Fantasy Football Scout are pleased to announce the very first episode of Meet the Manager, where we interview Fantasy managers with a superb track record over their career.

Over the season we’ll find out from them what it takes to get a top finish in the game, explore their key strategies for success and also gain some valuable tips on tackling the current campaign.

To kick off the series I was joined earlier today by Nick, who is better known within the Fantasy Football Scout community as Triggerlips.

Over his 11-year career, he has finished in the top 1,000 an impressive four times, including 2012/13’s finish of 35th. Indeed across his last nine campaigns, he has only finished outside the top 50,000 twice.

Paying close attention to team structure and balanced distribution of funds is among the nuggets of advice that New Zealand-based Nick serves up.

He also reveals the importance of accumulating wealth early on and making sure the vast array of Fantasy advice on social media is treated with caution.

And while he is taking a patient approach with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this season he is “not liking the look of (Mohamed) Salah one little bit”.

I think Pep is a genius playing Bernado with David so he can get real life pitch time with his protege. (learning on the job)
I retract my statements from early on in the season when comparing him to a glorified Navas. I was wrong.

Hope he doesn't ease David out too much as he still oozes class and he's a season keeper for me.

  Bernardo Silva is the opposite to Navas; he doesn't have any pace!
  
  I can see him becoming an excellent CAM in the next couple of years. Pep probably has concerns over his work rate to trust him in the middle until he needs to chase games.

      Man City really missed KdB tonight. There wasn't any dynamism or bravery from the middle. If Dilva's a touch off form then they struggle.

        When Pep put his City team together it was David Silva that he pointed at as "that's the way I want you to play"...KDB may be the better player (ish) but it's Silva that sets the style and tempo...and yes...they need a brave and dynamic player next to him in KDB...and the better FPL pick....

        Also just feel Ricky will be gold in a few weeks rather Tay Fraser.
        The scoutcast also suggested that the Arsenal right side of defence looks very vulnerable.

  GK - could save money with Ederson + 4m
  Def - looks fine. TAA potential alternative to Robertson
  Mids - Moura has form, but rotation risk. Maybe slight additional concern if Poch reverts to Kane up front as in CL before Moura came one (and in Moura's first PL season game I think). Haven't looked at Pogba's numbers tbh
  Fwds - Arnie can score against anyone but still not sure I'd have him with upcoming fixtures.

      Moura - yep looks fine for this week, just thinking longer term esp when Alli's back. Reading through their forums Moura's very popular, but a lot of angst about team setup which is why I mentioned formation.
      Also a hammer but perhaps more pragmatic...

      If you like your GKs don't let me or others change your mind.
      
      But... yes if I had Ederson I'd play him every game & get a 4m filler. Robertson certainly the better pick but TAA is improving from what I've seen and good value for the price so far (disclaimer - have TAA & rotation isn't an impossibility). Think Fraser's one for now and Knockaert one for the future given form/fixtures. Firmino - not sure in terms of value as I'm not sure about Liverpool's attacking 3 right now. They just haven't looked right as a trio.

        Sod it, I'll go without Liverpool front line currently. I mean Robbo is lethal enough for me. If I have to swap so be it. Will be hot on the trigger with Fraser to Knockhart. I swear if Wilson and Haz burn me again like the did past two seasons I'll cry!

  Have been genuinely surprised how much pitch time Milner has had so far. I know he's the model professional and must be a real pain to play against as he never gives anything up as a lost cause, but thought Klopp might go with more technically capable players he has at his disposal.

        I would have to disagree with that. Imo he is not lacking in the technical area at all, he used to play more offensive roles and he would do great. And his asisst record, don't think a techinically bad player would ever match it.

        Beckham wasn't great technically, but he could deliver a cross. When I say Milner isn't great technically, I mean he doesn't have great feet. If he did, he'd be the complete player.

Made the mistake of doubling up Jesus w Aguero, time to get rid of GJ. Have enough to afford any striker bar Kane, thinking of narrowing it down between Vardy and Laca. Don’t want to spend 11 on Lukaku next to Aguero. Thoughts?
