The best Arsenal players to sign for Blank Gameweek 27

Fantasy Premier League managers are looking to Arsenal to plug the gaps in their squads for Blank Gameweek 27.

With Manchester City, Everton, Chelsea and Brighton all without a fixture next weekend, Southampton’s trip to north London has grabbed the attention of many.

The Saints have just six points from a possible 24 in their last eight away matches, which they have lost by a score of 16 goals to 10, so the interest is understandable.

In this latest Members’ Article, we have analysed which of Arsenal’s options are the best to consider for Blank Gameweek 27, as well as for the future.

We will also be comparing these top Gunners against assets from other teams to look at the broader issue of how to factor Blank Gameweek 27 into our long-term plans.

Be cautious on buying multiple West Ham and Newcastle assets to build a GW31 team.
If Palace and Chelsea make the fa cup semis then West Ham and Newcastle blank GW33
Fulham blank GW33 if Watford make the semis

Leicester and Bournemouth assists seem better options as they both have decent and confirmed fixtures from GW30-35

Thinking of going 3 Liverpool, 3 Leicester and 3 Bournemouth for 31/33 plus 2 others.

    Salah VVD TAA
    Schmeichel Pereira Maddison
    Fraser, Brooks Wilson

    Anyone else like this?

Clearly if palace, wolves or Chelsea go out fa cup this week, I will have between 1-4 more playing in GW31. And would buy Chelsea or spurs or arsenal instead of Leicester and Bournemouth double ups.

Only have 10 starters this week (unless Ings* recovers) so thinking a -4 makes sense. Best option?

    A) Holebas -> Perreira/Chilwell
    B) Siggy -> Mane/Pogba/Maddison
    C) Ings -> Arnie/Jimenez
    D) no hits

    Fabs
    Kolasinac, TAA, Doherty
    Salah, Son, FAnderson, Camarasa
    Auba, Rashford, Ings*

    Steele, Digne, Holebas, Siggy
Bank 2.6m, 0FT, all chips & WC left

If you are navigating BGW 31 with FTs, then A surely.
If you are using FH in GW31, and would captain Auba this week, then B looks more tempting.

I did Laporte to Pereira last week because that allowed me to do Rich to Son.
Digne is still on the bench. Easily benchable, will decide based on FA cup results. His fixtures aren't bad , he is still one of the most attacking full backs in Epl, the fact that he hit the post again makes him easier to keep.

I’d be grateful if some Newcastle fans could help me choose a defender. Below are my thoughts, which could be way off, but none seem an obvious pick.
    1) Schar: Could get attacking points, but picks up far too many yellow cards, two away from a ban
    2) Lascelles: Probably most likely for bonus points when they get a clean sheet, but hasn’t had a shot on target all season
    3) Yedlin: Good attacking stats, but it seems the fans think he’s the weak link so is he at risk of being dropped?
    Thanks

Not a fan but pored over stats. None really great consistent attacking stats. Yedlin just got assist against CSKA and the fans on forums were that was great if only he played like that for 90 etc. Lejeune for cheapest if you think CS and maybe 1 bonus if lucky

Cheers, didn’t think of that, Lejeune could be the way to go, only the cheapest coz he’s been out all season, and the fans seem to rate him.

This is what I call slow season at FFS. Just like the old days. You can make a conversation without the pages flying ...

So will we know all the doubles and blanks before next week?

Isn't wildcard GW 34 too late? If you play it earlier that means more possibilities to benefit from it no?

BB needs to be used in a DGW and immediately after a WC, so that rules out GW31/32 for that as you'll be WC'ing a team that won't play too much in GW31.

So that leaves WC/BB as GW34/35...that's locked in.

The big question now is when to free hit. That's still up in the air.

If Wolves and Chelsea get knocked out and are available for GW31, your team for GW31 is not looking horrific and is quite possibly largely in place. In this scenario, building a team for GW31/33 using FTs and FH DGW32 is viable.

If neither get knocked out and the remaining teams in GW31 (excluding Liverpool) are terrible, this means building a team for DGW32 using FTs starting now, FH GW31 in/out of the LEI/BUR/BOU/NEW players you don't want long term, then wing it in GW33 which hopefully won't be too bad.

Currently favouring option 2 as it allows stockpiling of City assets etc. to catch the nice fixtures in the run-up to GW31

Sadly I already blew mine on Kane's 1pt'er against Cardiff.

There's a possibilty Chelsea get a random DGW outside GW32/35 as City had one last time, so Hazard's always an option.

Other than that, check for a plum single GW fixture for Salah or Aguero probably

Two most important ties of the round today for FPL players as Utd vs City was always likely to be a blank.

Most will have two Wolves (Doherty and one of Jimienez or Jota), one Arsenal (bringing in Auba for GW27), one Spurs (Son) and one Palace (AWB).

Wolves and Palace wins will mean at least 4 BGW 31 players there right away for most FPL teams

Good morning......I've got all my chips but really confused about when to use them. What strategy looks best? What are you planning?

If remaining FA Cup results mean more blanks probably going short 31 and 33

I'm starting to think even with maximum blanks, FH32 will still be better than 31, as there may be few points on offer and most should be able to field at least 8 decent players, compared to 32 when the FH can be used to add up to another 11 sets of points

That is why you bring in DGW players from now until DGW 32, which allows you to FH in BGW 31.

For me, some of the players I feel may score well in 32 (Higuain, Haz, Sterling, Auba) are much harder to fit into my current team structure than the ones I'd want in 31. Much easier to bring in an Arnie or a Mane with FTs, the rest of the fixtures on offer in 31 are meh IMO.

    De Gea
    Doherty VVD AWB
    Salah Son Anderson Mane
    Gallagher Jimenez Rashford

    Speroni Bednarek Richarlison Laporte

Morning all, would like some expertise advice here please if possible around chip strategy, have had a quick look at Ben Crellin's Twitter page but based on my squad and the fact I have no WC left would you say this is the best chip strategy:-

    FH - 31
    BB - 35
    TC - 36

Also with £2.5m ITB would you say get rid of fodder Gallagher > Rondon for -4 is a good move this week which would still leave me with over 1m to get team in order for upcoming blanks and doubles?

Alternatively if DGW32 goes ahead you would have more doubles than 35, so you could consider planning for that to be BB to make the most out of it, then FH31 and TC in 35.
Or plan for 31 and 33, FH 32 and then BB 35 but you wouldn't have many games to turn your 33 team into your bb35 team

        Thank you.

Would you do Gallagher > Rondon for a -4 this week?

Yes that looks good, I would also maybe consider Richa out for similar priced mid (Almiron/Fraser)

Who would you prefer for a max 6.3 million midfielder from the next gameweek, gw28? (I might need to go there if I want to get Aguero)

    a. Fraser
    b. Camarasa
    c. Jota (I already got two Wolves players

Thoughts on Fraser as a potential Rich replacement? Decent fixture this GW and through the blanks, plus the 0.5 saving would allow me to bring in a 3rd Pool player in time for WAT.

Hmm..WC 34 & BB 35 is the plan but not looking good even if all PL teams win today.

Only Man.Utd and City players but most will have them.

Tough fixtures or bad teams, need some BGW31 matches to be moved to DGW35.
