Scarred by the resting of City duo Sergio Aguero and David Silva, Gameweek 27 will go down as one of the key periods in the Fantasy season as vice captains kicked in to gift or rob Fantasy managers of spoils. Sunday’s events didn’t fail to add their own twists with red cards, missed penalties and the return to form of Clint Demspey alongside the extraordinary contribution of Pavel Pogrebnyak.

    Guys, got 2 FT - do you think it's worth a 4-pointer to do Aguero, Sessegnon and Huth to Suarez, Young and Skrtel? Could alternatively get in Rooney but then would only have 7.5 to replace Sess.

      City can afford many things, but losing now in the season is not one of them.

      He was nailed on before injury and I got him in, But tbf De Gea has improved and SAF has talked him up. DG now nailed on mate.

      well when he was at zenit he was one of the most sought after strikers, he ended up going to stuttgart to replace mario gomez. His form was poor there as he didn't fit in well there.

      He has come to england and has hit the floor running, continuing his form in russia.

      I remember him going to newcastle in my football manager 2009 game, he was unbelievable, I think 30 goals a season striker, that's where I first heard of him

      His career average is approx 1 every 3 games. Pretty decent.

      He leads the line well for Fulham. Also, they have great home fixtures so if you can find someone to rotate him with (McClean?) then that'll leave you plenty of funds elsewhere. Might be a few heartbreaking weeks where Pog scores away from home though.

    If you were to sell Aguero for any other striker other than Rooney (and Suarez) who would it be?
    Preferably someone in form (like Pogrebnyak) or some one from a team who is about to hit or has a decent run of fixtures.

      I've seen a few of your posts re. Senderos, Dynamic, and I have to say that I think he is back to the starting 11. Looked solid today, while Hughes was great at RB.

      Kelly was injured, who had previously been nailed down at RB.

      Hughes replaced Senderos in the middle for a few games, then played out on the right today I think, not sure who is first choice tbh.

      As a Kelly owner I'm hoping either Senderos or Hues gets dropped, but after the game vs Man City Senderos lost favour as he played awfully, he could be back, but Hughes was first choice last season

    HA HA HA - my post from yesterday. Zero captain points and only 10 players from my 15.

    am i simplifying things by suggesting that Dempsey has been playing deeper and therefore has reduced point scoring oportunities since pogrebnyak joined? While he was an OOP midfielder he was a bargain but i’m not so sure now.

      This is why I VC captained dempsey and captained Yak. Pogrebnyak would make him less effective as he is only playing on the left..
      I did not think it through more and realise that he was up against stephen ward, a converted striker who plays full back, and plays like a winger. He can't defend as well as he can attack.
      I am Irish I should know this, but it did not occur to me.
