With a couple of assists to his name in the past seven Gameweeks, Gareth Bale is slowly slipping in the estimations of Fantasy managers. The Tottenham midfielder has dropped in price of late, down from 9.7 to 9.5 as the attacking returns all but dry up.

Perhaps itโ€™s the pressure of the chase for third that has affected his performances. Possibly itโ€™s been an unkind run of fixtures that have curtailed his opportunities โ€“ Harry Redknappโ€™s side have fallen behind Arsenal after facing (liv, NEW, ars, MUN, eve, STK, che) since Gameweek 24, in a difficult run that has produced a single victory. Even then, though, in that 5-0 win over Newcastle, Bale picked up no more than 3 points for his Fantasy owners, as Emmanuel Adebayor stole the show with a 21 point haul against the Magpies.

In todayโ€™s Members article, we take a look at our own ICT Index and analyse the Opta stats in order to ascertain just whether Bale has suffered a downturn in performance, ahead of an obliging run of fixtures for the north London outfit:

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

My genius plan for DGW in GW 36

        GW 32: Dempsey>Bale

        GW 33:Save

        GW 34:Surman>McClean

        GW 35: McAuley>Ream

GW 36: Walcott and Vermaelen > Lampard/Mata/Gerrard and Terry and possibly Rooney> Adebayor IF Spurs find back some attacking form.

Will give me this team for GW 36:

        Mignolet(BOL)
        Terry(QPR,NEW)-BAE(BLA,bol)-Caulker(WOL)
        Bale(BLA,bol)-L/M/G(possible: (QPR,NEW) or (nor,FUL) - Siggy(WOL)-McClean(BOL)
        Adebayor(BLA,bol)-RVP(sto)-Cisse(che,wig)

I'm heading into these upcoming weeks with military precision (fail to prepare, prepare to fail that's what the manual says). So, my bench for the blank GW will be a strong 3 (not sure on GK yet) of Skrtel, Bale and BAE. These are 3 players that I currently own and deem worthy of holding through a blank gameweek in order to grab the gold at the end of the rainbow.

Others I currently own with an upcoming blank:
        Ba - form.
Dempsey - 2 away games. Walcott to fill his space during 34.
Simpson - bargain and I'd never thought I'd sell him, but I don't think he's worth a bench spot ahead of Skrtel going into the double.

If this does not make sense, then speak now or forever hold your peace.

These bench decisions are tough, I'm thinking I'll have to sell Simpson, Dempsey and Kelly to fit Suarez, Skrtel and Bale on the bench.

I didn't think I'd be selling Simpson either, but if I want to put out 11 it has to be done

I'd keep simpson instead of Skrtl, Liverpool look shot defensively and you get extra funds for someone like Cahill.

Never too soon. Have a plan in place. If circumstances change then a plan can be abandoned but it's good to have some blueprints.

2 reasons why to plan for 34-36:

          - concrete. We know (aside from Eve/Stoke) what the situation is. Nobody has an idea regarding form. Take the third striker spot; experimental punts at the moment. But instead of "hoping" someone becomes a good option, use those precious frees to get players blanks and DGWs.

          - GW24 last season was the mother of all gameweeks *shivers*. It made or broke many people's seasons.
