Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce the dates of our Fantasy Premier League Cup competitions for the 2018/19 campaign.

We are launching our 16th open-to-all tournament, along with a ninth competition for Members. Both tournaments have £300 in prizes on offer.

Sign-up for the open tournament can be found here.

Members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris, A Manager Has No Name, Sleepysi, TH14 and our reigning champion 2EyedTurk.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

In our Members Cup, our list of winners is as follows:

Waltzingmatildas, Fuzzy Dunlop, Kippax Kickers Acquafresca, Trigg Ola Svanheld, Malaikat Jahad and the current champion rrcmc.

Again, those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of the Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How do the Cup Competitions Work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 12, with the first round proper running in Gameweek 13.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday November 12, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

The qualifying round for the Members Cup will take place week later in Gameweek 13, with the first round running in Gameweek 14.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday November 26, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

Enter the FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Members and you will need to log into the Members’ area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team ID at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

Your entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team ID as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

The Members FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team ID?

Your FPL ID is your unique ID for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right-hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL ID field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after November 12 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Results from the Members Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after November 26 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Because he blanked 3 games in a row and people are knee jerking

If he blanks 4 games in a row, is it not a knee-jerk?

Cos you can't have them all....and sometimes there have to be sacrifaces.

I'm probably reluctantly losing him this week.

These decisions are part and parxel of the game and I will use him to raise funds for ings to arnie

Reasonable to release funds to upgrade other players. I guess it all depends on team structure.

I've got Richarlison who is easily upgraded to Maddison, an appealing move when all my budget players have tough fixtures in the next 6-10 weeks and Leicester have a more favourable run.

Thoughts on Deulefeu looks like he will be playing OOP playing ahead of success and at 5.4 could be a great 4/5th mid? Any reason why he isn’t on many teams?

He's a great pick, I reckon. Will probably sell Richarlison for him if he blanks against Brighton.

Will be interesting to see how he does back on the right flank, though.

Interesting. I'm looking for a Fraser replacement sub 6m and he might just fit the bill. Do you think he starts the next few? He's always had issues with consistency / managers trust from memory (at Everton)

Watford likely to be unchanged at Newcastle, I'd have thought. After that game who knows!

Nice short term punt that could turn into something longer. He definitely has the calibre.

            I'm purchasing tomorrow.

Maddison and ings to deulofeu and Arnie from free.

He is OOP up front and has real quality

      Answer me below!

  4. Balotellitubbies

    Patricio
    Alonso - Robertson - Doherty
    Salah - Hazard - Rich - Fraser
    Aguero - Arnie - Mitro

(Hamer, Duffy - Masuaku - AWB)

    2FT & 0.8ITB.

    A) Duffy+Mitro > Success+Mendy
    B) Duffy+Fraser > Camarasa+Mendy
    C) Duffy+Fraser+Mitro > Wilson+Murphy+Mitro -4 (much better bench than A)
    D) Masuaku > Murphy (dont get Mendy)

Thoughts? Looking at A, but C is tempting as it sets me up better for the upcoming GWs (and I think Wilson is gonna do well next 5).

    a) Højbjerg (4.4) to Pugh (4.3)

    c) TAA to Digne
    d) TAA to Balbuena

I think Lovren is worth having if you have 3 or 4 nailed defenders in your back 5.

Is removing Richarlison (home to Brighton) crazy for a -4 to Sterling?

I really can decide if it’s a good idea or not.

Not crazy, much bigger upside to sterling and not convinced with richarlison(although home fixtures are amazing)

I’ll want rid of Richarlison next week anyway and I want to move towards a heavier midfield. So if I’m going to do that Sterling seems a prime option and then therefore could be worth getting a week earlier. That’s my dilemma.

What are people’s thoughts on Barkley and Hazard this weekend.

Is hazard likely to play and if so does that meant Barkley isn’t ? With Sarri play them both ?

Kovacic played midweek so it's looking likely that Barkley starts vs Palace.

If Hazard is fit then Pedro/Loftus-Cheek will sit out. Doesn't affect Barkley's position.

If Hazard declared fit then should start although small risk he starts on bench and comes on during second half and as Kovacic played v Spurs Barkley should start.

Ok so I have Laca and Mitro, who I both want to transfer out.
I'd like to do Laca > Vardy and Mitro > Arnie, but I am concerned about Arnie's knee. Im not sure whether to keep Mitro this week or get Arnie straight away.

I have a plan for my next transfer so it doesn't matter hit-wise whether I do Mitro > Arnie now or next week. Stats show Arnie is superior and Burnley's def is still in shambles, while Huddersfield def is ok.

The biggest worry is getting Arnie when he might aggravate his knee, whilst Mitro might be fighting for Jokanovic's job (the manager who revived his career, and they are both Serbian).

Tbf Laca > Vardy seems like the most sensible, and keeping Mitro for Hud.

I would ship both Laca and Mitro within next week, get Arnie in for one of them this week. His knee shouldn't keep him out.

I would downgrade somewhere so that you can upgrade Mitro to Arnie and that horrow show of a bench a little bit. Fraser > Murphy?
