Fantasy Football Scout are pleased to announce the very first episode of Meet the Manager, where we interview Fantasy managers with a superb track record over their career.

Over the season we’ll find out from them what it takes to get a top finish in the game, explore their key strategies for success and also gain some valuable tips on tackling the current campaign.

To kick off the series I was joined earlier today by Nick, who is better known within the Fantasy Football Scout community as Triggerlips.

Over his 11-year career, he has finished in the top 1,000 an impressive four times, including 2012/13’s finish of 35th. Indeed across his last nine campaigns, he has only finished outside the top 50,000 twice.

Paying close attention to team structure and balanced distribution of funds is among the nuggets of advice that New Zealand-based Nick serves up.

He also reveals the importance of accumulating wealth early on and making sure the vast array of Fantasy advice on social media is treated with caution.

And while he is taking a patient approach with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this season he is “not liking the look of (Mohamed) Salah one little bit”.

  No, its only the bench thats weakish. 2 Xfers needed to fix the starting 11 Arnie + kenedy/costa out theres an array of good cheap strikers available Zaha, Wilson, Mitrovic ect which can allow a small upgrade in midfield to Maddison or Richarlison?

  Richarlison will be interesting. I was wrong to write him off and not bring in at start but first trade after gw1. His goal conversion under Silva at Watford was 7% and currently 60% and 100% goals from shots on target so surely due regression

        Which is why I was going Pogba, Laca/Ozil. I think the team above is more or less fixture proof. Going Shaw/Aguero instead of Laporte & Laca from the first post leaves 1M itb still to upgrade players like Wilson/Arnie/Fraser/Bennett if needed.
        Can also then chop players like Alonso/Robbo who may outstay their welcome for their value.

1. Not taking a hit to get an in form player that goes on to haul (and missing out on subsequent price rises with your current player dropping)?
Or
2. Getting rid of one of your players and then they go on to haul (they rise and your new player falls)?

I'm guessing most will pick 1 but I get depressed/frustrated when 2 happens to me!
