and mkhi can play.. and umeri hasn't figured his attack yet

I actually prefer Wally out of the three. Nailed, form, fixtures.
Mkhi second choice. Good fixtures and a lot more nailed long term than Moura, who's also got tough fixtures.

Spurs fixtures are pretty good...ranked 6th in fixtures ticker with only Liverpool as a tough fixture in the next 5. Have Watford, Huddersfield, Brighton and Cardiff.

Brighton Huddersfield and Watford are pretty tough to score against at home.. ok maybe not Watford. Hopefully Moura lasts 5 games(and then the season). Cheers

Both if possible but if not Moura as Arsenal aren’t quite up and running yet

Also think Spurs will finish ahead of Arsenal and they’re both rotation risks

      So on balance Moura

      1. Valar(Keith)

My thoughts exactly.. if Mkhi does turn out to be nailed I don't mind paying the premium for him in a few weeks when arsenal is settled. Short term(and hopefully long) Moura seems a good bet. Cheers all.

Points chasing ? knee jerking ?
See many comments accusing people of chasing last weeks points.
Valid criticism at times but often not . and especially so in these early days.
Many of us have been monitoring players from the outset looking for a spark and when it comes jumping on is hardly a knee jerk , agree ?

    1. Cok3y5murf
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

The spark should be their performance, not their points.

Not that points are completely irrelevant, but their performances are a better predictor of future results. A player that blanked in a week could be a better option than a player who scored that week. The transfers here seem to strongly favor whoever scored in the last week, like Walcott or Moura, ergo points chasing.

      1. FPLGeezer
        • 7 Years
        7 years, 3 months ago

Nearly had Moura from the start went with Mkhi with Son around at the start. Spurs mates felt that Moura would have a good season.

Watched the Fulham game last week and Moura could have had a hat trick and was playing up with and ahead of Kane. He had a great game yesterday too. Now bitten the bullet got him in not chasing points imo if anything Walcott is given his stats.

        1. Debauchy
          • 12 Years
          7 years, 3 months ago

This , was thinking of getting him in earlier too. Now that I have seen him operating in such an advanced position and surely gaining in confidence he's a shoe in
Don't let me down fella .

        2. Cok3y5murf
          • 9 Years

Moura is definitely in form. But I doubt Spurs are. They didn't look good in their first 2 games. United were so bad they made them look good. But fair enough.

Again, I'm not saying Moura or Walcott are bad picks. I'm saying the foundation of transferring them in here seems to mostly be the fact that they just scored. If you considered them even before they scored, you're clearly doing more than just points chasing. Pedro, for instance, is being relatively overlooked because he blanked, even though his stats have been better than Walcott in every game. I doubt it would've been the same if he scored this week.

            • 12 Years

Fair enough. Pedro only overlooked because I have Hazard.
There is surely a different way of looking at it for those on WC vs others looking longer term. We will revisit this again Im sure , cheers

I have looked at Mitro but tbf his fixtures aren't great. Also Robertson is slightly pricey compared to TAA who is 5m and they seem to be getting a few cleansheets. Thanks for the feedback anyway

Hey gang, really need guidance here!

    De Gea (Stekelenburg)
    Robertson Alonso Mendy Wan-Bissaka (Peltier)
    Mane B.Silva Kante (D.Gray, Richarlison)
    Aguero Tosun Firmino

Richarlison's about to go down in price, and De Gea/Firmino/Peltier are certain to as well before the deadline (and possibly Silva/Tosun).

Still have Wildcard, but I missed out on price rises for Moura/Mitrovic/Hazard (potential replacements) already...

If it were your team, would you A) keep faith & just use your 1FT, B) wield your wildcard now, C) take a -4 or a -8 and keep the WC in your back pocket, or D) anything else?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Kroos-Control
      • 8 Years

I would use your WC due to you defence being very expensive and your midfield less so. I say you need a balance between the two. I would drop Robertson and get TAA who is cheap by 1.1m and you take richarlison out. Also De Gea isn't playing great would swap for Ederson. Take Kante And Gray out and get one 7-8m midfielder with a 4.4m midfielder

DSilvz or Mhki + cash... I can’t bloody decide

Arsenal have good fixtures, against Cardiff this week, mhki has looked good, he is cheaper, and I have no other arsenal

Silva looked good vs Huddersfield, Pep loves him so should start, good fixture(s) too, but I also have Aguero Mendy already, he is more expensive than mhki and does he get as many attacking points? Could he maybe not be the assist to the assisted type player?

I think it made sense for Lucas Moura to start against Newcastle as Son is not that much better than him and Moura was going to play going forwards.

Gave him more time to build chemistry with his teammates in a match situation

    3. Valar(Keith)
      • 16 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

Based on the first 3 games I'd say Lucas has made it his spot to lose. Problem is son is fantastic too and will be breathing down his neck in a few weeks.. only 4 of Kane, Eriksen, Alli, Son and Moura can play at a time realistically.. and hence why poeples fear is that Moura will miss out. I'm taking the punt on him though. Swap back to Richarlison in 3 weeks at worst if benched with a couple price rises to boot

      1. Dynamic Duos
        • 12 Years

Well if Pochettino has seen it like us watching the games, then Alli is the one who should be losing his spot .

Eriksen played deeper vs Fulham but that was mainly because of a lack of defensive midfield options... in theory he could play deep to accomodate Alli, Moura and Son in some games but don't expect it to happen often

Do you realise he has only one more chance in January (if they don't get gold now) to get exempted from national service? Didn't say he would replace the player you just transferred in, just that it was an unnecessary risk at Newcastle a few days before international duty

    Thoughts on this?
    (I'm happy to play 442/433)

    A) Tomkins>Tarkowski
    B) Tosun>Mitro
    C) Strategy to upgrade Ralls?

    Pickford Stekelenburg
    Mendy Robertson Alonso Tomkins Peltier
    Ralls Mane Salah Mkhi Stephens
    King Aguero Tosun

    £0.5 & 1FT.

      Not a fan tbh...
Gks are okay for now but will see next 2 gws

I'd go with AWB or PVA over tomkins

Ralls and Stephens are 2 poor mids, id try go for 1 bad just for bench... maybe downgrade mane for money as you have salah.

Strikers are poor imo, maybe give tosun these next 2 weeks due to nice fixtures but id be looking to ship him and maybe king

Cheers TS, it's not a WC team so GKs set in and think they'll be fine.
Premium defense, so obviously forward line suffers. But outscoring them anyway.
Had been considering PVA for absolutely ages! Just think Burnley have better fixtures but jury's out.
Maybe Tosun>Mitro this week and upgrade Ralls next

Id wait on Tosun as everton have 2 nice fixtures... hence why gks should be fine.

Honestly consider getting rid of Mane as you have Salah for Liverpool cover as of now and maybe get in Pedro to free up some money... then upgrade ralls and or stephens

Thanks TS, yeah tough to lose Tosun prior to easy fixture. Mane highest point yielder in Midfield. Will look at Ralls>Cairny or Tomkins>Tarkowski I think. Mitro next week

Can you believe I WC’d to this team for GW2 😆

    Hamer*
    Mendy Davies TAA
    Salah(v) Sterling(c) Maddison Richarlison**
    Aubameyang Arnautovic* Zaha

    Hart AWB Peltier Stephens

I’m trapped by players like Auba and Sterling having good fixtures and Richarlison is the priority.
I could do Auba and Sterling to Hazard and Aguero but I can see me getting punished afterwards. I’ve held this long I guess I might as well stick it out

I'd bench Rich, only missing 2 games and AWB + Stephens fine for those 2. I'd do Auba Sterling to Haz Aguero, great moves

Hi guys hows this for a wc team? my team is

    Mccarthy hamer

    Alonso Mendy Taa Bennett Wan-bis

    Salah Hazard Mikhity Walcott Nelson

    Aguero Mitrovic Zaha

    0.0 itb

    Thanks!  🙂

Would get a better gk, maybe hennesy or something

      Defence looks solid

Like the midfield, ive done same with 5th midfielder just cheap for bench... but will look to bring cairney in as hes cheap and plays...

      Strikers look good.

Maybe due to fixtures id be tempted to downgrade mitro to jimenez so you can bring in a slightly better gk or midfielder?

Stephens might have dropped to 4.4m by the weekend so you can get Nelson out of there.

Trippier is flagged with a knock, is it a genuine concern or likely to be in the XI this weekend?

    1. F_Ivanovic
      • 10 Years

Most players flagged with a knock tend to make the weekend fixture if they are an integral part of the squad and rotation isn't currently needed (ie. no mid-week fixtures)

Especially with an international break coming up I expect Trippier to start.

I made a huge mistake because I waited to long to do the Richarlison -> Walcott transfer. Now I can not afford Walcott because he is 6.7.

The only player I really want is Zaha. Would mean 2 transfers and a minus 8. Not worth it I guess ?

    Fabbianski

    Alonso - Mendy - Robertson ( AWB, Bednarek )

    Salah - Hazard - Mkhitaryan - Walcott ( Stephens )

    Aguero - Mitrovic - Ings
