Chasing a lead, need points like right now.

Ba's bonus was a pleasant surprise but not enough to spare him the guillotine.

Best forward to replace him with with emphasis on the next few games? Considering Adebayor(SWA), Pogrebnyak(NOR), Cisee(LIV), Crouch(wig) etc.

    Already got Roon and vP.

I've got Cisse in to replace Ba (also have RVP and Rooney). Newcastle are a top team and they have a lot left to fight for, and he is in form, so a no-brainer for me.

Having played 14 games at home this season, Man Utd have been awarded 7 penalties at OT. 50% chance of them being awarded a penalty at home. Not that referees are terrified of SAF or anything.

i think arsenal do an awful lot more knocking the ball a about outside the box than united who tend to drive into the box. i mean we have had some dodgy decisions go against us at OT too like Ba's and how many of our peno's weren't actually peno's

    Quick question:

Who to bench from a front 8 of next week:

    Bale - Walcott - Miyachi - Siggurdson - Valencia

    RVP - Pogrebnyak - Rooney

I'm currently going with Sigurdsson but may change to Miyachi

Personally, I'm keeping my Liverpool defence. But if I had to choose I'd go with Verm or Baines. Both have good fixtures and are equally an attacking threat. Perhaps Arsenal would have a higher chance of CS to fall back on in case they both fail to score. So Verm if you weigh up things

That's why I'm currently leaning towards BAE.
Chelsea have a heavy schedule being in the FA Cup and the Champions League and he is more likely to be rotated than BAE.

I think Vermaelen, but I might be biased after his last 3 weeks of heroics for me.
Plays for a better team, fixtures are similar, more likely for a clean sheet and similar chance for attacking stats, plus he is cheaper.

So fellow patient Yaya owners, what are planning to do with him?

I was all set to dump him when suddenly his hard work week in week out finally translates into FPL points. Think I'll keep another week and see how it goes, but still mighty tempting to ditch for Walcott.

If you can do Yaya > Walcott for a free this week, there should be no hesitation unless there is a move elsewhere which needs doing.

Yaya home to Sunderland vs Walcott away to QPR. Not an essential move this week. Next week they play each other, so neither are that attractive.
Thinking I will keep as is this week and then decide which of Yaya or Dempsey to dump thereafter.
Skrtel or Reina out priority this week.

I would class QPR away an easier game than SUN home, Walcott plays further forward and has better form!

Keeping this week and then no real point swapping for Walcott week after either. Tempted to sit for two weeks and then reassess form of the pair of them, and also others like Ben Arfa even

I think further patience may be required. Keen to see how Yaya can do against Sunderland at home and against Arsenal. Not sure Walcott will get much joy against a man city defence that is likely to include Kompany in Gwk 32.

agreed. Too many big decisions resting in midfield for run in. Settled on Valencia and Bale until end and currently have Yaya, Dempsey, Siggy. Walcott / Ben Arfa on radar, but not ready to push button on final selection yet. Toure could quite easily outscore Walcott over next two. Walcott far better at home than away anyway.

Doing Silva to Yaya, think it's a no brainer and still gives me top four cover right through apart from Chelsea.

Then will use the cash either this week or next (have two transfers) to change Enrique to Verm or Baines, or Pog to Cisse after game this week, or Pog to cheapie and Reo to Valencia and go 3-5-2 next week.... Outing Enrique appeals most, but going 3-5-2 with a choice midfield also appeals.. Will be Bale, Yaya, Sess, Sinclair, Valenica:)

Or could just do Silva to Valencia and be done with City apart from Hart. Just wished Silva would have kept going then my team is fine through to the end apart from injuries. Annoying.

Silva is dead to me fantasy wise. Check out a great article Christ Glover did called a season of two halves which explains how great players in the first half of the season rarely replicate this form in the second half.

There were two exceptions last season...will be doing a watchlist article this week on one of them.

His job is stopping goals - he let 3 in. McClean's job is making goals happen and he scored one and assisted another. The bonus system is not fit for purpose. (Actually, I'm just tetchy because I benched Papiss for the first time after owning him from his first game).
