Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce the dates of our Fantasy Premier League Cup competitions for the 2018/19 campaign.

We are launching our 16th open-to-all tournament, along with a ninth competition for Members. Both tournaments have £300 in prizes on offer.

Sign-up for the open tournament can be found here.

Members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris, A Manager Has No Name, Sleepysi, TH14 and our reigning champion 2EyedTurk.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

In our Members Cup, our list of winners is as follows:

Waltzingmatildas, Fuzzy Dunlop, Kippax Kickers Acquafresca, Trigg Ola Svanheld, Malaikat Jahad and the current champion rrcmc.

Again, those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of the Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How do the Cup Competitions Work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 12, with the first round proper running in Gameweek 13.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday November 12, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

The qualifying round for the Members Cup will take place week later in Gameweek 13, with the first round running in Gameweek 14.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday November 26, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

Enter the FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Members and you will need to log into the Members’ area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team ID at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

Your entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team ID as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

The Members FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team ID?

Your FPL ID is your unique ID for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right-hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL ID field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after November 12 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Results from the Members Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after November 26 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

We ask you to supply a Fantasy Football Scout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament.

Ideally, you will already have a username with us, but this is not essential to enter.

You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles.

You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament. Should you do so without permission, should you enter multiple teams, or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament at any stage.

Sterling out Mahrez in is not wise, right? Even if that allows me to keep Trippier (I am thinking of taking Trippier out and Balbuena in, in order to have funds to bring Kun in)

Interesting mate. Did not think about that.

Trippier and Maddison out // Balbuena and Mahrez in think is good?

My mid would be Mane, Hazard, Sterling, Mahrez and Richarlison

Cannot do it, as I have 0.0 in the bank...

I am thinking of Laca and Trippier out // Balbuena and Kun in (no hit)

            But still considering other alternatives...

      I’d do A.
Interesting you’ve doubled up on West Ham defence. What were your thoughts behind this? I was thinking of maybe getting Balbuena for TAA this week but in gw 15 i’d probs want to get Fabs in and I wasn’t sure on the double up.

Wham assets rotate well with Wolves assets. But when i picked 2 players from Wolves(Pat,Doh) and 2 from Wham(Fab,Bal) on my wc in gw9,i also believed that they have higher chances from other teams for cs.We'll see.He is a good pick.

Honestly i think having either Fab or Pat as a set and forget keeper is more than enough, but theyre both cheap so w/e. Just think youre gonna leave points on the bench quite a bit. I dont think Kenedy or Richarlison offers better or even as good value as some of the similar priced forwards, but to each his own. Atleast youre going with whatever you want.

Thanks.I decided on my wc in gw9 that i don't like or want a set and forget cheap gk.Until 21 where i could wc(Probably i won't) the fixtures i would start Patricio are (9,10,13,14,17,19,21) and the fixtures i would start Fab are(11,12,,15,16,18,20).6 possible cs are enough for me to rotate my gk.I brought Kenedy to also rotate with Richarlison.

Think I'm gonna start working my team towards a 3-5-2 with no premium strikers, they're just not proving their worth this season.

    Fabianski
    Alonso Mendy Robertson
    Salah Hazard KdB Maddison Pereyra
    Arnautovic Wilson
    (Boruc, AWB, Diop, Jimenez)

Looks very strong imo, plenty of captaincy options, strong bench for winter period, and most importantly no strikers who only play 2/3rds of the gameweek.

Going alright this year 3,500 OR and have taken one hit all season. However faced with a bit of a urge to do Mitro, Patricio and Stephens to Success, Ederson and Barkley all for -8

    Current team is
    Patricio
    Robertson, Mendy, Alonso
    Salah, Hazard, Fraser, Pereyra
    Aguero, Mitro, King
Bench: Spironi, Wan-B, Stephens, Stankovic (yes horror)

Do I go for it and play 5 in midfield or just relax like I have so far and do maybe Mitro out for someone?

Im giving Mitro one more week, but theres definitely merit to getting Arnie ahead of Burnley if hes fit. I wouldnt get rid of Chilwell, they have exellent fixtures.

Agree. Cant see any talent in him. Walcot was a far better player and he is average.

Hes quick and has a decent finish on him. However he goes missing far too often, even for his age. Walcott is highly average, but he atleast had a niche and Wenger got the best out of him. Mourinho doesnt develop any players at all.

I think Mahrez is the superior fantasy player out of all these, and hes the cheapest. Rotation is a slight risk though, but he seems to have settled quite well. Problem with any City midfielder is that Bernardo and Sane are wonderful players, that are going to play sometimes.

        Thx
I feel sterling be safe bet, Mahrez I could ride my luck and could get some nice returns,
kdb will his price rise a lot in November ?

Yep. KDB, the Silvas, Mahrez, Sterling, Sane. Ridiculous midfield that means rotation is inevitable.

If Pep would give me a spit n handshake that player x would never come on as a cameo from the bench, I'd take 'em

This week, yeah. Long term, nah. Find another way to get cover from both defences.

I agree. However if youre spared for cash or want to spend them elsewhere, the likes of Lovren and Laporte offer good routes and good value. Deminishing attacking returns, but Lovren has some BPS in his locker and Laporte some set piece threat.

I'm on a wildcard and have temporarily picked the following squad:

    Fabianski, Stekelenburg (GK)
Alexander-Arnold, Pereira, Balbuena, Doherty, Wan-Bissaka (DEF)
Hazard, Salah, Lamela, Barkley, Brooks (MID)
    Aguero, Aubameyang, Ings (FWD)

What are your thoughts about this squad ? I'm still looking to replace Alexander-Arnold and Pereira but not sure whom to replace them. Is it a good idea ?

Pereira is too insecure, as is Lamela. I also think Lacazette offers better value than Auba. I think a City defender is a must have, and i feel like Brooks is a bit kneejerky. Fixtures arent delightful either.

I'm planning to replace Lamela in the coming weeks for Deulofeu so that I can buy Kane in the coming weeks. I wanted some Spurs cover so I had him from the past 5 GWs. Also I have value tied up on Brooks as I had him from GW 2 so I'm a bit reluctant to sell him just yet. Could switch him to Diangana and free up money otherwise. But seeing the midweek lineups, it looks like Brooks and Lamela will start in the weekend.

Lamela will celebrate his recall to the Argentina squad with either a goal or an injury.
