It’s not been the greatest of gameweeks so far, has it? With a couple of clashes still to go, many of us will be keeping a keen eye on tomorrow night’s events at the Emirates, with the hopes of many a Fantasy manager pinned firmly on the shoulders of Robin Van Persie.

For now, though, our members can now pick through all the statistics from the Gameweek and, once again, we’ve picked out some eye-catching numbers to digest. As usual, we’ve also included our prediction of where the Fantasy Premier League bonus will go…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Do you think I can save a transfer next week?

    Krul(NOR)
    Skrtel(qpr), Evans(wol), Kelly(SWA)
    Silva(CHE), Bale(STO), Valencia(wol), Moses(WBA)
    RVP(eve), Rooney(V)(wol), Ba(C)(NOR)

    Subs: Senderos(SWA), Williamson(NOR), Sigurdsson(ful), Sorensen.

Ba captain is brave IMO. I like your team a lot. If Valencia isn't fir u have sufficient sub so 2 frees next week looks handy. If everything goes by the plan I am planning to keep it too.

P.S. I have Siggy on t bench too, aren't we making a mistake maybe?

I don't think Swansea are that threatening going forward when they are away from home unless they are against a poor side.

never doubt Swansea! Ba next week when you have Rooney or RVP? that's not brave, its unnecessary. Norwich is no pushover.

I said if they are against a poor side then it doesn't make a difference but I consider Fulham to be a strong side at the moment and I think that Swansea will struggle.

How likely is United rotation following the Bilbao game? I’m itching to get Rooney and Young in but would be well and truly screwed if they don’t end up playing vs Wolves. Do you think Valencia will be a better option?

I think Fergie will go for it. He admitted that he needed Rio for the home game. Full squad IMO, Rooney plays and one of Chicha or Welbeck. Welbeck more probably cause he was subbed. Valencia or Giggs could earn starts too. Scholes should/ could be rested. My bet: Rooney plays, Young is impact sub or starts 50:50

    First ever post!

    Please RMT for next weekend:

    Vorm (Mignolet)

    Simpson BAE JEvans (Senderos, Taylor)

Siggy, Young, Bale (vc) Demps (McClean)

    Rooney (C), RVP, Ba

Took a 4 point hit to bring in Young before the rise...part of a pattern of serial hits lately, but this is the last one!

Yeah, that's my main doubt. I have a slender lead in my mini league and my opponent will definitely captain RVP. Could do the same and hold my lead or go with Rooney and put the boot in (or not!)...decisions, decisions.

I think I'll give RVP the VC armband though. Thanks!

Mark on wildcard. Looks like he can't make up his mind. So to all those looking for expensive mid this could give u the answer:

    09 Mar 23:19 Walcott Mata 28
    09 Mar 22:45 Mata Walcott 28

He wanted to go different IMO, he already had Rooney for Utd cover and thought about Mata set pieces. Also Walcott injury doubt made him to go for the Che lad, He has RVP upfront too. He made probably the right call. Although Young got him more points and Walcott could explode too. I don't see value in any of them personally

Actually I made a large post to reply on it but something with the server and didn't go throw. In short: VDV on his days, Lamps and SIlva (Bale and Demps excluded). But I see more value in cheaper alternatives and more cash in defense and upfront. The main differentials are gonna be in defense IMO. The CS's are back

I really am undecided on Nani, not sure whether he'll start etc.

I think i'll hold ou then consider my options, I don't want a injury to any of our wingers, but I hope there is a way they could all play, maybe Tony V Right-Back, but Fergie knows Tony V is better than that.

Not as easy as they sound , all those teams will be in desperation mode , and are realistically threatened with relegation .

The easy matches (if there are any) will be against sides which are safe from relegation , but have nothing to play for , maybe Newcastle only one that might fall into that category

I'm just staying far far away from Chelsea. Not only are they playing poor, its about impossible to count on a starting lineup. Mata will usually start, but he is way to pricey for what you get for him, imo.

Yes, Silva is not scoring like he used to, but you gotta have him. If city improves greatly, he'll be the reason.

    Rooney, RVP, Ba

Well I am not probably the right person to say it (was promoting selling Silva for a month or so http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2012/02/04/the-knee-jerk-robin-red-faced/comment-page-13/#comment-2685465) but I think that he always produce in the big games. I see potential profit for Silva in that game.

That's what worries me but he's been poor at returning the points lately. Dempsey has meanwhile, better form and relatively nicer fixtures.

Would only lose 0.1 too, just the fact those in my ML will likely keep him and he could (I feel unlikely but potentially...) explode back to his scoring ways.

Difficult. Would allow me to wait 2GWs after to downgrade a defender to someone like Caulker and get the likes of Valencia in though.

    Sorry for the Repost........

With Silva dropping in form and becoming less of a fantasy must have here are some to consider.....
Chelsea- Frank Lampard remains Chelsea's highest scoring midfielder with 1 point more than fellow Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata. Lampard has played only 1785 minutes compared to Mata's 2024 and in those 1785 minutes Lampard has notched up 10 goals and 5 assists, meanwhile Mata has the opposite with 5 goals and 10 assists. Lampard has also hit double figures 5 times, with Mata only managing three. Lampard has mainly racked up the points against lower oppostition including a hat-trick and and all three bonus points at the Reebok in which he contributed 20 points. But Lampard's position in Roberto Di Matteo's side is unclear, despite playing the full 90 minutes in the past four BPL games where as Juan Mata has featured in every Chelsea game so far this season, most recently as a first half substitute in the 1-0 win against Stoke at Stamford Bridge.

Man United- With Antonio Valencia set to come back into the frame there is some uncertaincy over the two wing spots in the United Midfield. The first candidate is Nani, who has had a stop start season but has still been delivering the good for United. He has been on the scoresheet 6 times and picked up 10 assist along the way to 133 FPL points in 1867 minutes of Premier League football. The second alternative is Englishman Ashley Young. The former Villa man made a great start to the season with 33 points in the first 3 games, mainly down to a big 23 point haul in the 8-2 hammering of Arsenal at Old Trafford. but since then his season has has been hit with injuries but he did catch the eye with a brace in the 3-1 win at White Hart Lane. The cheaper alternative is Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia who has been more consistant than the two, only failing to score more than two points five times, most of those as a sub or at right-back. He did have an excellent run between GW15 and GW25 in which he delivered 2 goals and 10 assists.

    ----------Minutes Played-------PPG(90 mins)
    Nani----------1867------------------6.7pts------
    Young--------1119------------------6.8pts------
    Valencia-----1303------------------5.9pts------

I saw this post before and its very interesting. Lampard is still too expensive IMO however if he is assured of starts I would definitely consider him. In terms of the United wingers we can't really predict anything till all three are available then we can see how SAF employs them. I thought Jones had a good game today at RB so I can't see him being easily dropped for Valencia.

Thanks a lot, I sold Silva ages ago for Siggy. He brought me more points than Silva for less money. I think going cheaper is the way forward. I have wonderful memories in owning Lamps near the end of the seasons in the past so he would be my pick. If I make budget wise decision than valencia is the lad to go.

P.S. I can't believe how good the Utd fixtures are

To be fair, there is one more game for him, and he could still come good.

That said, he is a horrible fantasy prospect and I have no idea why people bought him in the first place.

Can't wait to get Jevans next week, hopefully. Losing way too much ground without him.
