Scarred by the resting of City duo Sergio Aguero and David Silva, Gameweek 27 will go down as one of the key periods in the Fantasy season as vice captains kicked in to gift or rob Fantasy managers of spoils. Sunday’s events didn’t fail to add their own twists with red cards, missed penalties and the return to form of Clint Demspey alongside the extraordinary contribution of Pavel Pogrebnyak.

Our members can now pick through all the statistics from the Gameweek and, as always, we’ve picked out some eye-catching numbers to digest. Of course, we’ve also included our prediction of where the Fantasy Premier League bonus will go…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Okay, amde 3 transfers for a 4 point hit, here's hoe it looks for GW28:

    Vorm

    Enrique, Kompany, Cahill

    McClean, Pilkington, Bale, Silva

    Pob, Rooney, RvP

    Krul, Shawcross, Walters, Simpson

    Correct lineup?

Arteta was stretchered off against Liverpool. If you want to steer clear of Drenthe there are plenty of better options in that price range

My uncle is the physio at Arsenal and he assures me that Arteta is fit and will play next week. Apparently, he was playing lazer quest and is currently fine.

When he does come back, what happens to Young? Will Nani, Young and Valencia all play in the starting 11? Or will u see Valencia on the bench or playing at the back?

Reason I ask is that I am considering either Nani or Young, and Young is cheaper, But if Young finds his way back to the bench when Valencia returns I will consider a diff alternative to get Nani in.

I hate to repost but I could really do with some feedback guys:

I already have GJohnson for the DGW so on top of that, would you have:

    A) Enrique (DGW) & Rooney (WBA) (4 point hit)
    B) Vermaelen (NEW) & Adebayor (eve) (No hit)

Bearing in mind its a strong possibility I’ll want Rooney in at a later date, by which time his price will have risen, in all likelihood.

    Thanks

Im in exactly the same boat as you , i looked at Holt / Suarez , then decided Suarez better

So looked at Van Persie Suarez Holt With Young AND Nani in midfield Its all very confusing.

If it wasnt for Libverpools double it would be much easier , but not prepared to simply ignore it

Exactly the same. Even though he's a ratfaced slimy character, the guy has talent. He danced through the Arsenal defence and always looks Pools most threatening player, it's a punt worth taking, give him 3-4 weeks and if he is pants just swap for Ade.

Triggerlips i kno it must be hard to take that Oxlade is in a critical condition, and that Walcott cant tell the difference between his dick and his thumb. Also, Gervinho's massive forhead saved him from a severe concussion. Ryo is the coming back to arsenal and with their current form, Arteta and Ryo are coming in for a double transfer.

Im still not sold on Pog , nothing worse than buying a player AFTER his hattrick . Looked at his stats in the bundersleagu and he not exactly prolific.
Wolves played like a third division team , wont find anything nearly that easy again.

Better off looking for a cheap striker BEFORE they play Wolves

I fancy taking a gamble on Suarez for sun/EVE, qpr, WIG and will probably then bring Adebayor in for GW31. I really would like Rooney in there, but it would mean decimating my team.

Think Bale's going to disappoint over the rest of the season.

Chelsea might pick up now AVB has gone. I need differentials now anyway.

Don't keep Mata, you don't know what Chelsea will be like without a manager.

Ok they can't be much worse, but Mata won't necessarily bring in the points, they just have Di Matteo who was already there, downgrade Mata first

Can we have a wildcard discussion .

Demseys goals today have put me in a dilema , i was half hoping he did nothing , as was going to kick him out for Nani / young (young probably)
However now im thinking its too risky to lose him , especially as they still have good fixtures.

Only other route is to lose Bale instead , and im really torn on this one , part of me says that with Saha in the side Bale is no longer as prolific points wise . Other part of me is scared to lose him.

Is Rooney enough Man u coverage? I never seem to have much luck with Rooney , i normally get him for times like this , and as often as not Wellbeck , Hernandez or Berbatov steals the show

    Very confused

My thinking as well on Bale. Think he's going to flounder, FPL wise now Saha is there.

Rooney and Man Utd def is plenty imo.

My theory on Rooney is that he always does better against the good teams , look at his recent scores against Liverpool , Chelsea and Toottenham , then when the easy games come along hes often a bit of a passenger .
The opposite is the case with Nani , he scores big against the easy sides.

Im half tempted to lose Rooney for Holt and put Nani AND Young in midfield

Three Utd players are (almost) a must in ones humble view. Rooney, Valencia (if fit shortly) & Evans/Jones.

This is traditionally the stage of the season when Utd turn the screw & come into title winning form.

Bale out Dempsey in, isn't as radical as some might have you believe.

      Great rank by the way.
I would like to drop bale but brought him in at 9m and would struggle to bring him back in if he starts scoring big again, and i would also bring in Nani or Young but fergies rotation has bit me far too many times.
Rooney is always gonna start if fit.
My feeling on Rooney is that he will score big on the run in............But thats only my opinion.

Thx , gradually sneaking up there , will be hard pressed to beat last seasons position though.

Positive view on Rooney is that now the mnidfielders are coming back , Rooney can concentrate more on his attacking abilities , also at the start of the season he scored a lot of goals when young was providing the ammunition. I think those two might be dynamite.

Im coming round to the idea of losing Bale , then when tottenhams easy games begin , bring in adebyour and kick Suarez out , then i should be ok for tottenham

Personally I think Dempsey is a must have - he is just such a massive goal threat for a midfielder.

Bale - I got rid a couple of weeks ago, but I would be looking to get him back in from GW31 onwards. If you got him cheap I'd probably keep him, otherwise perhaps worth look at getting rid until TOT's fixtures improve.

Rooney - my biggest dilemma. I had him for about 5 games this season and got horribly burnt. On form and fixtures he should be one of the first names on the teamsheet, but his cost decimates your squad and there is the worry that Fergie may rest him for occassional 'easy' games to give Berba and co a run. At the moment he's out for me with JEvans and Nani being my MUN coverage...

Its a dilema alright , and its doing my head in , not sure i would want to rely just on Nani. The other problem is there are going to be a couple of weeks coming up where Rooney will doinate the captains poll , and to be without him then is scary , especially if you a high rank to protect

Is it actually worth getting rid of Valencia for a hit?

He might even play this week, but I don't like holding players while their price is in free fall :/

But I'll probably take a hit this week anyway so it would add up to -8.

But if I don't I'll be playing McClean against Liverpool defence, damn my decision making, always pick the wrong 50-50 call 😛

McClean is an excellent cheap fifth midfielder to own. Not a bad player to bench.

Valencia will be back for the Wolves game? That is tempting, I guess I can manage without him.
Though this week I only had 8 players that played atall, and two of them were goalkeepers, so 3 subs is useful.

Though if I'm shipping 2 city rotation is less of an issue.

What are you keepers like this week, Linde out and Vorm home to city?
At least he should get some save points, but can still see them getting spanked

I don't think Rooney is necessarily a no brainier against WBA either.

      No Rooney, no hit.

Not a bad idea, it's that or Suarez really, and he's not entirely convincing as an FPL prospect..

It's two tough games, but Sunderland and Everton's offences aren't great, it's worth a punt
