We had 64 fantasy managers going head-to-head across double Gameweek 28, all looking for a place in the next round of the Members Paddy Power Cup II. You can see who progressed by viewing the full set of results right here.

Upsetting the odds this week were seamus and Billy Ketsu, who eliminated the number one and two ranked Fantasy managers in the round. Top seed JimNastics bowed out 67 – 60 to seamus, and second seed herzzz was knocked out 64 – 39 by Billy Ketsu.

Top score this week went to cup regular Bend it Like Bennett, who edged out the third highest-scorer chinmusic 82 – 77. Disastrous luck for chinmusic.

After the round three oddity of no drawn ties, we had a solitary draw in the fourth. Thanks to his slightly superior ranking (43,730th), Raizo comes out on top after his 56 – 56 draw with dlpc (58,650th).

Congratulations to the 32 teams advancing to the fifth round, and hard luck to those defeated. The draw for the next round will be made shortly.

A reminder that our fifth Paddy Power Cup is now open for entry. This tournament is open to all – full details can be found in this post.

Want to do Suarez > Rooney this week but I am £0.1M short at present. Should I do a transfer to enable me to do the Suarez > Rooney and take a 4pt hit. I'm thinking of getting rid of Silva to finance the move, who would be everyone's choice of player to bring in for him? I am currently 45pts behind my ML leader.

id consider 2 scenarios, silva to young/nani/valencia (will have a big idea of who to get in after todays europa league match) and suarez to rooney for a 4 pt hit OR give suarez a chance vs qpr and prevent a 4pt hit and take out silva for nani young or val.... altho i may favour 2nd option cuz i dont think hits ever benefit you but in the case of you wanting to cap rooney u may have to do it, cheers

He's the front runner at the moment, slightly worried by rotation but I guess its the same with Silva at MCI

alot of people talking about spurs from gwk31 (this was my initial plan) but 31 and 32 they have

    SWA, sun

these really arent the easiest of fixtures. anyone tempted to wait until gwk33?

Already have Bale and Kaboul. Planned on Suarez > Adebayor but now i think i might just keep Suarez. Looking to get Lamps or Drogs in for the Wigan fixture.

Good point you have! Ill wait and see.

          What do you think about

          Skrtel, Simpson, McClean
          to
          Caulker, Shotton/McAuley, Walcott
          ?

          Gives me:
          Krul, Bogdan
          Evans, Lescott, Caulker, Shotton, Kelly
          Walcott, Silva, Bale, Dempsey, Young
          Holt, Rooney, RVP

Alas, no Chelsea and only Bale from Spurs.

If City falter to Chelsea this coming GW I will probably sell Silva to fund Walcott.

Exactly what I thought when I looked at the ticker few weeks back. I have BAE and Bale already, got them cheap, so will probably stick, but I wont be getting a third.

    Hi guys,

Worth doing Valencia and Silva to Young and Yaya Toure? will leave me with 0 in the bank. Really rate Valencia but i think Young is a must have? Team below

    Vorm (Mignolet)
    Evans, Skrtel, Williamson (Caulker, Richards)
    Valencia, Silva, Bale, Dempsey (McClean)
    RVP, Rooney, Ba

    cheers!

        young will not be dropped.
if Val is ready it will be Val and Young
Nani will be living on the bench

Seen it all before... Young is too inconsistent. Has 2 or 3 good games then does nothing or gets injured... What is wrong with Nani anyway? Why won't Utd update us on his injury?

Nani is about to sign a massive new contract making him 2nd highest earner at the club behind Rooney.

Don't bet on him being 3rd choice.

Makes sense, as he is a better player than Young.

I think the best wingers at United are Valencia and Nani. At this stage of the season though, form is what really matters, and you cant see Young being dropped after his recent man of the match performances.

Long term, Nani/Valencia is a better bet, no doubt. But we arent talking long term. The next 5 weeks is what matters!

Yeah agree the current first choice will probably be Young and Valencia at today's date.

Think the 3 will just rotate who's starting most games, ie. Don't expect the same two to start many games in a row.

I'm putting myself off them now 😀

very much doubt it. Nani has been pants for the last couple of months.

Probably because Nani has been injured for most of that time.

The two games he has played since 22 January he got an assist in each of them.

Still not bad for a massively off form player.

    Folks.

Anyone knows CHE formation? How many strikers they play? Only one? Getting Drogba might be in that case risky, because Torres also applies for that position.

Good day everyone. I understand the hype over bringing Drogba in over the next few weeks. (i am even contemplating it myself). However, CHE are chasing CL and FA Cup. Given that they SHOULD beat Leicester quarter finals, they will play at least 4 additional matches between now and seasons end. Is there not any fear he will or other CHE players (Mata, Cahill) be rotated?

UPDATE: Don't wish to repost this, and thanks for replies I got, which seemed to suggest Taiwo -> Evans was the way to go. But as Kompany won't play this GW, should I replace Evans with him, allowing a transfer of Pilks -> Valencia for GW30?

All the considered interesting managers seem to be around at the moment, so would appreciate some advice for GW29:

    Current Team:

    Krul (Ming)
    Senderos Kompany Enrique (Tawio Caulker)
    Bale Dempsey Silva McClean (Pilks)
    Rooney RVP Suarez

My headscratcher this week with 1FT and 0.4 in the bank:

    Evans -> Tawio, or
Evans -> Kompany Pilks -> Valencia

    Any thoughts guys, cheers.

Taiwo isn't starting so he's not really a good player to have. Kompany out though with Valencia in a week later gives you a chance to see what he does against Wolves. I'd favour that one, and start Senderos, Enrique and Evans. Most people seem to have a second Utd attacking player and Valencia is a good choice imo.

I'm having the problem of removing Taiwo myself. If I don't do Mata -> Walcott this week, I may get rid of Taiwo this week or save the transfer and upgrade him later with the Mata -> Walcott money. This makes more sense.

Getting 3 Utd players by next week is good idea.

Dempsey NEEDS to be in that line-up. In my opinion he is 1st choice of your 5 midfielders for this Gameweek
