Scoutcast Episode 275 – Thirties

With scores all in the thirties, Gameweek 13 was one to forget for the Scoutcast crew.

After forcing themselves to relive this dire set of points, Az, David, Luke and Joe dust themselves off and look ahead to better times.

Manchester City’s wealth of midfield options come under particular scrutiny during the community questions segment. A total of 44 points from David Silva, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling against West Ham last weekend makes this is a group of players that demand attention.

Tottenham’s emerging assets in the centre of the park have also caught the community’s collective eye.

Son Heung-min, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen all impressed in the north London side’s victory over Chelsea at the weekend. However, the Scoutcast crew are more interested in their premium-priced teammate Harry Kane to help them take advantage of Spurs’ kind set of festive fixtures.

Elsewhere, David reveals some notable team frailties and the players who are set to exploit them over December. Gylfi Sigurdsson is looking such a strong option in this regard that Joe wishes there could be two of the Everton set-piece specialist to draft into his squad.

Differentials, clean sheets, captaincy and transfer plans are also discussed. With the festive fixture list stepping up a gear, this covers both Gameweeks 14 and 15 as both take place during a frantic six-day block of Premier League matches starting this Friday.

Have 2.3 ITB and 1 FT.

Would you take a -4 over the next 2 weeks to do Salah, Kenedy & Ings to D. Silva, Camarasa & Kane?

Yeah it does. I’d still have Liverpool cover in Mane too. Would give a front 8 of:

        Mane, D.Silva, Martial Richarlison, Camarasa
        Kane, Aguero, Arnautovic

What if Pep makes Sterling play in midfield again if either Bernardo or Gündogan or both are not fit this weekend. I don't see potential returns for Sterling in that position and also City won't keep a Clean Sheet.

IMO, Sterling in Midfield is a way better scenario than Sterling on the Bench!
I bet if Sterling started at RB, he would still end up with more Penalty Area touches than everyone else besides Aguero!
...plus, why wouldn’t they keep a clean sheet? Bournemouth will either Knick 1 or not—no matter the personal

    Thoughts here? 1ft 1.3 itb.

    -Fab
    -Alonso-Doherty-Robbo-Diop
    -Salah-Haz-Richa
    -Kun-Jimenez-Arnie
    ----Button---Camarasa--Fraser--Dignea

    a) Haz to Sane
    b) Diop to TAA
    c) Both for a hit.
    d) Save.

    Thanks a lot guys.

Don’t switch Hazard this week, they’ve got Fulham at home.

(Def wouldn’t bring in Delph over TAA(or waste a city slot w/ Delph—period! But bringing in TAA for the LFC Defensive-DoubleUp this week seems odd if you’re gonna start Richarlison imo?)

    I think I've got it:

This week: Salah, Richarlison > Mane, David Silva

Next week: Hazard, Aguero > Sterling, Kane -4

I have 0.3itb wiggle room after this week's transfers so I can afford some price changes and still be able to do next week's transfers

I don’t really understand the logic of Dropping Salah, but bringing in Mané?
Form over last 4+ gw’s Says that Salah is def worth 3mil more than Mané!! ...also, if u are cool w/ dropping Salah(which I am 75% sure of doing this week), why would u want Mané?
[ALTERNATIVE IN This Week= DeleAlli & Sané]

I like it but I’d keep Richarlison and roll one transfer to save the -4 and leave yourself money in the bank. After Liverpool, Everton have 2 home games against Newcastle & Watford. Richarlison is still a great option as a nailed out of position player.

so many "aguero to kane in next gw" comments.. i struggle to understand why. yes spurs has a fixture swing coming up. but the guy cost 12.3(!) and got 1,2,2,7,5,6 in the last 6 games, which included cardiff, west ham, wolves and palace. why would you still want him?

    1. GAMBIT

Historically does well over the Christmas period, Aguero is being outscored by Sterling and will probably be rotated whilst Kane is nailed

Less competition for Aguero owners. He also costs more so people are downgrading elsewhere too.

I'm bored of having Aguero, so just want to add a new face and only player who i feel can match Kun is Kane, thats the only reason for me, dont know whether that will bring more point or not

The teams coming up are worse than those you mentioned. He & Spurs seem to have a hit a bit of form. Also he is one of the very few premium attackers you can expect to play every game when fit.

i can only bring him in if i am confident in giving him the armband, which im not sure at the moment

    4. Valar(Keith)

Why pick 6 games? You could easily argue that he has scored 7,5,6 in the last 3 games vs 2 tough away teams and Chelsea and hence he is hitting some form. Plus spurs are looking better and you'd expect kane to get more minutes than most premiums over christmas.. Add to that they have amazing fixtures and I can totally see why ppl are considering a swap

      1. NOMONEY
        • 8 Years

i looked at those 6 cos they are most recent 6 games. i just mean i was expecting more from those games, at a least a double digit or two from a 12.0+ striker

      I agree with you 100% @NoMoney!
Could get burned; but after resent form & UCL, i’m liking Alli & Eriksen a lot more than Kane!! NTM, like 40% less owned. Plus, if either of them return, there is waaaay more room & Potential for their prices to soar!!
(Also, to those ‘bored’ w/ Aguero; aren’t you swapping him for the ‘soon-to-be’ most boring striker?)

have you listened to the scoutcast? there are good arguments to do it. aguero not performing away from home, and would rather get kane before he starts scoring. it's an easy downgrade to get aguero back in. i plan on getting sterling + sane to cover mci attack.

Rob holding at 4.4m has started the last 7or 8 games for arsenal - and no one mentions him?

Koscielny is returning very soon. He had 45 min for the reserve team recently and Sokratis has played better in the last game. Arsenal also keeping few clean sheets.

I just love the way people"presume" on this site.
It was a question about Kane, not getting Kane instead of Rondon without funds.

Vardy to Kane and downsize a mid. (A suggestion only)
