- Improve frontline - has to be Graham as Yak on pens and BBR have got alot more to play for. So if Graham 5.1 = 7.5 on new striker (possibly Sunderland or Jelavic - though his game time looks hit and miss) - may then give option to upgrade mid - even maybe Arteta or Siggy?
So maybe a 352 formation on average though could also be 343 on right weeks.

As a Newcastle fan, do you think that Pardew will persist with Papiss Cissé as the main striker, with Demba Ba pushed out wide? They seemed to be replicating the pecking order in the Senegal national team today. Really rate both strikers, by the way.
Open ControlsAfter today, you've got to think so, the slightly different formation we've used recently looks very explosive and more capable of scoring goals.
Ba has rarely played as the furthest man forward even earlier in the season (he played behind Best or Shola) but with the formation change, that role has been moved out left, slightly diminishing his number of chances.
The reason for the change as I see it, is that Pardew's finally found a way to get Ben Arfa in the side (he didn't really trust him to play RM in a 442 or as the SS in a 4411). So as long as Ben Arfa remains in the side, Cisse should stay as the central man generally.
On the other hand, they do move around and Ba does take up the central role for some of the game and being on the left won't necessarily prevent him from being a fantasy option. Take today for instance, Ba was an inch away from scoring Cisse's 1st and would have scored his 2nd if wasn't pulled back by the West Brom defender, could have been so different...

Not a knee-jerk, but yes, probably. I know what a good striker Papiss Cissé is from his time with SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga and I said when he arrived in England that it would only be a question of time before he settled here.
He's a natural goalscorer and if Pardew is replicating the Senegal pecking order and viewing him as the main striker, he's worth a go at £6.7m. (But I'm useless at FPL, especially this week, so...)Open Controls
