Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce the dates of our Fantasy Premier League Cup competitions for the 2018/19 campaign.

We are launching our 16th open-to-all tournament, along with a ninth competition for Members. Both tournaments have £300 in prizes on offer.

Sign-up for the open tournament can be found here.

Members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris, A Manager Has No Name, Sleepysi, TH14 and our reigning champion 2EyedTurk.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

In our Members Cup, our list of winners is as follows:

Waltzingmatildas, Fuzzy Dunlop, Kippax Kickers Acquafresca, Trigg Ola Svanheld, Malaikat Jahad and the current champion rrcmc.

Again, those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of the Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How do the Cup Competitions Work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 12, with the first round proper running in Gameweek 13.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday November 12, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

The qualifying round for the Members Cup will take place week later in Gameweek 13, with the first round running in Gameweek 14.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday November 26, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

Enter the FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Members and you will need to log into the Members’ area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team ID at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

Your entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team ID as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

The Members FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team ID?

Your FPL ID is your unique ID for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right-hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL ID field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after November 12 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Results from the Members Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after November 26 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

    Foster,
    Mendy, Alonso, Trent,
Salah, Haz (C), Bark, Maddy, Fraser,
    Wilson, Vardy,

    Alisson, Doherty, AWB, Deeney

    Strengthen attack or defence?

TTA to Laporte or Deeney to Arnie, 1.5 itb?

    Play which goalie?

I would just play Doherty this week instead of TAA and use the money to get Rob next week. Aa tempting as Arnie is, you dont need another striker. If you want him just get him in for Wilson after Arnie plays City i.e or downgrade somewhere in mid to go back to 3 strikers.

Play Foster probably, Newcastle are aaaaawful

would you please listen to me for a second ?

2 of my defenders are: TAA and bennett
it's likely that TAA won't start. and even if he starts he may concede.
bennett is on bench, so he will come in, in a game vs spurs where they will likely concede too.
and as you know, TAA should go now or then someday.
isn't it better to buy laporte for a hit ? bennett/TAA likely score is: 2
and laporte 6. the hit may pay back soon and I have made my transfer.

    full team:

    patricio
    alonso robertson mendy TAA
    salah hazard maddison
    aguero Arnie wilson

    hamer bennett hojberg romeu
    0.8 itb

    thanks in advance

this is madness, save your transfer and never take a hit for a defender, especially one that is expected to score just 6.

A couple of questions if you don't mind folks:

    1. Is this team ok for this week (will give me 2 free transfers next week) or would you recommend any changes?
    2. Is picking Sterling as captain a decent option or too risky?

    Patricio
    Mendy | Alonso | Robertson
    Maddison | Fraser | Hazard | Sterling (c) | Siggurdsson
    Aguero | Mitrovic

    Norris | Doherty | AWB | Kamara

Not aiming for that! There was considerable buzz on him preseason. Then he saw reduced minutes early, and the excitement faded. He's now played all 270 of the last City league minutes ('gainst opposition both stout and weak), bagging a pair of goals in the process. Rested for garbage Carabao match. Is it time to get him in (especially at that price point)?

Not against HField for a hit. Rubbish at the back but do normally score and Mitro normally involved. Next week he’s gone (for Arnie)

    2. The Mighty Hippo
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 2 months ago

The only risk with this is that Arnie still doesn't seem fully fit and Mitro has a good fixture this week. I'd suggest holding for one more week and then doing the move as a free transfer.

I have the exact same issue. And even though everyone says to wait till next week.. not worth the -4 hit... im doing it. just watched Mitrovic play 90 minutes and ive had it. I'm sure he wont do anything vs Hfield while Arnautovic probably gonna go off vs Burnley at home

    Patricio - Hamer
    Alonso - Robertson - Doherty - Duffy - AWB
    Salah - Hazard - Rich - Fraser - Masuaku
    Aguero - Arnie - Mitro

    2FT & 0.8ITB.

    A) Duffy, Mitro -> Success, Mendy
    B) Duffy, Fraser -> Camarasa, Mendy
    C) Duffy, Fraser, Mitro -> Wilson, Murphy, Mitro -4 (much better bench than A)
    D) Masuaku -> Murphy (dont get Mendy)

Thoughts? Looking at A, but C is tempting as it sets me up better for the upcoming GWs (and I think Wilson is gonna do well next 5).

TAA in? Barkley may not start next week. Mad -> Rich is not worth a transfer. So no, no and no. Just get Rob in for Trippier.
