Romelu Lukaku has the potential to complicate the plans of Fantasy Premier League managers in the coming weeks.

That’s because the Manchester United forward appears to be back to his best ahead of a run of favourable fixtures.

The Belgian’s underlying numbers have yielded three goals in as many matches so far in 2018/19, and five bonus points to boot.

When he was in form at the start of last season his ownership peaked at 60.2 percent in October, with his price at the time £0.8m higher than it is now.

So we’ve had a look at whether he’s worth including in our Fantasy squads again, especially considering he is backed by just 7.5 percent ahead of Gameweek 5.

Fantasy Football Scout members can read ahead, and also pour over Lukaku’s data in the Members Area.

No Salah on WC? Starting to have second thoughts 🙁

    This is how i'm shaping up for GW5... As a Spurs fan, I don't know how I've got myself into a situation where I have zero Spurs and 3 Liv against my beloved club. But hey... So I ask;

1). Worth switching Salah to Haz?
2). Shall I crowbar Alonso in somehow?
    -----------------------------------------
    Foster
    Mendy - Robertson - AWB
    Salah - Mane - Mkhi - Theo(i)
    Kun - Zaha(i) - King
    --------------------------------------
    Subs: Fab; Neves, Bennett, A.Smith.

    * now, I will wait until the latest possible time before deciding on what to do with Zaha & Theo, but if needs must, my two Wolves players can come off the bench.

    Advice greatly appreciated,
For those of you still reading, thank you 🙂

Amazing Troy Deeney isn't in more wildcard teams.

Joint with Aguero for shots on target + big chances

Amazing run of 16 games coming up soon post arsenal gw7

Do you think Robertson will be rested for some games with Champions League? Moreno could easily play some games...

Would Shaw be a better option at the moment?

Also Lukaku is a lure but only way of getting him in is to swap for Aguero...

If holding the CL full backs you definitely need a good bench.

I've planned for this and only hold their Centre backs though even Laporte gives me a little cause for concern.

Fantasy Football Scout Daily Hot Topic

What are you looking at doing with Arsenal assets, and why?

With quite a few options to choose from across the side, Emery has already surprised us by resting a few players. Who are you looking at bringing in and who are you looking at selling?

If you are on a wildcard, or if you were on a wildcard, what would your Arsenal plan be?

Are any of the defence real options? Who is your top pick and why? Is Cech too much of a worry to go with? Midfield looks full of options - are you looking at Mkhi or Ramsey?

And what about up front? Have you seen enough from Lacazette or Aubameyang to bring them into your squad?

I agree. If I was binging in anyone, it would be him, especially if he starts again next week. He’s in my plans for sure if I see him playing regularly. So much better value than Auba.

I agree with this but I wonder if there are some politics involved across the team. Lacazette plays well when he comes on yet doesn't seem to start. It also seems like there is pressure to play Ozil and Cech and neither makes sense. Emery says he wants a pressing game and clearly Ozil is not the player for that (although Mkhi isn't either arguably although he did play in a Dortmund team that did this). Ditto Cech. Arsenal spent 20 million on a keeper which I know isn't Allison or Kepa money but it still something like the eighth highest amount spent on a keeper and he's apparently good with his feet. Emery says he wants a ball playing keeper but persists with Cech who looks like a fish out of water. It's not his game. So why play him unless there is some kind of pressure from elsewhere to play Cech?

The reason I have Lukaku is he good enough to be Auba alongside Aguero if needed.

Auba is the most nailed attacking player.

On WC. Going with no Arsenal.

The defense is shipping goals for fun. Cech is shaky and they probably won't look good till Koscielny returns.

Ozil is far too inconsistent. Ramsey/mkhi?iwobi are rotation risks with EL coming soon.

Auba too expensive for a LW player and chances of early sub. Prefer a niled on Lukaku who's in form at that price.

Only interesting option is Lacazette at his price but need to see more of him before I commit. And, again the EL may mean rotation between him and Auba.

      Steering well clear atm.

Emery hasn’t rested players, he just doesn’t know his best eleven yet.

I’m on wildcard and previously had Auba but I’ve dumped him. It wasn’t easy as he is a player I really like, he’s finally got a goal and has great fixtures. But there are just too many better alternatives at his price at this point in time.

To me the defence is a no go. The only reason I’d consider an Arsenal asset would be their attack because they are going to have to score plenty of goals to make up for their poor defence.

Had auba since the beginning but shipped him for Lacazette this week, link up play between the both of them looked very good. Aubamayeng hasn't been getting into the positions you'd want a 11m forward to get into tbh.

Defense is pretty much a no go and as long as torreira is benched for xhaka, you can't expect much from the team either from what I've seen.

Lacazette is the front-runner for me in GW6 if he starts and performs at Newcastle. Emery can't leave someone out if they're performing - simple as that. Needs to keep getting results on the board.

A good price for a forward in an attacking team with those strong fixtures, and is an easy move to Vardy if it doesn't work out, so for team structure he's ideal as well.

Ozil & Auba are too expensive at the moment in my book. Ramsey is worth considering but Moura, Maddison and Richarlison from GW6 look like they could be better options in that price bracket.

Not considering defence or GKs at all. Way better options out there.

Nothing really jumping out at me just yet, but a bunch of them have potential to be good.

Laca could be an explosive punt if he gets some good minutes, but there's a lot of uncertainty around him. Auba was someone I thought would have a golden season, but has struggled to hit top form. Until he shows signs on hauling, I'll go Kun over him easily.
Midfield looks both uncertain and mediocre. Mkhi and Ramsey look good value if they keep playing and scoring good returns. Guendouzi is intriguing at 4.5, but has a lot of competition and is still young, plus hasn't looked threatening.
Defence was tempting, but I won't pay premium for a defender if they can't keep a clean sheet. Monreal and Bellerin both nicely attacking though, so they could be tempting in the future - if they tighten up.

On a WC and definitely not holding any Arsenal player.
at the start I had Ozil later switched to Mkhi and now want to monitor them first before signing anyone else.

I like Ramsey if he can make no.10 role his own, rest Auba is too expensive to be playing on Wing and Laca can come good but seems like Emery has a bigger problem to accommodate everyone.

Better wait & watch with Arsenal.

I'm on a WC and i brought Lacazette. There are many reasons imo to bring him in.
Since they leak goals for fun, they have to attack full 90'.
They played their first full game together and I think they'll continue that way.
If you are waiting to see his minutes, i think you are gonna miss all the points in this 2 games, then everyone will have him after Everton game. The time to own him is now imo.

Got mhkitaryan at the moment. He's obviously a rotation threat so probably looking to get rid. Ramsey may tempt me as he looks a more secure starter. Or alternatively may downgrade to Fraser to get funds for Alonso.

Lacazette looks a good option but I've no way of fitting him in without major surgery.

Defence a no go area. They may get a few goals but clean sheets will be few and far between.

Brought Laca in this week on a WC. Has form and fixtures, and after his performance against Cardiff surely he'll get his start. Don't see him being as much of a risk as many seem to be making out here.

I have Mhki, and had been enjoying watching his link up play with Bellerin develop. I think he will be back in next match since he seems like their best option on the right. If not, I will need to rethink options. Could go up to Dilva but not sure if it is worth the extra cash. GW5 will definitely be one where I am watching both Arsenal and MC closely.

Currently punting on Monreal on my WC.
      - Proven FPL track record
      - Attacking threat: assists and goals.
      - Good fixtures
      - Differential
      - No champions league to contend with.
      - Arsenal have had 13 clean sheets each of the last 2 seasons, which isn't a bad return. They are playing a new system and had 2 very tough opening fixtures. I think their CS potential is slightly better than most people seem to think.

I agree that their defence has looked out of sorts so far. Still, I'm interested in Bellerin for that price (5,4) with such a nice program. I have a feeling that they historically have delivered CS very frequently against weaker sides, and especially at home. Last season they kept a CS at home to: WBA, Burnley, Bournemouth, Spurs, Huddersfield, Newcastle, Watford, Stoke. Away they kept CS vs: Burnley, Huddersfield, West Ham and Chelsea. In such a poor season, I think that's encouraging, especially given Bellerin's attacking potential, and I will be monitoring him/them away to Newcastle.
