Ain’t snow stopping us now. Despite the downpour of white stuff in the North-East St James’ Park is good to go to play host to Chelsea and that is where we start our Sunday affairs.

Newcastle welcome Cheikh Tiote back into their team after suspension, Sol Campbell and Steven Taylor cover for the suspended Williamson and Coloccini while Wayne Routledge comes in for Kevin Nolan who has picked up a knock. Chelsea play the eleven as revealed earlier in the week..

Newcastle XI: Krul; Simpson, Campbell, S. Taylor, Enrique; Routledge, Guthrie, Tiote, Gutierrez; Ameobi, Carroll

Chelsea XI: Cech; Bosingwa, Alex, Ivanovic, Cole; Mikel, Ramires, Malouda; Anelka, Drogba, Kalou

After we weather the storms up north we have Spurs playing host to Liverpool to warm our cockles while the gameweek comes to a close.

All of you looking for your matchday fix can of course head into the Dugout Discussion to discuss your favourite snowflake or, preferably, Fernando Torres’ impending hat-trick.

        why?!

        look at his form, consistent

and he's at home against a chelsea side with low confidence

i can't see myself ever benching him

C'mon man, it was a lucky goal. Alex & Ivanovic are still class defenders. Adam could have had 2 assists if Dj Campbell could finish. I don't regret my decision...at the moment.

I hate Elmander. He made me get rid of Carroll. The only thing that would have made that goal even more enjoyable is me not being a twonk and hauling him out for that Bolton bandwagon cont.

admittedly, I'm a NU fan, but with his form and frequent scoring, why would you even consider dropping or benching Carroll!!!

I dropped Drogba for Elmander a few GW's ago, it paid off for last GW, but now thinking getting Bent in for Elmander...

But Carroll will always stay in my team for as long as he keeps this form up.

I don't know why people were selling Carroll for? Elmander is a good striker but taking Carroll out for him is a sideways move, in my opinion.

I argued about a month ago that Carroll was a season keeper. Quite clear now that he's fixture proof too.

I've been a bit of a Carroll stalwart - but I can't say I'm not a bit concerned by Elmander's form, which hasn't subsided after one '2', he looked like he had a decent game.

Great to see Carroll getting on the scoresheet, even if it was a bit of a gift, but I think I'd be happy with either in my team.

Actually, I was just thinking what a joke player he was. He's lost possession pretty much every time he's had the ball and his first touch is awful.

Did someone hijack the Chelsea team a few weeks ago and put a load of look-a-likes in their places? This is nothing like the Chelsea team that were putting everyone to the sword at the start of the season!

Keep the updates coming, i'm stuck overseas and can't get the game on TV, so relying on your words to help get an idea of how the games are shaping up,

So far NU 1 - CH 0 right?

1-0 i hope the NU boys don't screw this lead up, we need more wins at home to keep the faithful happy... and to climb the table.

Haha, yes, what can I say - Guilty.

I started the season with a ordinary side, played my WC too early, and kept getting screwed with players getting injured in the Champions League and Internationals...

Since then I've just mucked around with the sides, pretty happy with what I have now though, prob downgrade A Cole in the near future and bring in Bent for Elmander.

Next year I'll be more focused on minimal hits. This year is just about getting a taste for how it all unfolds,

This is my first season of FPL btw, so yeah, just enjoying the year and enjoying following Newcastle while they're back up in the EPL.
